Bea, I so appreciate the interesting information. I knew Coro was a vintage brand, but had no idea about the history you shared. Thank your for your comments and for watching!! ❤️❤️
The multi strand pearl and red/orange bead necklace @ 29:26 I'm pretty sure the clasp is the large end pearl. You slide the gold piece into the hole in the pearl.
@@pickychick777 Thank you. Am watching your top 10 of '18 right now. That vintage silver bracelet with the purple stones; those stones are a lesser grade of amethyst.
@@pickychick777 Well first it helps to know your stones. I also cut stone. In your case, you see those white striations? That's quartz, the matrix off which Amethyst grows. the points (tips) are generally clear purple. the closer to the matrix you get the more you see it intermingled with whatever 'stone' you are dealing with. You see the same with smokey quartz, tourmaline, etc. Anyway; those stones tell me they were cabbed (cabochon) off the leavings of other harvests. Too, depending on where the stone was harvested determines the quality. Either way, the value is in the workmanship of the silver of that bracelet, and now its age.

Hi, some lovely pieces in that jar. How can you test if they are silver? I love jewellery new and old. The necklace you liked that you said you had never seen anything like it, I have a lot of my grans jewellery she was born 1900 but I would say most of the jewellery come from the 1950’s most of them had fastenings like that with some sort of stone on top, the clasps were never very pretty looking so they always put some decoration on, it was always worn with the decorated clasp at the back of the neck. xxxAnnxxx
Hello Crafty Littler Things!! There are silver testing kits with acid testers. You scratch a tiny bit of the jewelry on a special stone, and when acid is dropped on, it will turn a certain color if it is precious metal. It sounds like you have a wonderful collection of jewellry from your grandmother! How nice! Thanks so much for watching!! ❤️❤️
PickyChick Thank you for explaining that to me. I have a lot of my grans jewellery and quite a bit of my Mums, and loads of my own lol I just love it. I often buy job lots on eBay over here in the Uk the charity shops sell by piece and if they are silver then they are a high price! So I don’t bother going into them anymore. xxxAnnxxx

So I don’t bother going into them anymore. xxxAnnxxx
You are very welcome, Ann! I still have so many pieces set aside that I need to test!
Hi Barbara I think your rhinestone Lisner necklace is missing a piece. 😻😻😻
Yes, I do believe so now that I look again. Oh well. I still love the sparkle! ❤️❤️
PickyChick I think you can fix it.

GREAT FIND ON THE JAR😊
Hi Debra! Thank you for watching!! ❤️❤️
Another great jar. Just wondering how you get coupons for Goodwill.
Hello Jimalee - My local Goodwills stamp a card every time you make a purchase of $15 or more. Once you have four stamps on your card, you turn the card in for 20% off your next purchase of $20 or more. Not all Goodwills offer this coupon card. Thank you for watching!!
@@pickychick777 Hi, Barbara Thanks for sharing that information. I think my local Goodwill has different promotion days but doesn't do the stamp cards and also doesn't have jewelry jars in their store. I recently discovered shopgoodwill.com, though, and they have many jewelry lots. Buying them can get addictive very fast... Wishing continued success with your jars.
@@jimaleesowell3735 It can get VERY addictive! I speak from experience!!😊😊

Did you figure out what the key with a face looking mark was?
Hi Nikki - I'm not sure which piece you are referring to. Do you have the time stamp of the video where the item appears? Thanks so much for watching!! ❤️❤️
What do you use to clean the jewelry
Hi Maria - For items containing metals, I use a Sunshine Jewelry polishing cloth - here is the link: : amzn.to/35RbexB
For gemstones and synthetic stone material, I use a diluted dish soap and damp cloth to wipe clean. Hope this helps. Thank you for watching!
I want to get a jar now. Your etsy store link doesnt work
Hello Margie - The jars can be fun, especially the mystery of what may be inside! I recently closed my Etsy account to focus more on Ebay and Poshmark, and forgot to remove the link for Etsy from my RUclips Info (thanks for the reminder) Thanks very much for watching!
you sure do have a really nice jar. Its about time, isn,t it.
Thanks for watching, Carol! ❤️❤️
Hi, Barbara, May I know where to buy jewellery boxes? I am from Hong Kong. Thanks.
I do not know where to buy them in Hong Kong. Mine are purchase from a local U.S.A. thrift store. Thank you for watching!
What does it mean if it's stick to the magnetic tool or not ?
If it sticks to the magnet, then the piece is not precious metal.
Last one is Crown TRIFARI
Thank you for that information, June, and thank you for watching!
Can you tell me how long does thread up unboxing take to arrive it has been a week has not arrive yet does it take this long? Love your channel!

Interesting how I order jar jewelry?
Hi Jaramay - These are purchased locally at a thrift store. Thank you for watching!
Your welcome 🙂 ok I understand thanks for sharing your video ♥️
Replace those stones and pearls!!! Go to a store that sells stones and crystals and pearls. Won't cost much, especially since they are vintage.
Thank you, Sandra! 💗💗
I've bought jewelry jars where I live and they have nothing but junk in them...the last one the whole middle was rusted!
Edie, That's a shame the jewelry jars are so bad in your area. Maybe on your next vacation out of town, you can try your luck! Thank you for watching! ❤️❤️
Wow! You really got your money worth and some.
I agree with you, it was such a good jewelry jar. ❤️ ❤️

Hi Barbara
You are looking lovely today!
I wonder if the carved beads are Cinnabar? x
Hi Julie! They could be Cinnabar. I will have to learn how to determine if they are or not. Thanks so much for your comment and for watching! ❤️
@@pickychick777 Fabulous Jar Barbara!
My favourite was the white necklace!! Can't wait for an update on that! Thanks for sharing!! 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
Thank you, Julie! I agree, that white necklace was lovely!
When I was young my neighbor unfortunately passed away. Her daughters held an estate sale. My sisters and I decided to go see what we could find. One item we found was a jewelry box full of goodies and vintage pieces. It was a wonderful to see what great pieces she collected over the many years of her life. Taught us a lot about jewelry and we gained a great appreciation for it.
Hello Mr. Bill -- I agree-- it has been a great learning experience for me also, unjarring and unboxing these mystery jewelry loyts! Thanks so much for watching!! ❤️❤️
