You guys should have went onto Pinterest and each team chose a house for inspiration and then found a pattern to use for cutting your own gingerbread house pieces from. You could have partnered with Tasty for recipe and technique for cutting out the pieces. Yeah, way too much work but it would have been super cool! This could be a great idea for next year...

Hii^*^ Here’s some tips if you are trying to make a gingerbread house! 1- Decorate each wall before putting it together! It give you a chance to have a flat surface and it’s easier to decorate! (Ps. Make sure to let the decorations dry before putting it together) 2- Instead of frosting use glue! As they was talking about in the video it’s easier to use glue (it’s also cleaner) but if you want the same home made look to the gingerbread house you can add frosting in the decorating stage... (and if you still want to eat it you can use edible glue) 3- Make sure it has a good foundation! I suggest using a piece of cardboard (this way you can also have a nice walk way and front yard) and make sure to also secure the house to it! Also for the roof you can use a couple of pieces of rice crispy treats under the roof to make sure it does slide and is sturdy! Also if you buy a kit I suggest you get the cheapest one (just for the over all house structure) and invest in Betty Crocker’s icing (if you want to eat it) But I personally don’t eat my ginger bread houses I do them for decoration... I suggest that you eat cookies and use the gingerbread house for decoration too!🙃 Ps. Sorry if this way long and hopefully these help you out! Also don’t be afraid to invest in other candys/sugar sprinkles and things to build a nice house.

My house kept falling apart just like Ladylikes did because the icing wasn't holding, so I secretly hot glued it and then covered the visible glue in icing. My class wound up winning , and I'm not even a little bit ashamed that I cheated 😂

Even though ours wasn’t the best we have the biggest center and a coworker told me she secretly voted three times for us and we won by like 3 votes. 😆
