I’m doing something a little different this week. I’m having a theme week on the channel! Every video posted, starting today and ending next Sunday, will feature at Southern California airport. That’s LAX, SAN, SNA, BUR, and LGB. At least those are the ones you’ll see this week! So if you notice we are ending up in the same geographic location a lot, that's why! It all starts today with this monster flight from Honolulu to Los Angeles! We have to get to SoCal first right? As always, it's going to be a good week 😏! Be sure to stay tuned all week for some great weather, beautiful views, and of course… a lot of aviation! Thanks for all of your continued support everyone!
My last trip from HNL to LAX was on 747 in 2006. Beautiful and just as i recall. Now all the 3 and 4 engine jets i flew on in 80s 90s thru 2006 are all gone. I just recall the roominess and full meals i received all those years ago. Pure pleasure. I'm not sure passengers feel that way anymore. And NEVER had to worry about passengers being uncivil.
You know what... As much as I fly, and as much as I'm in Honolulu, I never got to fly a 747 to or from Hawaii. So, that's a great memory to have my friend!
Not trying to rub it in to anyone or anything, but watching this on my 48" UHD OLED TV that I got recently (old one was from 2009 and beginning to show "signs", you know), actually was pretty neat. And that's with the 1080p cable from the old TV! Still not like being there yourself, but just that much closer for sure! The TV is made for scenes like the ones you got especially at HNL. Great video as always, the 330 is one of my favourite heavies in which to fly. 🙂👍
Between you and me, I would've caught the next flight back to HNL. Good view of LGB Airport. Now, it's time for me to rest of up from the jet lag after watching this video.
How do you manage your time to record so much material for a daily upload? Do you do this for living or do you have a different job (maybe remote) at the same time? Keep it up, your filming work is great! :)
Well, my channel is nearing 8 years old now. And for the first 6.5 years, I did everything on here in addition to working as an aircraft rescue firefighter. Because of the unique 24/7 schedule associated with being a firefighter, I would work 3 on 4 off, 4 on 3 off schedules. This allowed me to fly on my weekends, as I had 3 or 4 days to fit trips in. For just over a year now, I've been attempting to run this channel full time. It's not always rainbows and lollypops though. I've lost money more months than I've made a profit, but I planned for that, and I'm doing the best I can to keep everything going with this as my only income. So, I really appreciate everyone who takes the time to watch, comment, like and subscribe! If people aren't able to help support the channel on Patreon or through a channel membership, which I certainly understand isn't for everyone, then doing those simple things is the best way to help support the work I do here. So thanks for watching my friend! I really do appreciate it! That's why, at over 1,000,000 views a month, and thousands of comments, I still read every single one, and I reply to as many as possible. Because I really do appreciate everyone who watches!
Amazing full flight video! It’s one thing to do a full flight video on a short 45 - 60 minutes inter-island flight. To be able to use a hand held iPhone taking video on a 5hr flight from Honolulu to the west coast is INCREDIBLE! 👍💯
Thanks for effort Dude. I flew this very route in 90’ December, on a Continental 747-200. Flying up before early in morning from Papua New Guinea via Guam on their then direct 727 service, connected by late night DC-10 to HNL. All to meet Grandpa. Golf in Anaheim, a beloved American Missionary who looked after my Dad so well when around late high school and college days. Had privilege of then hopping next door from Arnhem, for a days visit to the Mouse’s Kingdom aka Disney Land afterwards too.🫶🏾☺️☺️#Memories #Nostalgia #CaliforniaDreaming
I appreciate that my friend. A lot goes into these videos. It's not all just jet setting around the world having fun. It sound like you have some great memories from that trip. That's one I would've loved to have taken when similar routes were still around with those aircraft. I've done United's island hopper from Honolulu to Guam via The Marshall Islands and Micronesia, but sadly I never got to fly on any of CO or UA's 747's before they were gone. I flew back to HNL on a United 773, which is still cool, but it's no 747.
Great fly! Which country did you visited the most so far? Also, my Frontier flight 2002 (FFT2002) leaves 6:31AM PDT and arrives 1:35PM EDT, subject to change, for tomorrow so I'm done today for spring break.
I hope you had a good spring break my friend. As for the country I've visited most outside of the US, that would be Sint Maarten, which is Dutch/French. I've also been to France several times now, so I guess the technical answer is France.
Kaukalama. Nice. What isnt that nice is the cabin of HA. As far as i know there are only video monitors in business and extra payed seats. Hmm. That's the Aldi version of the A 330-200. 😅
Well, some of their A330 cabins are definitely showing age at this point, however, I can confirm that all of their A330 seats have built in IFE. Their A321's do not, but I've never had an A330 that didn't have them in every seat, and I've been on most of their A330 fleet at this point haha.
I don't always. But, it is one of my favorite places to sit. Typically, if you're on a Hawaiian A330, the flight is a longer one. At least 5 hours. 34A/J is the exit row, so you have room to get up without making the person in the other seat get up, and the window alignment is perfect for filming by hand like I do. I've also done 29A/J or 11A/J. To be honest, row 11 is my favorite, but they're also everyone else's favorite, so they're almost never open unless you book MONTHS out.
@@virgiltan9981 30A/J are okay. They have a window, but it's a bit forward of the seat. So you kind of have to lean forward to really use it. You can see a full seat map, including window placement of the HA 332 here: www.aerolopa.com/ha-332
Are you sure you didn't see anyone at the airport. There are some people in the background. As for the voices, I have to do that at some airpots because they play loud copyright protected music in the gate areas. So, I have to record the automated announcements to place over the original audio, otherwise my video would be flagged and every penny of the 5 hour video would go to Taylor Swift.

we are happy to have you with us on hawaiian airlines a330 to los angeles
nice to see a video in the new terminal at HNL!! i like the new backdrop at the gate :) aloha
It's a big improvement of the old terminals haha. They were, well... Let's just say... Dated haha.
I haven't been to LAX in years ever since DFW started service straight to SBA, good to see it again.
LAX may be a pain to navigate, but nothing compares to the various airlines you'll see there. Thanks for waiting my friend!
You can feel the A330 just float in with that cool, dense sea level air.
I can't get over how beautiful that taxi route is. Definitely one of my favorites.
didn’t know dry fields were beautiful
Always love that reef runway 8R Departure View 🥰
Fantastic video...like always.
I'm glad you enjoyed it my friend! Thanks for watching!

Another airport that a full flight will feature later this week 😉. Thanks for watching my friend!
Just flew home to LAX from Kona last Sunday.
I don't know how you do it. The time you put in etc .etc. Amazing every video every time.
Thanks my friend. I appreciate it very much! I do my best to always provide the best content I possibly can, on the tight budget I have haha.
Excellent footage Skylite👌. Liked and enjoyed.
Thanks my friend. As always, I appreciate you stopping by!
Another fantastic video. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Majestic A330!

What's the alarm going off at 6:41? Don't think that's part of the safety demo.
I honestly don't know. I couldn't figure it out at the time, and I've never been able to figure it out.

For a full flight I haven't seen one person at the airport or anywhere on the plane. All the voices you hear are computer generated.

This is a Airbus A330 can you change it Can you look at your flight information by flight equipment ?
Every time! It doesn't matter how many times I proofread it haha. It was right in the title haha. Thanks for watching my friend!
