There's people that can spend a whole afternoon outside subishing the noise and the bad wheather just to provide us with these videos. To them : THANK YOU !
Those poor souls in the back! At least in the flight deck you know what's going on and can see in front of you. Not back there! Just prayin' and clinchin' and I would wager that when the wheels touched down and at the point they all knew they were going to live , a HUGE cheer went up at once. I know, I have done it myself!
I don't think so. The maximum crosswind component for a CAT 3 autoland on the 747 is 25 knots. I think that limit is exceeded in this video. I'm talking about an autoland right now, or isn't that what you mean? The ILS system is always used when available, however the pilots in this video landed the aircraft manually (I guess), not automatically.
Timpaaa2 Yeah, a lot of people have that misconception that ILS equals a Cat3 autoland or that extremely bad weather conditions are solved by just 'autolanding', not knowing that it's indeed not permitted in extreme conditions. Glad you cleared that up, it's obvious this was a manual landing.
5:23 practically flapping its wings!
Superb video, congratulations!
Narita and Dusseldorf seem to have the most cross wind landings.
Great videos!!! Storm videos are amazing!!!
さすが、皆さんプロのパイロットですね。
この強風の中、難なく降りてきますね。
また飛行機離発着映像うpを楽しみに
しております!
Wonderful filming! My favorites were the China Airlines 747 and the ANA 777!
Pucker factor is REALLY HIGH on these landings!!!
このような荒天時に着陸を敢行するパイロット達の技量もさることながら、

Wow, it's gale force wind landings. Awesome! Thanks for sharing.

Great! Haven't talked to you in a long time, you've been ok? And whoa, are those some major crosswinds! :O

Jeez those 777s and 767s handle this weather like a boss.
Wow nice video. Subscribed
Wow that ANA 777 looked like a bird flapping it's wings just before landing! (~5:30)
Is it really that congested at Narita that planes are backed up for so long awaiting take off?
more, more, please!!
あんなデカい飛行機があんな小刻みに動けるんだ~
Is it me or do the boeings handle the wind allot easier??
what was the wind speed and knots? and which direction was the wind going?
COSM1C few years late to this but looks (using the wind sock) it’s about runway direction and be about 30 or more knots.
Alter wie der den runtergestzt bekommt, echt kein plan.
Danke aus Deutschland (Germany) fürs Hochland.
Thanks from Germany...
So much traffic!
I think they are using CAT III landing.
