    I genuinely feel the transfer carriage is one of the most undervalued accessories for brother knitting machines. I love mine and couldn’t go back to manual transfers.

    Nicely explained. All the steps are printed ON the carriage for a quick reminder. But seeing the steps in action gives that initial boost of confidence.

    Thank you very much for showing this to its full potential, I have only used it on 1x1 rib and I tend to transfer up the end stitches manually on both ends but now i know i can do it a different way without spoiling anything thank you

    Thanks a lot for yet another of your clear tutorials! I see you don't push up the ribber needles while doing the 1x1 rib like you do during the rest of the video. It makes me wonder if you could skip pushing up the needles for the second round of transfers for the 2x2, 2x1, and full needle rib transfer? 😊

      Yes you could probably skip that part, I do it just to be safe and sometimes I do it even with a 1x1 rib 😊

    I know this is perhaps a stupid question but I’m not sure what I’m looking for after the initial transfer. It appears that the stitches are still on the top of the, now closed, needle latches ie not in the latches, on the ribber when I try with a 2x1 rib. I don’t know whether pulling them down to A on ribber (Brother KA881/KR850) is just dropping them! I ensure that they start within the latch as per transfer instructions and your video (which are excellent by the way)

    • @Knitology1x1
      @Knitology1x1  Год назад +2

      Never a stupid question 🤗 sorry to reply so late..how did it all work , did you manage?
      When the carriage passes across it still partly leave the stitch on, if that is the part you are referring to, you should just be able to pull the needles down to complete the transfers and no stitches should be dropped 🤔 always good idea to test it first 🤗 good luck!!

    This is really cool but I don’t understand the greater purpose of using this machine, nice to see how it works but what is the outcome/ reason to do this? What’s it for? I have one and can’t figure what is the purpose of transferring to begin with lol

    • @Knitology1x1
      @Knitology1x1  6 месяцев назад

      thanks 😊 it is a tool to save you some time since transferring stitches from ribber bed to main bed is quite time consuming; that assuming that you want/need to transfer stitches from ribber bed after finishing your rib trim and you want to continue knitting on main bed only. It really depends on what you are knitting . hope this helps 😊
