Or am I off? You have a much better chance of finding Stagg jr and that is $200 2nd hand. I think $400+ would be a good price for it as a special occasion bottle considering 2nd hand is over $1k.

I have almost every bottle on your list. Hard to really say anything on the prices as while they are hard to not even sold in my state they are also all at msrp even the store picks.
While everyone's taste is different if it is a bottle you really wanted or tatered over and you have the money go get it and to heck what other people say or think , it is your money.
The ridiculous secondary , museum stores and FOMO can make people do silly things.
This video is a great reminder not too.
I am one of those RR13 fans who passed on getting up to a case of batch 5 at $150 each as I like it a lot but , for me, it is not a $150 bottle. Grey Label Seagrass , Irishman 17 cask strength, Redbreast 15 ($115-$150 around my region) and so many more I rather have. I scored an Octomore for 140 recently.
Saw an EH Taylor BP for $300 and have never even heard of it coming to my state even when asking owners, distributer and being active on most social media groups in my state. Still passed but FOMO stinks 🤣. The only EHT we see are a few times a year we get flooded with small batch and SiB so you end up picking up a few or a case a year at $49 & $69 respectively. OWA are barrel picks only and normally never for sale to non corporate accounts. Have only seen them on a shelf once in last 5 years. We actually had a drop last month and got 2 small batch and 4 SiB. The EHT Rye I prefer Sagamore 8 year but I can find that and EHT Rye is impossible almost to get here.
Fortunately EC BP are always easy to get and stays on shelf for awhile so can get back ups easily. the MM wood series only become easy to get starting with the BRT-01.
OF Blues are finally on the shelves now in MA for last 8 months. I pass as not an OF fan. Rather hunt for a Stagg when they drop

@EverydayDrinker Old Rip is less about the oak and more about mouth feel and flavor concentration. Lot B is more about sweet oak. Back in the day, Old Rip was readily available. Lot B took a little bit of searching around, but you could get it,

I’m a newbie to the bourbon community and I just happened to bumped onto one of your videos yesterday and had to subscribe.
This morning this video popped up and it was very informative. Very useful for someone new to the community.
I’ve was lucky enough to find a Blanton’s for $67 in my area but I don’t think I can spend more than $100 for it. I will say the same for Eagle Rare, especially since it goes for $35. I did pay $70 for but that was before I knew what my local store sold Eagle Rare for.

Seems like i can't find anything really good under $200. Last year paid $200 for weller full store pick, was amazing. Good vid & subscribed..👍🏽🥃

Haha $225 for eh full proof? You will never find it for that. I want to live where you live and find these bottles at the prices you mentioned. In Wisconsin we are almost double what you said. Usually we are 3x-4x on normal high end, and super higher end 5x-7x msrp.

What?? MSRP.. never pay more for secondary prices.. you are just making the people that make profits from them incentive to raise the prices..

    • @EverydayDrinker
      @EverydayDrinker  Год назад

We all want prices to be MSRP but in todays world it is 99.99% impossible for that to happen and turn back around. Im not advocating for secondary prices, I’m not advocating for people to spend their money. All Im giving is my perception on if a bottle is worth a little bit more than what MSRP is. Cheers!

lol I wish I could say ive seen all these bourbons at these prices. I have though been very fortunate and bought most of these at MSRP. However I made this video to showcase what these bourbons are worth in my opinion. I don't think these bourbons are worth the secondary prices that they are going for and I don't want people to spend an absurd amount of money to just be disappointed. Cheers!

👌🏼🤔I appreciate you stressing, that it’s “your opinion” but honestly why do any of these channels feel they can tell someone what to pay ESPECIALLY, if you literally have a slew of allocated bottles😆 🙄you guys have to say what you’d pay HAVING NEVER HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE one of these bottles, not from a PRIVILEGED stand point. Furthermore EVERYONE has different taste buds, what your telling someone NOT TO PAY a certain dollar amount, I may feel taste TREMENDOUSLY superior to something you may like. I think the bourbon circle should just stop with ALL THE SPOILED WHINING and just enjoy bourbon and let people enjoy how they want to enjoy, because NONE OF CAN TAKE YOUR OPINIONS TO THE REGISTER‼️🤷🏼

Your van winkle/pappy max prices are laughable. Lot 12 year at max $200? people will be rushing out the door to pay $400 for it. pappy 15 for $300 is also a big joke. MSRP for $120 vs on a shelf at $300 will sell out equally as fast as possible.

    • @EverydayDrinker
