He has it running at the PERFECT SPEED I think. Fast enough for some momentum but slow enough it won't fly apart and end up in the next county. Some others on RUclips go WAY to FAST!!! I would not want to be around them when they fly apart. This one HERE will work for YEARS!!! He should put some paint on it and some "guards" from moving parts and call it "Art". It looks like it has been up and running for a WHILE already. Hard to tell outside.
Every time I see someone with a jig that crushes 1 can at a time and where you have to put it in in the right way, I think of this gorgeous machine. Love it!
That's hella cool!! My daughter is watching with me and just before you added the cans she was laughing "hahaha and he drops his phone in". Insert cans & her jaw dropped. Super smart and efficient. Thanks for sharing
I've watched a lot of can crushing videos recently trying to get some ideas and as they say, the simple ideas are often the best. This machine has to be one of the simplest yet easiest machines to use crushes I've seen so far, and does a pretty darn good job too!
I would have to agree with you, this is so simple to to do, and a lot quicker. There is a lot of good ideas out there, and a lot are very complicated in their set up and running, but as I said, this is simple to use, and sometimes those ideas are the best.
@@hurlrules1 I agree with your assessment of Mr. AW, but also it wouldn't be too difficult to fashion a hopper that feeds a conveyor to feed the spinning tires. The size of the hopper isn't really limited, the size/speed of the conveyor controls the loading to the tires. Might need another motor--or could run multiple drives from the one motor. Depends on the scraps one can find to work with eh?
This is perfect!! Exactly what i want to build I just wish you would have shown HOW it works not just it working. Please make another video...just point out what is connected to what and the such. Great Job Brother!!
I think this is one of the best, fastest and most efficient DIY can crusher I have ever seen. I would also like very much to build one for myself. If you could make another video of how this machine is put together. How wheels are mounted and pulley reduction is set up. It would be greatly appreciated. You did a great job.
I planned to do one with lawn mower tires. figuring out the axels and how to make one driven will be the issue. Never thought of using full sized tires off an old trailer. I guess that will be a project if I ever get such a trailer needing to be hauled away for scrap.
What a smart idea. Super simple, built with a couple of old wheels and very fast. It actually looks way safer than most of the pneumatic crushers I've seen, I'm betting there is not a massive amount of force being applied and an arm in there would just jam the mechanism.
Great design for simplicity and production . I'm building one myself for large production, nice to see someone keeping it simple with productive functionality. I'M IMPRESSED !
Does a fantastic job of flattening the cans. Please build a bigger hopper and a complete guard cage around your machine then I will give straight A A A sssss
Yep, great idea! Without having read other comments, I apologize if it has already been suggested but perhaps you could use a larger hopper, it looks dangerous with your shirt so close to the tire. My hats off to you, bro
a friend of mine built a crusher with an upside down snowmobile with an electric motor running the track and a cut down yard roller over the track to crush them.
Oh, just had an idea. Instead of adding a flywheel you could fill the tires up with water. That would give the tires a lot of inertia. I seem to recall household water pressure runs around 55 psi. Just a thought. I'm not sure if it would make it work better.
My grandad used to strip the green hull off walnuts in a similar way. Walnuts have an thick skin that is hard to remove and stains your hands and clothes too but has to be removed before you can roast them. He built a half a box basically. rectangular about the width of a tire. Had a back wall and two side walls but the end was open and the top was too. It sat longways under his car tire. He would jack the back end up. Chock the front wheels. Then slide the box underneath one of the wheels adjusting the jack so there was just enough space between the tire and board for a walnut pit to fit thru. Then start it and put it in drive and it would spin slow at idle. All he had to do was feed the walnuts in and they would shoot out clean on the other side. I think about the shit he told me growing up. He could describe something to me sitting in his chair and I understood what he was saying in an engineering perspestive. He was my moms dad I never knew my dads. But I built a couple of unltralight aircrafts, an airboat, a treehouse with a zipline to it. A swimming pool made from a trojan yacht mold complete with a diving board where the bow would be and a full deck. Various gocarts, motorbikes, and all matters of motorized fuckery that swims rolls or flies that shoulda got me killed with dad. I now run a business servicing yachts just because I can and I am realizing I got all my enginuity from those 2. Im like a walking version of my grandad on moms side and my dad. I just came here to build can crusher for my little motoryacht and this vid unlocked core memories lol. Soon as I saw the tires I had to click. Thats good shit bro.
This is kind of the same setup as a CP200, which has a high powered blower that will also blow them into a semi trailer. Looks good for a residential model though.
That is extremely efficient, one of the best can crushers on RUclips.

I had this idea too, I’m glad I found someone who made it and filmed it so I can show people what I ment
Im going to downscale this concept to fit in in my small workshop. This idea is amazing, thank you for sharing.
OSHA would approve!😂 Love the ingenuity. Great job!
He has to build a typy of cage around the tires and paint it yellow osha's approved
I like the simplicity and mostly the efficiency. It does the most poundage with the least effort.
A deadman switch on a foot operated bar would be a great addition. 😆
jagtan13 More like a “soon-to-be-dead-man-because-his-arm-was-just-ripped-off” switch.
totally useless since you have to move around to load cans.

