Our family left Saigon in 1976 right after the Unification of Vietnam. I was 8 at the time and haven't been back since then. I have loss my ability to speak Vietnamese other than the most basic of the language. I do plan on visiting my birth country with my wife after I retire. Sadly, the trip will be without my parents, both has passed on since the late 00's. May they rest in peace. Thank you for showing me what I have missed all these time from your videos.
Yea, when I retire in Vietnam, I plan to use Grab / public transport [whatever available] a lot so I don't have to deal with traffic and parking. By the time I retire, the metro's should be up and running. Looking forward to them. My mother-in-law loves the chicken feet. She always order that every time we go to Dim Sum.
