The audio from the train window is recorded in high resolution with a linear PCM recorder.
On July 21, 2023, the Tokaido Shinkansen in-car chime was changed for the first time in 20 years.
This is the first train from Shin-Osaka that day.
The map is from around Nagoya.
From Nagoya station to Toyohashi station and between Hamamatsu, we use different equipment images.

まだ私が中学生の頃に他の事を考えている最中友達が私に必死になって窓から新幹線の方を見てごらんと騒ぐんで窓から見てると新幹線が止まっているのが見えた私も友達も二人して不思議に見ていた。よっぽどじゃないと停車しないけどなと思ったぐらいだ、当時の新幹線は０系だったけれど帰り道で友達がまた話しかけてきたひかり号こだま号の区別わかる言ってきたグリーン車が１両がこだま号でグリーン車が２両がひかり号だって話すとそうなんだと友達が納得した。いろんな思い出話をした。
日本の中枢回廊を2時間半弱、快適に車窓を愉しんだり弁当を食べたり酒を飲みながら過ごせることの至福さよ。しかも5分おきにくる便利さ。
新幹線の動画を見るたび新幹線はあっという間に行ってしまうが私が卒業した中学見えるかなとつい東京方向に左側の窓際で見てしまうが中学側からよく学校の窓から見ていた事をあるとつい新幹線の方にも見えるかなと窓から覗くほんの一瞬で行ってしまうけど新幹線乗るたびそう思っている。
Loved the new chimes on the last couple Shinkansen videos I watched. First time back on your channel in a while. I really do appreciate the translations to English you provide for the Japanese conductor announcements. It gives me insight into things that aren't typically translated, and makes me feel more a part of what's going on. Thanks again for that.

私が中学生の時に福山から東京まで新幹線に乗って以来大人になってからは新幹線に乗っていないから東京まで乗って行きたい。

運転しなくて良いのと大抵時間通りに着くのでスケジュール組みやすいです。
