    If that shootout was accurate, it has to go down as the most incompetent act of apprehending two suspects in FBI history.

      No, it should go down in FBI history as the most incompetent exercise in apprehending to armed criminals.

  • @skygazer6898
    @skygazer6898 Месяц назад +3

    Such a ridiculous ending! Please tell me this was not real life and the ending was made up. Soul's character had around 50 bullets pumped into him and he still managed to stagger around and pick the so-called professionals off one by one. The far-fetched ending showed the FBI up as a bunch of idiots and I hope they are not like this in real life. The stupid ending spoilt an otherwise excellent film

    • @G.M4642
      @G.M4642 Месяц назад +2

      It is absolutely real. Google it. The recreation of the final shootout is quite faithful. There is a before and after for the FBI because of that day in 1986.

      @@G.M4642 I am surprised as they came across as amateurish when dealing with the vile killers. I did enjoy the film but not this ending. I shall go and read up on it now. thanks

    • @Jay-Leigh863
      @Jay-Leigh863 Месяц назад +1

      The ending is pretty faithful to the truth. Check out The FBI Files. There was one episode that dealt with this shootout. Apparently the 38 Spl rounds the FBI agents were using in their revolvers were not penetrating enough. Something like 5 shots were plumb in line for the heart but stopped short by about a cm. This is why he never went down. In fact, the agent who put those 5 rounds into his chest was killed by the same guy while he reloaded.

    • @G.M4642
      @G.M4642 Месяц назад +1

      @@Jay-Leigh863 Exactly, that's why the FBI requested a new caliber for its handguns, and a good candidate was the powerful "10mm auto", although it was later discarded due to the strong recoil produced by its shot.
