I live in Montana. It’s beyond breathtaking here. To point out grizzly bears as a deterrent to come here is so stupid! If you get to see one it’s a miracle. I mean if you are deep in the mountains wearing lady gagas meat dress ,then yeah ,you may have an issue!!! Winter here is very cold. If you ski, cross country ski, snowmobile, icefish,or even just like to go sledding you won’t notice it’s quite so cold. Depending on which side of the divide you live makes a difference. I live on the east side of the state which is farmland and cattle country, yes I have seen a 65 degree below zero windchills, about the time you think you can’t take anymore winter it’s over. Spring shows up and then our beautiful summer season! It can get over 100 degrees in summer, but that’s not the norm. If you are someone who loves outdoor activities this is the place to be. Fishing, hiking, camping, swimming, boating, riding motorcycles, gardening, rock hounding, and just about everything you can imagine is here. People are down to earth, helpful and friendly. Come for a visit and decide for yourself. If you want to be social you can be, if you love solitude then you will find it here. Maybe I’m biased, but I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.❤
Why is it necssary to have every p;iece of land inhabited? Open spaces are good. Great wilderness areas are good. Most people these days are so enamoured with crowded cities, cheek by jowl living in suburbia, and a shopping centre on every block that they no longer have the desire or the ability to live in wide open spaces. How sad that is.
Just because there are few people doesn't mean it's empty!!! Animals and nature need space too. Unless you want the entire world to look like Los Angeles? I certainly don't!

And my little nowhere town actually has a bus, so I was able to give up driving. Where I live the winters are pretty mild. You can make it work if you want to.

Here are the states top reason why people don’t live there, no career opportunity and weather. 1. Alaska 2. Wyoming 3. Montana 4. North Dakota 5. South Dakota 6. Vermont 7. Maine 8. Nebraska 9. New Hampshire
So….most of these areas are inhabited by Native Americans? Do you see how ignorant and racist your comment is? Unless you are a Native American, you are also an ancestor of migrants.

I should have moved to Wyoming back in the 70’s. The first time I visited I fell in love with the large open plains and the fact that there were not so many people. I still want to go there but it’s much harder now.
try moving to Vermont. The cost and the few options available and the difficulty in building makes it hard to find a place to live even if you don't need a job.
I lived in Lincoln for 45 years In Nebraska there are 3 areas. Lincoln, Omaha and Who Cares. The LinOma area has about 1.1 million people in it. The rest of the state has the rest of the population. And Yes, Lincoln and Omaha are real cities.
All that garbage about Wyoming isn't true. The largest city in the State is Casper, not Cheyenne. We do not have just outdoors for entertainment. We have 12 movie theaters, in Casper alone. We also have loads of good restaurants to try, lots of different types of food. In warmer weather there are local farmers markets, annual events like the bluegrass festival,up on top of the mountain, downtown merchants get together and hold outdoor events. Street vendors offer a wide range of foods, lemonade, other soft drinks and adult drinks as well. In the winter we have an art walk. You start at one of the art galleries in town, walk to an art museum, after that, off to the hot chocolate stand to warm up for a while. We have so many events and things I can't include them all. That combined with the peace and calm, gorgeous landscapes, and all kinds of wild life. Come by to visit, even famous people love the slower pace.😊
Always wanted to visit Big Sky country. A River Runs Through It was so beautifully shot, and sparked a longing for the natural beauty of the state. Also, a couple of friends visited Montana several years ago, and stated that they finally understood how great fruit pies could be. What we get so pales in comparison. One of these days.... ❤

This guy acts like the high population states are the best, and populate the farms and cattle ranch's, he would see starvation. and, I would NEVER live in a populated city, with high crime rates, NO THANKS!. I love the quiet peace of the countryside.
Population are what allow businesses succeed or fail. Families need 2 jobs from those businesses to feed their kids No population=no businesses=no families=empty state. It's not a stupid little petty social decision.
I live in a populated area, I'm not directly in the city but I'm not in the middle of nowhere. There's not much crime, I'm close to the conveniences and still in a nice quiet area. It doesn't have to be one extreme to the next.
Alaska's most deterrent to live there is the cost of anything a person would buy in anywhere in the world. Groceries, vehicles, clothes, whatever has to be shipped by cargo ship from the Seattle area. Alaska is second only to Hawaii in the cost of living. I don't have the money to move anywhere with no money to buy a vehicle and just have Social Security Income to live on and health problems. So I'm stuck here in Wyoming, Michigan. This city wasn't named after that Western State. Settlers left Wyoming, Pennsylvania way back in the 1840's and 1850's to this Western Michigan area and they liked their city name so it eventually became the City of Wyoming, Michigan in 1959.
@utahdan231 , I wasn't complaining. I was just stating facts. Alaska is so expensive to live in because of everything a person would buy has to be shipped by cargo ship from Seattle to Alaska. So a new or used car for example is more expensive in Alaska that Seattle, New York, Dallas, because the whole sellers tact on the shipping costs to send those cars to Alaska. Then those car dealers charge more for the cars because they have to pay for the whole sellers. This is same thing for buying milk, hot dog buns, beer, etc. Alaska May have cheap to non existing fishing and hunting licenses to somewhat off set the high cost of living in Alaska, but it still is expensive to live there.
The picture starting over the water (Missouri River) & showing I 29 with park like area on the river & a large-ish auditorium east of the interstate is not South Dakota but is Sioux City, Iowa looking toward the east. Going the opposite direction across the river is South Sioux City, Nebraska. To find South Dakota one needs to go a little bit further north on the river until you reach a point of land that separates the Missouri River & the Big Sioux River. I was born & raised in Sioux City. I’ve gone to that auditorium for events since I was little & am now retired.

