ShaktipatSeer2 - I wanted to share something with you. The first time I heard this version with the crying woman, I was disappointed, even annoyed. But now with practice, it has opened up a space of greater compassion within me by helping me to be more loving to that woman, to my own sorrow, and that of all beings...to be in that place of emotional full-heartedness that most of us experience at the end of one of Rinpoche's retreats. So now I am using this to assist me in sitting in the fire of deep compassion and presence with the difficult emotions. Thank you. Blessings to you. :)

Those could be tears of devotion just as much as they could be due to sadness. Actually, sometimes sorrow gives rise to devotion very powerfully, in my experience. Best to rejoice in such tears in the aspiration they become our own.

I definitely hear laughter. We've all had occasions where during times of great ceremony and seriousness, when we're not supposed to laugh, we can't help ourselves. The more we suppress it the funnier it becomes. I doubt Vajrakilaya was offended.

    • @fourgates4591

Garchen Rinpoche was making faces at the end of the puja, thus laughter was appropriate. joy is never harmful.

    • @shortsdeliveries
      @shortsdeliveries 7 лет назад +3

laughter is one of the signs that confirms Vajrakylaya, and it is not a common laughter, it is an eruption of laugh when it starts its very hard to stop, its an explosion of laughter because Vajrakylaya is laughing and it laughts with its wrathful force. So its a good sign, if i remember correctly there are 9 signs. Even after midnight during the mantra line with only 3-4 very tired people Vajrakyalaya`s laughter may erupt and its impossible to stop

Honestly the crying was a little bit over the top.. if you were really moved to tears there's no reason to make a display of it... but of course everyone is just human.. it's good that there was some level of resolution of something she was dealing with that it actually moved her to tears but lol it did kinda mess up the audio

To me it sounded a little played up.. Which is one of the most obnoxious things that you can possibly do.. Besides disturbing others you're disrupting the whole ceremony by wanting others to focus on yourself instead of the deity.. Anyway.. That's just my opinion.. Good on her for being there in the first place :p.. Just wish people would take sincerity and humility a little more seriously..

    • @pahvalrehljkov4239
      @pahvalrehljkov4239 10 лет назад +5

that's because energies of this mantra are powerful, and circulating trough our energy system it opens blockades and clears them, in wich you may, if blockade is strong, start crying, or you may get angry or get in any other state...

    • @fourgates4591
      @fourgates4591 10 лет назад +3

Yes, sometimes people attend who have chronic illnesses, are going through crisis and such. I remember one lady at the Drubchen had a serious health condition, thus may have been crying to express herself. The energy is powerful, cleansing and enriching, thus releasing emotions sometimes happens.

Thank you😊 what does "benza" mean? I want to point out that having practised this mantra with this melody for 2 hours in the last 24 h, as a variation to the one with "vajra" instead of "benza" i had been doing, a major obstacle was lifted for me today. Not saying none had been with the previous version, but....So how does the word "benza" compare to the word "vajra"? Is it strictly equivalent or does it have different properties? Or maybe it's the melody. In any case i like this version better.😊

    • @ShaktipatSeer2

Literally just how Himalayan Buddhists pronounce Vajra.. They don't have a "J" sound in their languages so it becomes a "Dz" sound

