It is a pity that when one is given the honour and privilege of being the First Citizen of the country, one makes absolutely no difference.
The way the program of President address to both the Houses of Parliament went on, the message of the current NDA government is loud and clear that there no change in the quality of its performance.
It looks like the presence of TDP and JDU, and being part of the Cabinet of Coalition Government, did not make any difference, so far. It is yet be seen in the days to follow, what difference TDP and JDU are going to make in the quality of governance of the country.

What did you expect from Modi regime? People of India did not vote for BJP to form a govt but still they formed with the help of the allies. That means Modi has no mandate ..Indra Gandhi declared emergency boldly but Modi undeclared emergency is well known
Liberty of expression laws also applicable on people in power otherwise indicates fascism.

Our political leaders should be more empathetic and compassionate to the poor people of our beloved country. Don't compare our economy with the US economy which is industrial based primarily, though they have large land that could be used for cultivation. But people are not there to cultivate. Not many people depend on agriculture there. All the Americans are settlers. They went there to make their living. Thanks be to God, our economy is less susceptible to depression, regression since it is agrarian in nature primarily. There can be revolution in our country if we fail to take care of our poor people. Political leaders should not be in the imaginary world. Indians fought with English people.
Finally we defeated them.
After the emergency Indira Gandhi won with a great mejority and she fought and won for freedom of Bangladesh.

@@meerak90 We choose congress candidates to take the Manipur issue to the parliament which Modi and mainland people are conveniently neglected. But it's the responsibility of the BJP government both at centre and state to solve it.
