DIY Room Decor Ideas with Jute | Chalk Paint Home Decor

- In this week's tutorial, I will show you how to make jute string floral arrangements (flower plant leaves) to complement the chalk painted vases we created in this tutorial and previous tutorials! These easy macrame and DIY jute crafts is made from inexpensive jute rope/thread and macrame rope that you can get at the dollar store. These DIY home decor ideas are a simple way to add texture to a room to add floral arrangement that does not need watering!! Also, I would show you how to create a textured glass vase with chalk paint! The combination of these easy DIY projects will add a classy touch to your home!

I am doing a craft from one of your other videos when you put a mold on a square glass and textured white then I think you did dark wash or dark wax I will look again at video but I really want you to see it when I am done I will ask my mom if I can send you a picture on Instagram if you don’t care if I do or not it doesn’t look as good as yours but so far it is looking nice I was wondering maybe you have a old frame or something and you can stamp them and then do the antique look with vinegar and water and spray mirror paint have a good day ms christene

I love when crafts come back around. We made the brown paper grocery bag folded palm leaves in my 7th grade art class. We used the same technique! The stems were rolled brown paper though. This was way back in the 60's!! Thank you for bring this back into style. :-)

I live in odisha in India, we get all these leaves and grass in abundance but creating the same from other material is creativity at its best, thanks for the tips too. Awesome work.
I swear to my goodness. The tropical leaves and palm fronds were absolutely amazing! I'd never seen that type of crafting before that could result in larger type elegant creations. And, the chalk painted vases ended up looking like vases from the better interior design shops. Vases like those could resell bringing a pretty penny! No one would know their true origin! I can also imagine large vases done in variegated pastel colored chalk paints creatively blotted in abstract patterns, perhaps with 1 or 2 of the colors being more dominate. ...Very nice video tutorial. Thanks for sharing!

Loved this tutorial. i sat down and made all three. The Jute was a bit hard so I had to unravel it a bit before combing but turned out great in the end. What a great idea for a gift. Thank you for sharing.

I Absolutely Loved this video. These are Indeed High end looking crafts. My daughter decorates with a minimalist style and I have been trying to figure out what to make for her for Christmas this year. She’s using garden or floral wire bout 2 1/2 ft-Depending on how you want it to be-like how broad; then just eye-ball it , you don’t need exact dimension as what she’s using that’s why it’s handmade arts & crafts😜
With a ‘how-to’ intent, why not show the teardrop form material & the wrapping?
Use a circle wire wreath from the dollar store and bend it into shape!

I watch a lot of DIY and craft videos and I'm often a bit unimpressed with the finished work. The creators can be a bit careless or just so cheap that the end product doesn't often turn out well, even with their fancy camera shots. Thanks for sharing, I'm really liking the first leaf...I only had short pieces of dowel, so I opted to use three lengths of 14 gauge copper wire, which I then wrapped with jute rope. The leaf will be slightly flexible, though so I'm not sure if I'll pull this off. Im going to put some bends in the leaf to give it more dimension so it will look more realistic .