      Hi Shipra.
Then you have a very good and very pure connection with this practice.
I will repeat here what I have said as responses to two other such questions asked concerning this video.
This post is a comprehensive and powerful teaching on Vajrakilaya and Buddhist tantra because it gives the key book references.
      (1)
      sonam tobgay1 month ago
      meaning of mantra?
      answer:
Homage to Guru Padmasambhava and the Great Protector Vajrakilaya.
The essential meaning is to use the weapon of skillful means to bind, stab, cut thru and destroy the Three Poisons of Ignorance, Grasping, and Aggression.
This is primarily for removing internal obstacles and environmental disharmony.
It is also good for defensive magic and combat magic.
Vajrakilaya is a primary protector ( dharmapala ) and a primary wisdom deity yoga.
Vajrakilaya is also an ultimate wrathful expression of Vajrasattva and subsumes a number of major wrathful deities, such as Yamantaka, Hayagriva and so forth.
      KILI means "to stab".
SARVA VIGHNAN means "all obstructors and harmful bad guys".
The main book references on Vajrakilaya are by Dr. Martin Boord.See
A Bolt of Lightning From the Blue Hardcover - 2010
by Dr. Martin J Boord (Author)
Included in this book are two short tantras of Vajrakila and a full translation of the most important commentary ever written on the subject of kila rites and their understanding for enlightenment. Composed by Padmasambhava, Vimalamitra, and Silamanju, all evidence points to the fact that these remarkable texts marks the very origin of the tantric cult of the wrathful deity Vajrakila.
This is a smaller simpler book on the subject:
The Practice of Vajrakilaya Paperback - January 1, 1990
      by Khenpo Namdrol (Author)
I am a tantric Buddhist spiritual doctor. With over fifty high empowerments of Vajrakilaya, an ultimate wrathful Vajrasattva.
For me the Vajrakilaya practice and the Martin Boord books are indispensable.
So is the book "Dakini Teachings", by Padmasambhava.
      (2)
      KOTAROINUGAMIsama3 months ago
Does releasing this mantra and other mantras like it break vajra samaya.... I was taught that such things should be kept secret and taught those who r ready. As a tantric practitioner your self who has come under the guidance of a vajra master should u really be doing such things even if your motivation is compassion.
      answer:
Homage to Guru Padmasambhava and the Great Protector Vajrakilaya.
I am a tantric Buddhist spiritual doctor. With over fifty high empowerments of Vajrakilaya, an ultimate wrathful Vajrasattva.
I cannot break secrecy of any tantric materials without incurring a severe karmic repercussion. The books and practice materials for Vajrakilaya are fully exposed to the public.
Historically, in Tibet very few saw these materials.
These materials cannot be used except by someone who has the empowerment and who abides in tantric commitments.
Many of the key texts in my large stack of Vajrakilaya teachings were bought on the open market.
This video may be of real help in terms of showing people a real tantric Buddhist practice, a group chant of a major protector deity.
According to HE Garchen Rinpoche, it is a real blessing to listen to authentic Buddhist mantra practice, whether or not one is Buddhist.
Generally it is best to complete one hundred thousand long recitations of Vajrasattva Hundred Syllable mantra before taking up Vajrakilaya practice. That is classical.
Also, it makes sense to do some Padmasambhava practice e.g. the Seven Line Prayer before any Vajrakilaya practice. This connects with the lineage of Vajrakilaya, and is very important.
Vajrakilaya subsumes a whole stack of protector practices. It is central to the Nyingma lineage approach and much applied in the Sakya and Kagyu Tibetan schools, but not significant in the Gelugpa school.
Vajrakilaya is one the most broadly practiced protectors. The most broadly practiced of all is Vajrapani, a closely related practice which is also a wrathful Vajrasattva, one that is significant in many Mahayana traditions across traditional Buddhist Asia.
Any high Vajrasattva empowerment includes a high Vajrapani empowerment. I strongly recommend Vajrapani practice to all tantric Buddhists.I did a million Vajrapani and a million Vajrakilaya, and lots of Vajrasattva.
As for the teaching on commitments and samaya, here is the book to get:
      Dakini Teachings, by Padmasambhava
This is my core reference manual for Mahayana and tantric study, practice, and teaching.
Anyone who wants to study with me has to get this book first and learn the material over time.
For many people it will be far from easy to read, but one can grow into it over time. This book is worth a whole bookshelf of other Great Way / Mahayana Buddhist books.
      You have been helped.
Get this book and share it with others. Doing so strengthens the Mahayana in the West.