Here I am looking for inspiration for single can cruising. I want dreaming big enough. This is amazing
Coolest can crusher I've ever seen. Good job! Great engineering.
some guy was talkin' fast crushing cans . . . wasn't safe . . . completely safe on your machine . . . nicely done. Built . . .
By far the best DIY build on RUclips. Great job!!!!!
Thank you very much Edward! That is much appreciated

The best and the fastest can crusher I've ever watch on RUclips.
Some people will never understand pure genius 👍👍👍
Nor common sense...where are the guards...I wonder if he has 2 hands a year on...
@@tonyhussey3610 it's two car tyres and I'm guessing a fairly weak motor, I doubt it would do any serious damage to an adult
Best can crusher I have ever seen, thanks for sharing !!!
I have been thinking about building a can crushed similar to you're and you've helped me with some great ideas thanks! 👍
Simple yet effective! Great job!! As a kid we used to do it by hand / foot! 👍🏼👍🏼
Good job, Hello from Russia
really good looking machine, I just love the tires

The best I've ever seen in my entire life. 👍
For sure the best on RUclips, thanks I will copy that to save my time,,really thanks Claudio, front Brazil foz do Iguaçu waterfalls
E aí, copiou?
can you drop the camera in so we can see it work from the inside?
Best I've seen for what I would like to do.
Brilliant machine sir great build idea
i had this same idea and you made it long before i thought of it and it works perfect fantastic work thank you
You are a genius. 👍
Best one yet...
Great design for simplicity and production .
I'm building one myself for large production, nice to see someone keeping it simple with productive functionality.
I'M IMPRESSED !
Very impressive. Watch out around that thing!
Hmm! What an ingenious invention. 👍
This is the best one yet
best damn design i've seen
I was just crushing cans by foot yesterday and musing about something just like this. I may have to make one now.
My grandpa made on very similar back in the 80s brings back a lot of memories helping them crush cans they picked very cool
That's so cool.... time to drink some good ole beer.....
i love that it just shoots them out the bottom of the crusher
Go big or go home. This is awesome
Wow, with that idea you could totally replace the tires with something serrated & shred the cans too!
You rock bud. I love it. I really do
Best can crusher ever!
Absolutely brilliant!
This guy is my hero!
Its crude, and I like it!!
that is the best one I have seen nothing flattens a can like a being run over with a tire
That is an awesome idea!
HA - Love it. Nicely Done!
Great Idea and completion,MB. I see a claw and conveyor in your future.
A claw for his future missing hand or arm I think 😂
Nice set up..
I need that in my kitchen!
Best homemade can crusher yet!!
Looks dangerous! I like it!
Love that machine. Put a large chicken wire basket. For the intake area for dumping
Does a fantastic job of flattening the cans. Please build a bigger hopper and a complete guard cage around your machine then I will give straight A A A sssss
good job...i wonder if the pet bottle goes to your pressing machine...
nice build,
Beautiful.
That's badass!!
You done Good!!

Good job man
Great invention 👍👍👍
very cool but kinda dangerous and scary. You made me a little nervous a couple times there.
Rob Hicks there is potential to get hurt, that's for sure
Rob Hicks could have got some hair caught in those tires, that's why I shave my head..
this is not for pussyies
Fun to watch, but let's remove all the warning labels off everything... We could watch stuff like this all day, everyday
@@51-FS This is not for people who realize needlessly risking injury is fucking moronic. Thanks for letting us know what camp you're in.
Dude you ROCK 🎸
This is hands down the fastest crusher on the RUclips
Thata brilliant I want one. Be careful don't get hand in there
Awesome!👍👍 Thank you for sharing!
I think the idea is great. I think the throat should be longer than a persons arm so they can’t get their hand into the pinch zone.
How much fun can we have cruncing cans?
You and i think alike. Good job. Tim Allen aint got shit on us
jb 🙇♀️ Does everybody know what time it is???...lol
Все гениальное просто! Вы гений!!!

Now, THAT WORKS.
Can you build another one or sell this one. I manage a small scrap yard and would like one for my business
email me, sdiverjackyt@opayq.com
Très bonne idée... merci
What is the gap(if any) between the tires?
beautiful
Hi, any guidelines on how you achieved this?
It's pretty damn impressive!!!!
most practical to use. just dump a load in, no need to line them up. same result achieved that's more important.
Nice..is that rubber wheel filled with concrete or sand..that's what I would do...you would then incorporate a flywheel within the wheel.
that's one of my can crusher ideas from back in the early 70's.... i just never built it... hahahahahaha
God damn haha yea that is the best, most efficient can crusher. Im just tryna look for ideas on how to build one with my little weedeater motor
I need one of these
Love it!!!!
it works ,i like it but needs to be smaller&faster...😎✌
Would the size of the tires matter? I've got a couple of golf cart tires that I could spare
you got my vote

is the powered wheel turning the other wheel?
yes it does
One of the most efficient DIY can crushers. I wonder if OSHA would approve?
2:55 needs a head guard, lol
LMAO That is AWESOME!!!! Looks like you had some chickens in there too with what looks like feathers flying around. LOL
