America will be in a good place when Independents will be the largest voting block in every demographic. Both the parties should not take any electorate for granted.
apparently the silent majority stayed home. No one has explained of even been willing to discuss Joe Biden's 15 million additional votes from 2020. Those just vaporized.
Your caveat is noted and dismissed, Niall. 64% of American voters said they're "hopeful" since the election. One assumes that would include at least SOME voters who DIDN'T vote for Trump. If not, then election officials in a number of states have some explaining to do.
Regardless of the nuances invoked in this discussion, the normally sensible Niall is here craning his neck to effectively deny the fact that fully 96% of the electorate (48 states) shifted to the right in 2024. This is a statistic that the Democratic party would do well to heed if they expect to even out the balance of power in Washington over the next few years. 🧐
You're assuming those percentages are pitted against each other. A sizable chunk of both sets are independent voters who could swing either way, and some who voted for Harris are "Never Trump" republicans.
The real title sould be: The media's polarization of the public is not as effective as it was before.
Fox News is as effective as ever to me

So young, yet so wise.
Very well said, I turned Independent in 2020 and I get feeling a lot of Americans have too
A blend of Bernie bros and MAGA.
good to see the silent majority push back against the woke insanity

To be fair to Niall, he has to be the one to play devils advocate and he does it in a way that I find tolerable compared to brie, nomiki or jess.
@@benhur933 yeah but at least I can laugh at them. It’s harder to reason how he is smart yet fundamentally misguided.

Yeah man in 2016 I was nervous about what he would do… now in 2024, I’ve never felt more optimistic about a new president.
The division and "divisiveness was and still is projected mainly by the main stream media. The division megaphone is blaring 24/7 .. no let up.

Maybe everyone is beginning to realize that we are all equally tired of being misrepresented.

This is about class and economic issues.
Current economic conditions hit minorities and the young harder than others.
With practically a two-party system,,, the US will always be divided...

Hey!! Who would have thought biden would bring Americans together (just not in the way he wanted 😹)
Most can agree that the Federal Government is bloated and corrupt at many levels. There will be some pain as trust is slowly regained.
That's truly just a wealth gap

Yeah, 49%-48% doesn't seem remotely divided. Smh.
