I just discovered this foundation after wearing only "department store" foundations my whole life. This rivals any high end foundation I've ever used! I LOVE it!

One day I’ll have to try this foundation. Everyone raves about it. This was the year of foundations for me. Now in my mid 50s, I wanted to find something that didn’t settle into fine lines. I now have No. 7, Estee Lauder double wear, Charlotte Tilbury, Armani Silk and Dior Foreverwear sitting on my vanity. It’s going to be a while before I buy anything else ..lol 🙄 😂
I can't wait to try this one! I tested the Plumping Tinted Serum from Loreal which I'm in love with, but sadly it keeps breaking me out 🥲 if that didn't happen I'd never switch to another foundation it was so skin-like. This True Match superblendable seems to be recommended for sensitive skin types like myself and based on the ingredients I'm hopeful. any drugstore foundation with SPF breaks me out, fragnance, denatured alcohol, so many things I react to and get covered with acne immediately 😭 so this will probably be the last time I'm giving a drugstore foundation a chance.
I loved loved loved the original True Match Blendable. I was devastated when they disco’d it and put out the reformulation. It didn’t work for me in the same way at all. My skin is dry too and the reformulation settled into my pores and stuck to ALL my dry patches, no matter how well I prepped my skin. To boot, it wore very poorly and and I couldn’t wait to get it off my face. I tried what felt like a gazillion foundations in an effort to find a replacement. Your videos were immensely helpful in pointing me in some good directions. I finally ended up with Estee Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue Moisturizing Makeup. It’s beautiful on my skin & wears exceptionally well. It’s much pricier than I’d like, but I’m just so glad to have found something that works well. I really almost gave up! I never tried the OG True Match but I recently purchased the reformulated one and I am so impressed with how it looks and wears on my mature skin. I’m glad you got back from your fabulous vacation. And I never rely on my foundation to give me a good spf. The consistency looks very similar when you share it on your hand which is helpful. To be honest I can’t tell the difference from the left to right side of your face. Breaking down the cost for each blush makes sense. Love all four shades. Plus I can see some of these used on your lips with a lip brush. Like a dual purpose blush and lip with a balm or just by itself. The cool tone pink is gorgeous on you. I just bought the new reformulated L’Oreal True Match foundation today. I got N2. I thought it would be to light but it is perfect. It literally disappears as if it was my skin but do much better. Wow. Perfect match. Perfect coverage. Dried down immediately. Not greasy at all but moist. I bought this just after I first watch this video this A. M. Thank you for the video. It is fantastic on my 76 year old skin. Not heavy at all

Thanks for the video! I went on the L’Oreal site for a color match and bought this foundation shade based on its match for me. I would have never thought to pick out that shade but it turns out it was perfect. I used Bare Minerals before that I liked but I think this is even better and inexpensive.

Welcome home Tamara! I have always used the L'Oreal true match shade C2. I bought the new formulation last week (same shade) and love it also. It's a keeper. Loved the Merit cream blush shades that you used that were the lightest. I think Stockholm was my favorite as I prefer lighter blushes because I am so fair. I have the same issues. Another great foundation to try that is fragrance and alcohol free is the new Revlon Illuminance foundation. It is more moisturizing than the Loreal if you have dry skin. I have combination dry and oily skin and love it, however it doesn't last in my t-zone as long as the Loreal true match foundation (which lasts a 12 hour day on me).

Thank you Linsdey! I did put some notes in the description box...it wore very well through out the day without any setting powder. And actuallly, I tend to use this foundation even more often in the summer months...mostly because it does wear a little better than some of my glowier foundations that I wear more often in the winter when my skin is drier and needs a little extra glow. And yes, between the 12 plus hour time difference AND the 30 hours of travel...it's taking me a while to readjust. But such a wonderful trip and SO worth it. But always nice to come home to my sweet boy Boz. ❤️

I didn't like the dropper either. I was able to use a pump top from my previous bottle of foundation and it works great. I used to do the 'double blush' way back in the late 70's early 80's when I was in college and a few years beyond. I'm not sure when I stopped doing it. Maybe I'll take it up again!

