I have never purchased one of these but I do get a load of similar jewelry in storage lockers I buy and I found mystery lots tended to disappoint a lot of people so what I started doing was to group similar items necklaces, earrings, bracelets, pendants and i sell them in lots of 30. I take 30 pieces and I photograph them in groups of say 4-5 per picture I bag them individually so you don't have that tangling issue and the small bags in bulk aren't really expensive at all and i sell them earrings $20 for 30 pairs, bracelets /pendants $25 for 25 pieces and necklaces $30 for 30 pieces. I usually make sure there is at least one piece I would consider as a better piece be that sterling/gold plate or a piece from a brand with a decent reputation. I also do lots for watches and coins which are similar
@@caroltiller5116 this is just another way to move stuff I have found in my lockers and auctions and it just moves a lot of jewelry and trinkets etc. I also do it with lots of like trading cards, craft supplies and other things

Treesa - The jewelry rescue boxes on ThredUp's website come and go. You have to keep checking the website to see when they list more. Meanwhile, be aware that they have reduced the quantity to 5 lbs and the last time I checked, the price has increased to $44. My favorite pieces were the malachite earrings and the braided sterling silver necklace. Thank you so much for watching!❤️
Hi Renae! So glad you enjoy my videos! Rescue boxes can be "risky", but the mystery of it is so fun when unboxing! The prices now on thredup for this type of box is $44 and only 5 LBS (not the 10 LB box as this one was!) Thank you for commenting and for watching! 💗💗

Hi Barbara, i enjoyed watching the video. Loved that beautiful braided Italian silver bracelet, nice find! I finally decided to take the plunge buying jewelry to resale. This my sound dumb but I been asking this in other channels. When you come upon broken watches, what do you do with them? Do you sell them on a broken watch lot? Or you get rid of them? I am new at all the the resale thing that i am so clueless. I am also, super clueless how I will sell the items on eBay. I gotta need to "move" to make money some how. Now I am basically disabled, so I need ways to make money 😟 Thanks in advance
Hi Mary - Good for you taking the plunge! With regard to broken watches, many pp do lot them up and sell them as broken or for parts. Some people like the parts for "steampunk" creations. I hope this helps, and thanks so much for watching!! 💕💕
The “state” pendant looks like Africa to me. I like the Art Deco silver pendant and chain- it’s beautiful! It’ll look great once you get it cleaned up. I saw LC on one- I think it may be Lauren Conrad, not Liz Claiborne? Not sure.
Hello Corrine! I'm watching this old videos this days (February 2023) and found your answer about the "state" pendant, which also looked for me like Africa. I don't now if your are / were a follower of this channel, but maybe your can tell me why is Pickychick not posting anymore. Thank you so much!!!
Hi Fran - I have to consider if the item is sellable based on brand, style etc - it is time consuming to list items on ebay. Have to take photos, edit them, list the item, store the item, etc. So I have to sometimes put wearable items in the craft lot.Hope this helps.💜
Catherine -- Most definitely! My biggest obstacle to doing that is time. The creative part of me gets frustrated because I see all of the potential in the broken or imperfect pieces and there is just not enough time in my life right now with all that I'm doing. Thanks so much for watching. 💗💗
Very interesting today ! I think that "state " was the continent of Africa ! Do you have a Bohemian lot? That would be a great thing to add. BTW . ..I made my husband watch the first 10 minutes of your video so he could understand what I keep telling him about ! Thanks again for the great work !
I was watching another tuber and she said 30pcs were back and I quickly looked and bought one. Then they were gone. Also have some eBay lots coming. 😻😻😻

Such cute cubic little earrings!
That pendant is not a state sweety, looks like Africa to me
Why dont you make a fiew colorcoordinated smaler lots for your shop?
I realy enjoyed this box!
Cute idea about color co-ordinated lots! Unfortunately, my time is limited. Thank you so much for watching. I'm so glad you found my channel!!
They look like snaps
But you need the back part to put them on a blouse front!or a western shirt.
I didn't realize that's what they were... thank you!
Wow ten pounds. What fun. Let’s go
Vickie - Yes, that's what I'm talking about! LOL. 😁 Thanks for watching!! 💕
💕
Great idea, Reuben - thank you for the suggestion!
I don’t see how you come out ahead.

