We're cruising on the maiden voyage of the brand new ship from Carnival Cruise Line... Mardi Gras, sailing out of Port Canaveral, Florida! We sailed from July 31 to August 14, 2021 on back-to-back cruises with stops in San Juan, Amber Cove, Nassau, Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Mahogany Bay. This sailing was 95% vaccinated (see our separate protocols video for more information on that) with basically no mask requirements indoors our outdoors, no social distancing, and self-serve buffets. I see a video from you guys and it's a complete escape for me. I haven't even watched, but I hit the like button, cuz I know it's ParoDeejay I know what I'm getting. I miss cruising so much. I know when I watch I get the Good morning, hello, lunch stops, and evening entertainment hopping. It helps me get a feel for the ship, food, the whole enchilada. By the way, loving not just seeing the food pics at dinner of what you guys ate, but watching while your take your bite and experience of food tasting. I come for the chemistry, how you guys finish each other sentences, I stay for the smiles, Dee's Dancing, and once in a while a little dancing from Jay:)

An exquisite and amazing feat of ship engineering to provide a walkway of beautiful views while serving as the backdrop for game shows, theatrical production, port presentations etc. I might rethink and consider Carnival, previous experience was the Triumph 😭. 2 to 2.5 hours! Oh my. I really wanted to eat there next week. But not that long for that restaurant,! I will have to reconsider our plans.
We're giving it another shot for dinner next week, just to see if things have gotten better. We also plan to give it a go for lunch because it doesn't look as busy then... but of course, lunch isn't the same menu!!

It’s nice to see a restaurant that you can sit down and have a leisurely breakfast that is somewhat quiet. This ship seems very loud EVERYWHERE! Maybe it’s because it’s an inaugural sailing and everyone is so excited to be back!

So do you hear the theatre noise in the havana cabins?
I have been on the Mardi Gras Havana area. I found it to be lacking. Those rooms up front can’t see the ocean unless they stand up, & they have to deal with high winds. And yet, they cost more. This Havana area does not have any hot tubs. Only has one cold pool. No one was ever in the pool because adults don’t care for cold pools.
I wonder how you would make sure to book a cabana with the layout chairs … any info ?

If you did manage to plug into HDMI port , look for the function switch on TV to change Input mode as most ship remote don’t have that function, they really don’t want you fiddling with the TV 🤣🤣😳😳