I just discovered this foundation last month, after my go to must have had a formula change. (The last couple containers I've purchased I found it would oxidize to an orange color and be cakey at the end of the day. It was awful) It's very difficult for me to find product I can use because of allergies and I was thrilled to find this product. I am so upset to learn that they have now changed their formula! It now has things I'm allergic to in it! ARRGH!
Why did they remove the SPF? Even though I wear sunscreen underneath, it's nice to have the extra protection. I live in So Cal and we get lots of sun here.

Hi Norma. I have used both foundations. The Lumi foundation contains alcohol denat. which is drying for the skin so I would say that the Super Blendable foundation would be a better option for your dry skin. The Lumi foundation is more luminous where the Super Blendable is more of a satin matte finish. It has been awhile since I have used the Lumi foundation, but I believe that the Super Blendable is more pigmented and therefore has more coverage. Hope this helps.
I had been using the og true match since high school and it’s unbeatable although I’ve wanted all the “popular” foundations to work. I hope they don’t discontinue the formula. My favorite of all time was the maybelline In that potion shaped bottle but it’s been discontinued for years

Yes, I have to thank Revitalash for my eyelashes...they were really getting skimpy then Revitalash literally saved them and now they are better than ever. It's a tad pricey buy I watch for sales and it always lasts much longer than the bottle says. On one of your recent videos you mentioned the old Maybelline Great Lash in the pink and green package...I used to LOVE that! I don’t need another foundation but I am going to get it out of pure curiosity! Looks so good. The shades and descriptions on the Ulta link got me excited to see 2.5 shades but…not in neutral for some reason. Bummer, N2 looks too light N3 a little too dark. But there are so many shades I am sure I can find one that will work. Will have to go to the store and check them out in person. Will be a fun day. Welcome back!
@@TamarasTimelessBeauty - reporting back with a big wow. I mean WOW! I bought N2 which is allllmost perfect. N3 was definitely too deep now, but as the season changes, it might work. If they made N2.5 I am sure it would be ideal. But the finish is amazing. One pump coverage is great. You are right, it practically blends itself and looks.like.skin. It blurs even my lip lines. I think because it dries down, almost like a powder, but leaves a satin glow. In fact you don’t need to powder it all. As mentioned I do not need another foundation but was curious and super happy I bought it. I seriously like it better than my NARS Light Reflecting foundation by far (my winter shade) and it is a fraction of the cost. (I still love my ABH though 😊). Although a powder isn’t necessary, I needed to deepen N2 a little so used a Smashbox contour pallet and a beige-ish shimmer “bronzing” powder by Nicole Miller. I know - who? I think of her brand as home décor at Home Goods. I found it at TJ Maxx which makes sense, expecting it to be crap, but I liked the shade for my skin tone and thought for $4.99 it was worth a try. It is amazing. No glitter or sparkles just a subtle Hourglass-like finish. My complexion looks the best I have seen yet this winter. I mean I didn’t have to work hard and achieved such a fresh looking result. Thanks for reviewing this foundation, Tamara!

Thank you Chrystal! Yikes 110 degrees! Where do you live?? I used the old formula last summer in the Midwest heat and humidity and it held up quite well. I think the new formula should hold up just as well. Although in that type of heat a setting spray might be a good idea.

