We're cruising aboard the first Carnival sailing out of Miami, Florida in 2021... the Carnival Horizon! We sailed from July 4-18, 2021 on back-to-back cruises with stops in Amber Cove, Half Moon Cay, Aruba, Curacao, and La Romana. This sailing was 95% vaccinated (see our separate protocols video for more information on that) with basically no mask requirements indoors our outdoors, no social distancing, and self-serve buffets. Dee is right, there is a sunclub section to this resort. You just walk to the right of the lobby where the chess game is. It has another pool and beach area. The food at this resort is awesome. We stayed in the building just behind the japanese restaurant. The love and marriage show was funny. Loving this series :)

Curacao looks amazing!
Dee is truly a snorkel Queen. The two times I tried snorkeling when fish got as big as my frying pan I was out of that water. I believe Dee would talk to shark if she saw one. Jay I'd like to spend a day with you joking around about stuff.

Would Dee consider doing a Snorkeling Hot Spots type video? It would be great to hear the best places to snorkel, difficulty level of the areas, what types of fish you generally see, cost, etc., all in one video. I'm officially calling that drink Snacks on the Beach now, thank you! lol

Thank you for sharing. We use to have 100 gallon salt water tropical tank, and those fish are worth LOTS of money. They were beautiful. Best snorkeling.

Next time you are in Curaçao, come to Papagayo Beach Club its a bit further east from Sunscape. There is a Hotel and a Resort. And there is a saltwater infinity pool. Also beach and great snorkling and deepdiving facility. Hope to see you there

The squid are my favourite. First time I snorkelled was in princess Cays and I was over a school of squid.

Since you both love snorkeling you should do the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. The coral and fish are so colourful.
I swear Dee and I are sisters!! I do the exact same film underwater everywhere we go and its all about the tropical fish. I found the same colorful fish in Roatan but not in Cozumel or Costa Maya. Some in Belize. It is my mission every trip. I LOVE that you guys do this too! Maybe we will be on the same cruise some day and can go together. We start our channel on August 1 and on Adventure on Aug 28th. Hope there are pretty fish in the Bahamas!!

Dee, you HAVE to go snorkeling in Roatan! It's AMAZING! We were there with my family in January 2020. We rented a boat with a captain for 3 hours. I could have snorkeled for 2 weeks there... didn't want to come out of the water. LOLL If you want more infos, let me know.

We’re going on Mardi Gras 9/18/21 to Costa Maya, Cozumel and Mahogany Bay. Any places you recommend to snorkel in those places? We haven’t been to Costa or Mahogany but we love Sanchos! He hasn’t snorkeled at Sanchos yet so if you have a hot spot there he should hit please lmk! Thank you guys so much for your videos! Traveling is LIFE!

They do! It's up to each cruise director to choose if they want it or not, but we went on this second leg of the Horizon.

The mask is prescription from Amazon, but they don’t sell that model anymore. We have our current pick for gear in our Amazon shop though!! :D

Hey guys, we love your videos! Been watching trying to get ready for our cruise on 8/21. Love the snorkeling and marine life footage. Are you using stock settings on your gopro or do you have modified settings?
The only thing we change is not using "wide" mode as it's too warped looking for my taste. We always use "normal" or "linear", whatever the setting is called, but that's it!! :P ~Jay
this place looks awesome am looking for places like this to visit on my upcoming cruise on 8/6/22. is the taxi stop you guys took close to the carnival port? how much was the ride? is it easy to get back to the cruise port? thanks
The taxi stand is right at the port. We lucked out and found a group van going to Mambo Beach that dropped us at Sunscape on the way, so I think that was less than $10/pp. The ride back we were by ourselves, so it was more.

I just got back from there on the Magic ( which went on because of one of your video series )and went to Mambo beach , I just went to the beach and there was a nice bar on the beach. What do you get from the resort ?
Nice! We vlogged a day at Cabana Beach Bar at Mambo Beach back in the day as well, but this resort includes all your food and drinks, whereas Cabana didn't. Still a fun day though!! :D
Will be taking this same itinerary next year on a cruise, Family of 5 that is very budget conscious. What suggestions could you give of things to do at those ports? Will be leaving from the Miami port where do you recommend we park?

Sunrise has some amazing new food options that we hadn't seen on any other ship, such as Guy's breakfast burgers, breakfast pizza, noodle bowls and such. But the Horizon is definitely shinier and newer, ha ha...

From what we were told, you just show up at Sunscape Curacao and buy it on the spot. The normal price as of when we went was $89 per adult and $69 per child, but that may have changed. It couldn't hurt to message Sunscape Curacao on FB or possibly drop an email to reservations.sucur@sunscaperesorts.com just to check availability and pricing these days... ~Jay

It looks like they hide the information pretty well, ha ha... we were able to reserve ours in advance through Dee's super travel agent powers, but we messaged them on FB and apparently, you don't reserve them in advance. You just show up at Sunscape Curacao and buy it on the spot. The normal price is $89 per adult and $69 per child, but their FB rep quoted a limited-time special (with no specific end date) of $69 per adult and $40 per child.
