HotRod Jen - I can't thank you enough for these tips. Not only have you helped me overcome a current issue, you've answered questions I haven't yet come across. Now I've got a heads up of what to look out for, and how to fix them.
You've no doubt saved a lot of us folk countless hours of frustration and self doubt. Really appreciate you sharing your knowledge and wisdom, I'm looking forward to diving in deeper with my practice.
And I think it's fair to say that you're one of our generations best 'stripers, dig your style and you're up there with the best of them! Thank you for doing what you do, all the best 🖌👍
From someone who is getting ready to dive into pinstriping, I liked your explanation and tips, thanks Jen.
Awesome video Jen you've opened my eyes to a number of things I'm been fighting with for years, I've always held my brush on the flat spot and have had problems with my curves and marking the end of your opposite stroke a lot of great advice your a very talented gal love watching you work thanks for the great tips
I HAD TO WATCH IT AGAIN! GREAT VIDEO
Truly appreciate the time you took to explain the thought process. Definitely picked up some useful tidbits! Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge Jen, awesome videos hope to see more!
A landing point is something I hadn't thought of. Great tips! Your brush roll is awesome!
Oh and I used you feather vid and painted my own. Came out decent I think. Thank you!
A friend of ours did pin-stripping when I was a lot younger. He lived two houses up from my parents house. He stripped my 1979. Silver Trans-Am. He used purple and what we finally called Magenta that he mixed. We went back and forth about him calling it pink. I told him I was not a girl in any way so we decided o call it Magenta. I have pictures of the car of course and the trunk design was so cool. He even added red to the bird on the hood. Many other Trans-Am drivers questioned the “optional” bird graphic. That no one else on the planet had! 😉
Hi Jen, Great work and tips too. Thanks for sharing!
Great video and thanks for taking the time to point out the "tips". Please keep the videos coming as they are both helpful and " kool ".
Thanks for the thought process! Excellent.
Nice! I make "landing zone" points too. Never considered that I actually do it.. Just seemed to be an easy way to land where I wanna
you're the best, greetings from Argentina
awesome vid!!! Love your work!!!!
Hi Jen. Beautiful video and very well explained. I have recorded a lot of useful information to put into practice. Continue ... continue .... continue to do them !!! (I have to come there to take ten days of lessons😬) You are great !!!!!!
that is a very cool pinstriped Elephant
THANKS FOR THE GREAT EXPLANATION, 2 THUMBS UP
Working wet on wet. How do you keep colors from mixing? I’ve purchased brushes but have yet to try to apply paint to anything. I haven’t yet viewed any videos that address surface prep, clear coats or layering yet. This did fill in some gaps.
love the videos, awesome job. that angle was really hard to watch from. every time you'd transfer to the left my brain screamed it was uneven because of the lower and right offset to the camera
Thanks for sharing this Jen. Dig the thought process. Puts the logic of the design into perspective🙏
Video on how to gold leaf tips and tricks!
Pinched nerves are no joke! I had disc replacement surgery 3 weeks ago because I couldn’t get rid of a pinched nerve. It turned out I had two discs that were almost completely collapsed! I’m still recovering from surgery.
So sorry to hear you had to deal with surgery and are still recovering I think thats one of my big fears! Wishing you a faster recovery !
@@HotRodJenPinstriping the surgery wasn’t that bad, actually, because I got instant relief. The doctor telling me not to lift more than 10 pounds, that’s what’s killing me. I want to be able to do stuff. A mere 2 months of being limited is totally worth not being in pain though. I love your art!
can you tell me what "tool" you use to clean up your art piece while pinstriping.
Yup yup its called a wipe out tool has a rubber end to it you can wrap a paper towel around with some mineral spirits or reducer. You can also use a cuticle pusher that has a hard rubber end to it. The wipe out tool can be found on Mack brushes website and also Xcaliberart site
Do you always use a mack brush?
I wonder the same thing. I think she prefers Mack king 13
I like you work.
It's hard to see on angle view
hahaha thanks!