      Glad to help.
      This is a wonderful practice.
      A most important protector.
      Shortest mantra is
      OM VAJRA KILI KILAYA
Every Vajrakilaya mantra needs some high level empowerment.
Bardo Hundred Deities empowerment includes Vajrakilaya.
      Eightfold Padmasambhava includes Vajrakilaya.
Sometimes Namkhai Norbu gives an online World Wide Transmission for both Vajrasattva and Vajrakilaya, but no guarantees.
Look him up at the Dzogchen Community website.
      His book
Crystal And The Way Of Light
      is accessible, useful, and inspiring.
The basic practice book for Namkhai Norbu, the Tun Book, gives a wrathful Guru Padmasambhava that is a Dagger Deity like Vajrakilaya.
      Padmasambhava As Dagger Deity.
      Extremely valuable.
He gives the Tun Book authorizations several times a year online.
Email his people to learn more.
      Highly recommended!
The ultimate meaning of Vajrakilaya is pure indestructible awareness, the Great Perfection, Dzogchen.

***** One of the things that I will say about wrathful #deities is that one should find a teacher that is experienced in learning about the #wrathful #nature of #human #existence (that is a teacher that is initiated in terms of understanding that anger is another reflection of human desire and that they are experienced in directing desire and motivation to a higher means) and then once you understand what they speak about and experience the nature of human nature, then one can practice the teaching (which by that time, one does not need the practice nor the teacher anymore because you become the practice).

+OneSpotToContemplate My teacher, HE Garchen Rinpoche leads the Vajrakilaya Drubchen every fall; at the empowerment he always says you do not need empowerment for this practice, if you have faith in the Dharma and bodhichitta motivation. You can find a copy of the Vajrakilaya sadhana through his website, or through many of the Drinkung centers in America.

Exactly. Like saying a jet airplane is the only way to cross the ocean -- it might be fast, but it's not the "only"...

Do you even know what my statement means and why I said "only way"? Yes there is only one way to do certain things.

Does releasing this mantra and other mantras like it break vajra samaya.... I was taught that such things should be kept secret and taught those who r ready. As a tantric practitioner your self who has come under the guidance of a vajra master should u really be doing such things even if your motivation is compassion.

This video may be of real help in terms of showing people a real tantric Buddhist practice, a group chant of a major protector deity,
According to HE Garchen Rinpoche, it is a real blessing to listen to authentic Buddhist mantra practice, whether or not one is Buddhist.
I strongly recommend Vajrapani practice to all tantric Buddhists.
I did a million Vajrapani and a million Vajrakilaya, and lots of Vajrasattva.

Im a tantric student, all persons knows you can do nothing if the master dont teach you directly. Mantras is a good away to clean our ilusions, desires.... Lots of tantric teachings the masters just teach in monasterys. " study buddhism is study yourself, and study yourself is Forget yourself" . in the book of the death if you dont have a real teacher we can do anything. i read the book and never see these teachings here in europe. just in monasteries. The real teachings of tantrayana you cant learn in retreat. the practice of tummo you can put in youtube, but what my teacher does is diferent. and i can tell he have a powerfull energy. because he study since very very young to be so wise. greatings.

    meaning of mantra?

    • @wcangel
      @wcangel 7 лет назад +5

It is also good for defensive magic and combat magic.Vajrakilaya is a primary protector ( dharmapala ) and a primary wisdom deity yoga.
Martin Boord.
      See
A Bolt of Lightning From the Blue Hardcover - 2010
by Dr. Martin J Boord (Author) Included in this book are two short tantras of Vajrakila and a full translation of the most important commentary ever written on the subject of kila rites and their understanding for enlightenment.
So is the book "Dakini Teachings", by Padmasambhava.

it's nice to share, but these things won't work even with an empowerment if the whole practice isn't well understood. I think that in this format, without an accomplished teacher present, the less you say the better.

Kila means like "ritual dagger" .. that's why I used the text .. the visuals are evocative of the type of visualization that one does with a vajrakilaya sadhana .. if you would like more info I would advise you to seek out a good lama and join the kula of vajrayana dharma practitioners ..