I'm 62 and wore the glorious Estee Lauder Fresh Air Foundation for 40 years until they discontinued it back around 2015 - 2018. None of their other foundations worked for me b/c they're so heavy, and it took me forever to find a foundation to: 1. Match my skin tone - cool with pink undertones (I have a lot of redness); 2. Not be thick, heavy and pasty like IT Cosmetics foundation which makes me want to claw at my skin; 3. Not dry my post-menopausal skin out; and 4. Have an SPF. I finally found L'Oreal True Match Foundation in C2/Natural Ivory and loved it, that is, until they changed it! They removed the SPF. Why, just why do that when the ozone layer is disappearing??? I'm prone to skin cancers and desperately need an SPF on my face! I do not like the pump - it squirts out twice the amount that I need, and I end up wasting so much foundation. I've gone through 1/2 of a bottle of the new formula when I would have only used 1/4 of a bottle of the old formula in the same amount of time. Why do cosmetic companies change formulas that I love and/or discontinue products that I fall in love with? I guess this is just part of getting older. We become unimportant and obsolete, like our vote or our buying power doesn't count. Hate it!
Hello! I wanted to explain why a foundation with SPF might not offer the sun protection you need. The SPF in foundation usually isn’t sufficient because it’s unlikely that we apply the recommended two fingers’ worth of sunscreen when using foundation. Also, foundations with SPF can often cause flashback in photos, making your face look much lighter than the rest of your body in flash photography, which is not ideal. If sun protection is a concern, it’s better to apply a dedicated sunscreen before your makeup and let it absorb properly for effective protection. Then, you can use your regular foundation without SPF, and it won’t interfere with your sun protection efforts. Hope this helps!
$60 for 4 cream blushes so about $15 each....I actually haven't heard of any drugstore dupes for the Merit, but there are some decent cream blushes at the drugstore. I enjoyed the Milani Cheek Kiss Cream Blushes, though the formula is are a bit more opaque than the merit. Milani also makes a cream blush called Super charged Lip and Cheek Multi Stick that looks like it might be similar, but I haven't personally tried it. Hope this helps!
I just bought the NARS radiant finish foundation aaaand… the L’Oréal one is BETTER!! The NARS colour is somehow a bit “off” on me even though I matched it to my neck and face. I like the texture of the L’Oréal one better too. I spent so much money and didn’t have to…

Usually just use a blend of Wet & Wild concealer & Elf halo glow. On your recommendation I tried the True Match…Success!! L'Oreal makes three different foundations with the words True Match in it, making it a tad confusing to say the least. The True Match Super Blendable is the one in this video. They also make a True Match Lumi Foundation and a True Match Nude HA Serum Foundation which I think is the one you are talking about. Hi Sue! True Match is a medium coverage so might not totally cover up significant redness...one suggestion might be to try a green color corrector to neutralize the red. That way you may not need a full coverage foundation and a medium coverage might be enough? I know Elf recently came out with some color correctors you might want to check out. Hope this helps!
I have several Mineral SPFs that I love and rotate through. DRMTLGY, ELTA MD, ColorScience, Tula, Cotz...But I think in this video I was wearing Josie Maran Broad Spectrum SPF 47. I first tried it last spring and really didn't like it...at the time it felt greasy and heavy. But I pulled it out a couple of months ago and my SUPER dry winter skin has been loving it. I use the Volume Shampoo and Hydrating conditioner, and I LOVE the Volumizing Spray leave in conditioner. Still using Big Sexy Hair Root pump which gives lift to my root. I do use a purple shampoo every 4th wash or so...for a long time I loved the one from Redkin, but purchased the ALTEREGO Silver Maintain Shampoo...I don't love it...tends to dry my hair out...but I am using it up by mixing it in with my Haielle shampoo so it isn't as harsh. WEAR TIME NOTES:
The foundation wore beautifully all day, just like the original. I'm SO relieved that the foundation is as good as ever. The blush also wore quite well...a tad faded, but still beautifully present. But like I said, cosmetics tend to wear quite well on my skin in general, I think because my skin doesn't produce much natural oil?

