As of last week, Ignea signed with Napalm Records -- and I confirmed this with Helle Bogdanova on Discord. When I asked her why, what changed, she pretty much said that it was time to sign, as they had pretty much reached the ceiling of what they could do on their own. And, in my opinion, that is understandable. I just hope I get to see Ignea on tour with Unleash the Archers -- which would be a hell of a good time (no pun intended, lol)!
I've been on the IGNEA train for about a year now. Unbelievable Napalm has not signed them yet. Check out their song "Alexandria". Helle's transitions rival Tatiana's from Jinjer, and their guitarist is amazing.
I have it on good authority that neither Napalm nor Nuclear Blast will sign Ignea, due to the demands that each label made upon the band. Needless to say, the band decided that it was better to go their own way, until they can find a suitable label.

I would say the same thing about í Tokuni. The version Ignea does is a bit darker, which gives more credence to the idea of wondering around the darkness, in the mist.

They're a great band. Think about the fact that they have been at war continuously for many years--civil war, war with Russia, losing part of their country...that is why a lot of their songs have that sort of feeling. Great reaction!
Max Morton is Jinjer's producer. He discovered and paid for their first professional video that got them signed, "Sit, Stay, Rollover." He recently discovered Ignea and produced this record for them. Both bands Ukranian. I imagine upon discovering them he probably thought something like, "Wait. Two female clean-growlers? Could this be what the prophecy was pointing to?"
About the voice of Helle: once heard, you'll always recognize her voice. Rare. Like Stevie Nicks (btw: they both have in common this nasality. But it never harms.) Let me point out at another amazing musician: Eivoer Palsdottir from the Faroese islands. And her song i tokuni (in the mist). IGNEA have covered this song of her! I'll be watching Eivoer on oct, 2nd here in Hamburg. Watching her for my 3rd time. Nice rabbit hole! Try Trollabundin from her and also Falling free, live in Torshavn. You'll get an idea of how versatile her music is.
Coming back for another view and to thank you for throwing my sleep schedule out of balance. For me this is the song/video of the year. I can't stop watching it. Last year the same thing happened to me with AURORA and Spiritbox. I'm subbing to other reactors just so I can request this video. Helle has me under her spell. YIKES!!! P.S. Seytanu Akbar is your next step on the slippery slope of IGNEA.

Dimitri plays guitar and Ivan is the drummer. They are very creative and extremely nice to talk to. One of my favorite bands is southern rock/contemporary blues duo Larkin Poe (they're related to Edgar Allan Poe). They're signed to a dry cleaner in California. Yeah, not exactly a major label. But the "label" is simply investing financially, and has no control over their music.
You should really check out the album this is from - From start to finish, in order, my freaking word it's possibly the best Album of 2020 (sorry Nightwish!) Edit to add: MASHA IS QUEEN (director/animator/allroundawesome)
