GREAT VIDEO! THANK YOU! I'M PLANNING TO ORDER ONE AND WANTED TO DO AS MUCH RESERCH AS POSSIBLE BEFORE PULLING THE TRIGGER. YOUR VIDEOS REALLY HELP OTHERS. AND I REALLY NEED ANOTHER TRAD BOW, JUST ASK MY WIFE! 😆
Great review. You probably know this already but your arrow has a severe bounce off the shelf. I’m guessing it was an initial impressions shooting video and you’ve tuned it to fly straight. Either way, very cool bow👍
How did you get noise out of it? I have a 54” shrew I’m trying tk shoot 3 finger and can’t seem to get it to quiet down. You didn’t have it tillered special did you? What did your nock height end up and did you keep the 7.75” brace height? I agree they are amazing bows
I went with 1/4" above square on the rest for the nock height and 8" brace height. Every bow is going to be slightly different, but this works for me. Best of luck.
No regrets after owning it 2 years now. Its a top shelf bow and I've had no problems with it whatsoever. They are pricey at around $750-$800 but the quality is there.
Great review, I wanted to know what the draw weight is of the bow your shooting and how far from the target are you? The bow looks fast , I love bamboo.
45# draw weight, target is 18 yards. I have not chronographed it yet. Very fast and super quiet. It has what's called "whisper" string that adds to its speed and is a very quiet string. This is a awesome bow and Tim Cosgrove at Kustom Kings archery is great to deal with!
According to everything I have read, the 52" should be fine up to a 29 1/2" draw length without stacking or extreme finger pinch. I have a 28" draw and this bow works perfect for 28". I was going to get the 54", but I use this bow for hunting out of a treestand and the 52" is best suited for that. I think you would do well with a 52", 54" or 56" depending on what you prefer.
I have never shot any other Shrew bow and took a chance on this one to be honest. You never really know if you are going to like a bow until you shoot it. I got lucky I guess and this one fits me like a glove. There was nowhere around here that I could go and shoot one prior to buying it.
@@ReconRokon thanks for taking the time to do the reviews and also replying to my questions. I think I am going to go for it and order one. Thanks again
Thanks for the comment. The lower limb tip is flattened like that at the bowyers shop when they are made. I think it is a personal touch of Henry Bodnik. The top limb tip is pointed. Very nice bow. Pricey, but worth it.
Good review on the Shrew. Hard for me to wrap my head around a 52 inch longbow, wow! ScottinPa.

Lol I was going to comment the same thing!!
I need a 48” version
Absolutely beautiful bow! What kind of quiver do you have on that bow?

When you ordered, did you order stock or as a 3 under bow, thanks again
Try 5/8” nock point and 7 1/4” brace height 👍🏻
@@ReconRokon looks to me you're arrow knocks are/ were high in flight !
I know this video was made over a year ago, but wondering if your still shooting the bow and your thoughts after owning it for a year?

@@jaydawg8129 Awesome thanks for the information .
My draw length is 28 to 28 1/2 , would the 52 work for me or should I go with the 54 or 56 .

Nice bow... BUT flattening the tip will void your warranty as I read it.