True Match has been a go to for me for years. I'm glad it's just as good after the reformulation.
One day I’ll have to try this foundation. Everyone raves about it. This was the year of foundations for me. Now in my mid 50s, I wanted to find something that didn’t settle into fine lines. I now have No. 7, Estee Lauder double wear, Charlotte Tilbury, Armani Silk and Dior Foreverwear sitting on my vanity. It’s going to be a while before I buy anything else ..lol 🙄 😂

I can't wait to try this one! I tested the Plumping Tinted Serum from Loreal which I'm in love with, but sadly it keeps breaking me out 🥲 if that didn't happen I'd never switch to another foundation it was so skin-like. This True Match superblendable seems to be recommended for sensitive skin types like myself and based on the ingredients I'm hopeful. any drugstore foundation with SPF breaks me out, fragnance, denatured alcohol, so many things I react to and get covered with acne immediately 😭 so this will probably be the last time I'm giving a drugstore foundation a chance.
I loved loved loved the original True Match Blendable. I was devastated when they disco’d it and put out the reformulation. It didn’t work for me in the same way at all. My skin is dry too and the reformulation settled into my pores and stuck to ALL my dry patches, no matter how well I prepped my skin. To boot, it wore very poorly and and I couldn’t wait to get it off my face. I tried what felt like a gazillion foundations in an effort to find a replacement. Your videos were immensely helpful in pointing me in some good directions. I finally ended up with Estee Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue Moisturizing Makeup. It’s beautiful on my skin & wears exceptionally well. It’s much pricier than I’d like, but I’m just so glad to have found something that works well. I really almost gave up! Thank you for all your tips and suggestions Tamara! ❤

I’m glad you got back from your fabulous vacation. And I never rely on my foundation to give me a good spf. The consistency looks very similar when you share it on your hand which is helpful. To be honest I can’t tell the difference from the left to right side of your face. Breaking down the cost for each blush makes sense. Love all four shades. Plus I can see some of these used on your lips with a lip brush. Like a dual purpose blush and lip with a balm or just by itself. The cool tone pink is gorgeous on you. I just bought the new reformulated L’Oreal True Match foundation today. I got N2. I thought it would be to light but it is perfect. It literally disappears as if it was my skin but do much better. Wow. Perfect match. Perfect coverage. Dried down immediately. Not greasy at all but moist. I bought this just after I first watch this video this A. M. Thank you for the video. Thanks for the video! I went on the L’Oreal site for a color match and bought this foundation shade based on its match for me. I would have never thought to pick out that shade but it turns out it was perfect. I used Bare Minerals before that I liked but I think this is even better and inexpensive.

Welcome home Tamara! I have always used the L'Oreal true match shade C2. I bought the new formulation last week (same shade) and love it also. It's a keeper. Loved the Merit cream blush shades that you used that were the lightest. I think Stockholm was my favorite as I prefer lighter blushes because I am so fair. So glad to have you back and happy you enjoyed your trip to India with your daughter!

Welcome back! So glad that you had such an amazing adventure. I tried the reformulated foundation and liked it but found that it wasn’t particularly long-lasting. Would love to hear how it wore throughout the day.
It wore quite well on my skin....but generally foundations last well on me. I think because my skin produces so little natural oil?
I have combination skin with an oily t-zone and this lasts all day on me without powder. Sorry that you didn't have the same experience.
So beautiful, I have a fragrance allergy & hardly wear foundation because of this, but now I know what I need to avoid, so happy I can wear true match
I have the same issues. Another great foundation to try that is fragrance and alcohol free is the new Revlon Illuminance foundation. It is more moisturizing than the Loreal if you have dry skin. I have combination dry and oily skin and love it, however it doesn't last in my t-zone as long as the Loreal true match foundation (which lasts a 12 hour day on me).

Thank you Linsdey! I did put some notes in the description box...it wore very well through out the day without any setting powder. And actuallly, I tend to use this foundation even more often in the summer months...mostly because it does wear a little better than some of my glowier foundations that I wear more often in the winter when my skin is drier and needs a little extra glow. And yes, between the 12 plus hour time difference AND the 30 hours of travel...it's taking me a while to readjust. But such a wonderful trip and SO worth it. But always nice to come home to my sweet boy Boz. ❤️

I didn't like the dropper either. I was able to use a pump top from my previous bottle of foundation and it works great. I used to do the 'double blush' way back in the late 70's early 80's when I was in college and a few years beyond. I'm not sure when I stopped doing it. Maybe I'll take it up again!

