YES & NO! Andy IS The Walking Dead in the sense the show revolves around his leadership... he’s supposed to be the level-headed leader in beyond desperate times to band everyone together and make the toughest of decisions for the survival of the group...but probably most of all it’s Lincoln’s acting skills that pretty much put this show on the map in the first place. You could argue Daryl, or the production values, but I really think this show became what it is due to Andy Lincoln. Yes, there are other characters to dive into more, but without the now iconic Lincoln, yes, the show has changed forever, and probably not for the best, depending how TWD ultimately ends. Yet, NO, this is not the death of the show, viewership wise, since as just mentioned there a whole facet of individuals to explore besides Daryl or Carol even. Of course, overall interest in the show clearly went down by S7, but losing Andy’s Rick Grimes just put an exclamation point on the reason why viewers lost interest. The Saviors arc is a whole other conversation about why TWD went downhill for the majority of fans’ opinions. But, YES, it was a devastating blow to have Lincoln decide to leave TWD...unless that was the plan the whole time, only for Lincoln to return later on for the movies and hopefully a good portion of the final Season 11. Bah, I’m not sure I made a good point, just wanted to say YES and NO. Sorry for run-on sentences too haha!!
He really should of never left. The whisper war was interesting, but without Rick and Carl is wasn’t nearly as good as it could of been! Henry and Lydia was just horrible, that really should of been Carl. And Rick not being around for all that just made it not the same show. Honestly I haven’t enjoyed any of season 11. They’re probably going to have a very small scene with him at the end or just a voice over. I would think they did something with him while he was in the states during the filming of the last episodes
This is kinda funny twd needs a sarcastic roasting character throwing fumny shots at every one its sad that the third tv show monument is basically 13 reasons why

@@gilbert9839 not in my opinion. Don't get me wrong there are some great British actors but the bad ones far out number the good. And British humor just is not funny. I watched a lot on PBS growing up and I never once even smiled. It's an American series it should have had American actors. Jmho
@@tinsoldier5621 Because most white Americans have no talent at acting and will over act so if you want good quality acting you need a European or a Canadian for a white lead. Of course Black and Hispanic Americans do have talent so the solution is more leading parts designed for POC.
Once Andy leaves the show...it's just over. I hope his career advances cause this show has shown him as a great leading man.

Show is still great
This didn't age well
@@CGCentralHD it aged pretty well, twd has low viewership and only last about a season and a half after Andrew left.
As someone who was an e x t r e m e. Fan of Twd from episode one... this aged well :(