@@caroltiller5116 this is just another way to move stuff I have found in my lockers and auctions and it just moves a lot of jewelry and trinkets etc. I also do it with lots of like trading cards, craft supplies and other things
I love crafting and do make jewellery myself and if the shipping costs weren't so darn expensive, I would buy some craft lots from you! But I do enjoy watching your videos, they are always so clear, even if I turn green with envy from time to time 🤪
Hi Sandra! I offer craft lots in two sizes right now. 10-12 pound boxes, and 20 pound boxes. I ship them out in USPS Priority Flat Rate boxes, and charge shipping accordingly. They have bee quite popular, and all of my craft lots are sold out right now. I'm in the process of creating new craft lots to list. Thanks so much for watching! ❤️❤️
The Chico’s necklace color it’s like that; it’s pretende to be an antique; I heard many times you said about that color it’s changed; but it’s not dear pick chic; you can see it on any store. Thanks
Hello Mercedes. Thank you for letting me know that! I appreciate your watching the video!!❤️❤️
I believe 3:55 is a real horn . It's very nice .
Thank you, it's such a pretty piece, isn't it? Thanks for watching!!
Hi! great find with that sterling bracelet! Also, please sow us a little bit of the doggies, I bet they are adorable!
Hii Nonie! I agree, that bracelet was so pretty! Okay, I will show Alfie and Fred more. I think they're cute, but I"m their mother! LOL. Thanks for watching! 💗💗
@@pickychick777 Ha, I know you are! I'm a huge animal lover, they sound so cute in the background, I thought I would love to see what they look like! I am going to check out youe Ebay to see your items!. I have items listed on there 'jewelry' too!
I love my two little guys, fr sure. 💕💕
You sound just like Sigourney Weaver! Thanks for the upload, you scored a good deal!
Hi Thrifty Heart! I've never been told that I sound like Sigourney Weaver, so I just listened to a video-taped interview with her, and I can hear a similarity. Thanks so much for watching my video! ❤️❤️
I absolutely love love love that amulet type necklace with the greyish crystal inside. so unique! Would love to know if you found out anything about it. I want.. lol
Hi Cyndie. I have not learned anything about it yet. One of my viewers did tell me that she received the exact necklace in one of her thred up jewelry boxes. Interesting, huh? Thank you for watching! 💕💕
@@pickychick777 thanks for responding. I'm not that surprised .. I've long suspected that a large part of what they sell is bought bulk .. there are too many of the exact same thing on their pages. :)
It's by the brand "fiesta", I just saw it with tags on another video by Christinaaa titled "Thredup 5 lb DIY jewelry box" and came back here to let you know! It's such a cool necklace, hers has a green stone and it appears at 15:55 in her video. (It's at 42:00 in this one.)
Do you sale your craft piles? If so, how do we go about seeing what you have for sale?
Hello Alma - When the craft lots are available, I first alert my Instagram followers just before I list them. My instagram name is @picky.chick. (don't forget the "dot" between 'picky' and 'chick') The link to my ebay store is: www.ebay.com/usr/pickychick At this very moment, there are none listed.
Do you only make up lots or maybe MOST of your finds go into lots...I'm trying to figure out how to do what you do...cuz it looks like so much fun...I love the look thru all the jewels...
Hello Cathleen! The craft lots I make usually consist of jewelry that may need some repair or jewelry that may be missing parts. I keep the pieces that I think I can sell. Thank you very much for watching!!
Thx.for sharing.i thought several of the pieces were so very nice.im a buyer to keep something or give away..not a sellet..i went on thred up to see if any boxes were available..trying to plan ahead..but could not find any under jewrlry rescue box..jewelry bags..or 10lbs of jewelry..would you please let me know how to locate them on thread up?.thx.i do have a question..out of all of the finds anywhete that youve discovered..what was one of your favorites..thx.
Trying to type not a seller..cant see..sorry
Treesa - The jewelry rescue boxes on ThredUp's website come and go. You have to keep checking the website to see when they list more. Meanwhile, be aware that they have reduced the quantity to 5 lbs and the last time I checked, the price has increased to $44. My favorite pieces were the malachite earrings and the braided sterling silver necklace. Thank you so much for watching!❤️
Ms PickyChick what do you do with the ''craft lot''?
When I make craft lots, I list them on eBay. If you’d like to know when I list them, you can follow me on Instagram @picky.chick
"Say goodbye Barbara!" 😂😂😂
Thank you for watching, Laurie!
Have always wanted to purchase a rescue box. Love your videos 😍
Hi Renae! So glad you enjoy my videos! Rescue boxes can be "risky", but the mystery of it is so fun when unboxing! The prices now on thredup for this type of box is $44 and only 5 LBS (not the 10 LB box as this one was!) Thank you for commenting and for watching! 💗💗
What do you do with jewelry in your craft pile?
When I get 8-10 pounds (sometimes heavier) I list it in my eBay store. Thanks so much for watching!!
Very nice box Barbara. TFS
Thank you for watching, Mart! 💗💗
I would like if you stated an approx price you'll be charging
Hello Cathleen -- I will keep this in mind for future videos. Thanks so much for your comment and for watching!!!
PickyChick this way is better I find. You really need time to do your thing before evaluating and selling . Here we are having the thrill of seeing the surprises 🤗🤗. . People can go to your pages to get information on pricing . Love your videos. And a must tell you, you are a beautiful woman 🙂