I just discovered this foundation last month, after my go to must have had a formula change. (The last couple containers I've purchased I found it would oxidize to an orange color and be cakey at the end of the day. It was awful) It's very difficult for me to find product I can use because of allergies and I was thrilled to find this product. I am so upset to learn that they have now changed their formula! It now has things I'm allergic to in it! ARRGH!
Why did they remove the SPF? Even though I wear sunscreen underneath, it's nice to have the extra protection. I live in So Cal and we get lots of sun here.

Tamara I love my L'oreal True Match Lumi Foundation. I wonder if the True Match Super Blendable that you love is similar?. I have dry skin too and was curious what the difference is between these 2!

Hi Norma. I have used both foundations. The Lumi foundation contains alcohol denat. which is drying for the skin so I would say that the Super Blendable foundation would be a better option for your dry skin. The Lumi foundation is more luminous where the Super Blendable is more of a satin matte finish. It has been awhile since I have used the Lumi foundation, but I believe that the Super Blendable is more pigmented and therefore has more coverage. Hope this helps.

I had been using the og true match since high school and it’s unbeatable although I’ve wanted all the “popular” foundations to work. I hope they don’t discontinue the formula. My favorite of all time was the maybelline In that potion shaped bottle but it’s been discontinued for years

Thank you! It’s actually two plants right next to each other. They love the natural light in my house. The thrive with very little care…I do use miracle grow every few months and trimming the leggy growth keeps them bushy.

Yes, I have to thank Revitalash for my eyelashes...they were really getting skimpy then Revitalash literally saved them and now they are better than ever. It's a tad pricey buy I watch for sales and it always lasts much longer than the bottle says. On one of your recent videos you mentioned the old Maybelline Great Lash in the pink and green package...I used to LOVE that! I don’t need another foundation but I am going to get it out of pure curiosity! Looks so good. The shades and descriptions on the Ulta link got me excited to see 2.5 shades but…not in neutral for some reason. Bummer, N2 looks too light N3 a little too dark. But there are so many shades I am sure I can find one that will work. Will have to go to the store and check them out in person. Will be a fun day. Welcome back!

@@TamarasTimelessBeauty - reporting back with a big wow. I mean WOW! I bought N2 which is allllmost perfect. N3 was definitely too deep now, but as the season changes, it might work. If they made N2.5 I am sure it would be ideal. But the finish is amazing. One pump coverage is great. You are right, it practically blends itself and looks.like.skin. It blurs even my lip lines. I think because it dries down, almost like a powder, but leaves a satin glow. In fact you don’t need to powder it all. As mentioned I do not need another foundation but was curious and super happy I bought it. I seriously like it better than my NARS Light Reflecting foundation by far (my winter shade) and it is a fraction of the cost. (I still love my ABH though 😊). Although a powder isn’t necessary, I needed to deepen N2 a little so used a Smashbox contour pallet and a beige-ish shimmer “bronzing” powder by Nicole Miller. I know - who? I think of her brand as home décor at Home Goods. I found it at TJ Maxx which makes sense, expecting it to be crap, but I liked the shade for my skin tone and thought for $4.99 it was worth a try. It is amazing. No glitter or sparkles just a subtle Hourglass-like finish. My complexion looks the best I have seen yet this winter. I mean I didn’t have to work hard and achieved such a fresh looking result. Thanks for reviewing this foundation, Tamara!

Thank you Chrystal! Yikes 110 degrees! Where do you live?? I used the old formula last summer in the Midwest heat and humidity and it held up quite well. I think the new formula should hold up just as well. Although in that type of heat a setting spray might be a good idea.

I'm 62 and wore the glorious Estee Lauder Fresh Air Foundation for 40 years until they discontinued it back around 2015 - 2018. None of their other foundations worked for me b/c they're so heavy, and it took me forever to find a foundation to: 1. Match my skin tone - cool with pink undertones (I have a lot of redness); 2. Not be thick, heavy and pasty like IT Cosmetics foundation which makes me want to claw at my skin; 3. Not dry my post-menopausal skin out; and 4. Have an SPF. I finally found L'Oreal True Match Foundation in C2/Natural Ivory and loved it, that is, until they changed it! They removed the SPF. Why, just why do that when the ozone layer is disappearing??? I'm prone to skin cancers and desperately need an SPF on my face! I do not like the pump - it squirts out twice the amount that I need, and I end up wasting so much foundation. I've gone through 1/2 of a bottle of the new formula when I would have only used 1/4 of a bottle of the old formula in the same amount of time. Why do cosmetic companies change formulas that I love and/or discontinue products that I fall in love with? I guess this is just part of getting older. We become unimportant and obsolete, like our vote or our buying power doesn't count. Hate it!
Hello! I wanted to explain why a foundation with SPF might not offer the sun protection you need. The SPF in foundation usually isn’t sufficient because it’s unlikely that we apply the recommended two fingers’ worth of sunscreen when using foundation. Also, foundations with SPF can often cause flashback in photos, making your face look much lighter than the rest of your body in flash photography, which is not ideal. If sun protection is a concern, it’s better to apply a dedicated sunscreen before your makeup and let it absorb properly for effective protection. Then, you can use your regular foundation without SPF, and it won’t interfere with your sun protection efforts. Hope this helps!
but 60 bucks for 3 of the blushes...too expensive! Anything comparable?
$60 for 4 cream blushes so about $15 each....I actually haven't heard of any drugstore dupes for the Merit, but there are some decent cream blushes at the drugstore. I enjoyed the Milani Cheek Kiss Cream Blushes, though the formula is are a bit more opaque than the merit. Milani also makes a cream blush called Super charged Lip and Cheek Multi Stick that looks like it might be similar, but I haven't personally tried it. Hope this helps!

The NARS colour is somehow a bit “off” on me even though I matched it to my neck and face.
I like the texture of the L’Oréal one better too.

Usually just use a blend of Wet & Wild concealer & Elf halo glow. On your recommendation I tried the True Match…Success!! L'Oreal makes three different foundations with the words True Match in it, making it a tad confusing to say the least. The True Match Super Blendable is the one in this video. They also make a True Match Lumi Foundation and a True Match Nude HA Serum Foundation which I think is the one you are talking about. Will true match give enough coverage for someone with rosacia?What color of blush would you recommend for a older woman that looks dull but has redness in cheeks from rosacia?Thanks for any advice.
Hi Sue! True Match is a medium coverage so might not totally cover up significant redness...one suggestion might be to try a green color corrector to neutralize the red. That way you may not need a full coverage foundation and a medium coverage might be enough? I know Elf recently came out with some color correctors you might want to check out. Hope this helps!

I have several Mineral SPFs that I love and rotate through. DRMTLGY, ELTA MD, ColorScience, Tula, Cotz...But I think in this video I was wearing Josie Maran Broad Spectrum SPF 47. I first tried it last spring and really didn't like it...at the time it felt greasy and heavy. But I pulled it out a couple of months ago and my SUPER dry winter skin has been loving it. My hair care is pretty simple...I LOVE the Haielle Hair Care Line that's listed in the description box. I use the Volume Shampoo and Hydrating conditioner, and I LOVE the Volumizing Spray leave in conditioner. Still using Big Sexy Hair Root pump which gives lift to my root. I do use a purple shampoo every 4th wash or so...for a long time I loved the one from Redkin, but purchased the ALTEREGO Silver Maintain Shampoo...I don't love it...tends to dry my hair out...but I am using it up by mixing it in with my Haielle shampoo so it isn't as harsh. Thank you for responding. I am not familiar with the lines you reference. I will check them out. I use OLAPLEX No.4P shampoo & No.5 conditioner. I notice a huge difference in their quality compared to other brands. I also use AG Sterling Silver shampoo & conditioner and Pureology’s hydrating shampoo & conditioner. I am very interested in trying Oribe Silverati( shampoo is always sold out).