First time watching how much did the ox cost you please.
Hello Angela - Thank you for watching! This box was $20. ThredUp has now increased the price of this size box to over $60.
Beautiful sterling braided bracelet
Hi Vickie!!! Isn't it beautiful?? Thanks for watching! 💗💗
That's what I was thinking lol Dead bird feathers😬
LOL😊😊
I would love to be one of your craft, mystery lot containers! Lol TFS!
I mean like being the tub that catches your lots. Lol
There are a lot of good items in craft lots for those who craft or harvest pieces. I do sell the craft boxes in my Ebay or Etsy stores. But they sell out quickly. Thanks for watching! 💗💗
I love the faux turquoise piece
My apologies for the 4 month delay in replying (RUclips's fault, many comments which were not visible are now appearing) Thanks so much for your comment I would love it if ThredUp offered 10 pounds again -- at the $20 price, of course! Thank you for watching!!! ❤️❤️
@Dragonfly Gurl6 OOOOH darn ! That's terrible! I know the feeling ,I've made that mistake like twice before..🤦♀️ I hope you can find or remember your other account. God Bless
Wait!! Is that black seed bead necklace from the 1930s flapper? Just guessing.
It does look like flapper, huh? This box was a great one!
I enjoy your videos. I'm a new subscriber. Thanks for sharing.
Hello Cassandra - Thank you for letting me know that you enjoy my videos - and I'm very happy that you subscribed!! 💜💜
I don’t see them anymore do they still sell the 10lb box anymore?
I believe that Thredup reduced the size to 5 pounds, and that they often sell out when they restock them on their website. Best to keep checking their website to try to score one! Thanks for watching! 💕💕
Now I am basically disabled, so I need ways to make money 😟
Thanks in advance
Hi Mary - Good for you taking the plunge! With regard to broken watches, many pp do lot them up and sell them as broken or for parts. Some people like the parts for "steampunk" creations. I hope this helps, and thanks so much for watching!! 💕💕
@@pickychick777 thanks so much for your response 😊
You're welcome!!
The “state” pendant looks like Africa to me. I like the Art Deco silver pendant and chain- it’s beautiful! It’ll look great once you get it cleaned up. I saw LC on one- I think it may be Lauren Conrad, not Liz Claiborne? Not sure.
Hello Connie - Thank you for your help w/ identifying Africa. I think LC is Lauren Conrad now that you point that out. I appreciate your watching!! 💗💗
Hello Corrine! I'm watching this old videos this days (February 2023) and found your answer about the "state" pendant, which also looked for me like Africa. I don't now if your are / were a follower of this channel, but maybe your can tell me why is Pickychick not posting anymore. Thank you so much!!!
Hi was you gona sell the omega watch you bought in December. Great videos
Hi Sandra, I do plan to sell it, but I will first consult with a jeweler to get a better idea of its value. Thanks so much for watching!!
Not to be critical but why out so many beautiful things in craft lot
Hi Fran - I have to consider if the item is sellable based on brand, style etc - it is time consuming to list items on ebay. Have to take photos, edit them, list the item, store the item, etc. So I have to sometimes put wearable items in the craft lot.Hope this helps.💜
If you make jewelry you could take apart
The chicos necklace and make another piece
Catherine -- Most definitely! My biggest obstacle to doing that is time. The creative part of me gets frustrated because I see all of the potential in the broken or imperfect pieces and there is just not enough time in my life right now with all that I'm doing. Thanks so much for watching. 💗💗
@@pickychick777 totally agree, that takes time and energy
@@catherinethompson2525 😊😊😊
So do you sell your craft lot???
I do create craft lots- and when I do have them, I list them in my eBay store.

Hello Teresa! I agree with you! It was a great box! Thanks so much for watching!!
Very interesting today !
I think that "state " was the continent of Africa !
Do you have a Bohemian lot? That would be a great thing to add.
BTW . ..I made my husband watch the first 10 minutes of your video so he could understand what I keep telling him about !