I am one of those jostling for space in overpopulated and overcrowded Nairobi City in Kenya. Here especially during the high Christmas season with residents rushing to catch their transport to upcountry, even taking one step forward in downtown Nairobi is an uphill task. We used to laugh as we listened to made up stories of how people walked sideways in china due to overpopulation but that is Nairobi in reality today. There's absolutely no space for anyone here. Give me entry into the US today and I wouldn't mind living in any of these deserted states. The problems we face in Nairobi far outweigh the problems of all these states here combined.

Genuine question here, Doesn't Wyoming and some of the other states offer solar panels like they do in major cities? That would help a lot with the utilities and air conditioning or heating, wouldnt it?
Its rare that I hear of anyone wishing they lived in these places. With all the people now being able to work remotely they're definitely moving to places they desire to live and it's not any of these.
@@YeshuaKingMessiah 😂 Thanks for exposing how utterly clueless you are. Very little land mass in this video falls under "frozen tundra." In fact, most of these places have much better weather than the majority of the country.

Montanas median house price is not 360k. Nope! Not anymore. Try adding another 100k to that. Montana is now the 3rd most expensive state to live in just below CA (in 2nd place) and HI taking 1st place.

Nebraska does has one of highest tax rate in the country. Property taxes going up every year and don't get a new car here in Omaha. You have to finance the taxes just to pay for the plates.
Hello from Wyoming, outsiders don't like to settle here, because we believe in second amendment. That's why we don't have crime in Wyoming. And we like it this way.
I love sparsely populated spaces, small towns, snows, owning large lands, nature, lack of crime and lack of illegal immigrants. Many people think i am messed up because of that. I grew up in a big city while I spent vacations at rural estate of my maternal grandpa. Therefore I am a bit different than those that grew up in big cities. I might as well retire in AK, ME, VT, ND, SD whichever offers some IDPA matches.
I kind of gathered that each of these states "rank among the least populated in the US" just from the title - no need to introduce all but one of them with that line. In person, I'd respond to every single one of those with a loud and exaggerated "Ooooooh!" Add that to your inner monologue when writing scripts - it helps!

Where there are no jobs there are no people.
Genuine question here, Doesn't Wyoming and some of the other states offer solar panels like they do in major cities? That would help a lot with the utilities and air conditioning or heating, wouldnt it?
@@MothersLovingArmsNursery It doesn't help much at -30 F .
I love beautiful, secluded, and peaceful places, but I can't stay in them for more than two weeks. 😆
When I was a young boy, I used to have a penpal from South Dakota.
Richard his name. I'm from Malaysia.
Penpal😂😂😂Those were the days. The best days. Now there’s social media. Simple times ❤
Nobody lives there and they still get two senators per state.
😂 What an IDIOTIC title! Those states aren’t “empty” because no one wants to live there. Millions wish they could, but can’t afford to.
Its rare that I hear of anyone wishing they lived in these places. With all the people now being able to work remotely they're definitely moving to places they desire to live and it's not any of these.
@@TessaBriggs-t7e You live in a strange place. Nearly everyone I know would move to these places, if they could afford it.
@@cryo9216u live strangely
No one wants to live in frozen tundra
It’s arctic climate m🤮
@@YeshuaKingMessiah 😂 Thanks for exposing how utterly clueless you are. Very little land mass in this video falls under "frozen tundra." In fact, most of these places have much better weather than the majority of the country.
@ are u drunk?
Mountains in Nebraska? Where the heck are the mountains? Please.
Very misleading information. New Mexico, Idaho, Kansas, Utah and Oregon all have fewer people per square mile than some of the ones mentioned.
The 400 yrs r up since 2000 and covid nothing has been the same. Every time u turn the TV on some kind of horror is afoot.
I got rid of my TV 20 years ago, I'm much calmer. I suggest that you do the same. Plenty of entertainment on RUclips premium, free movies, music playlists you can make or made for you.❤
True...
sad days in this country.
I've been here @ Juneau Alaska with a northern light!
They're all too cold for my taste.
What about Arizona or New Mexico? There are areas that are sparsely in these states.
Lack of water, or lack of amenities; gas, groceries, well-balanced schools, and other common services like decent internet. It’s not rocket science.
Well-balanced schools?
So, no libtards there?
Weather is harsh reality why no much people live in the areas.
I lived there for 50 years and miss it
I click on this video cause I'm looking for a place to move. It's nice to know there's places like this in abundance.
This has to be an AI video half of the information is incorrect!
Wyoming doesn't want a lot of people coming here. Also bear spray against a grizzly bear is laughable. If you get that close your dead.
Montanas median house price is not 360k. Nope! Not anymore. Try adding another 100k to that.
Montana is now the 3rd most expensive state to live in just below CA (in 2nd place) and HI taking 1st place.
You live a life. You live IN a home/a place.
Your life is more or less livable. Your home/a place is more or less inhabitable.
It’s like this all over the world. We live in Spain now and the middle is totally empty
But, Spain is a very beautiful country: you can never compare it with the UGLY America!
Interested to live in Montana.
North Dakota has no property tax anymore.
I live in Montana, and I’m here to say that it is a very dangerous place. The animals will kill you, the citizens will shoot you, the weather will freeze you. Stay away and leave it for those of us who like these things.
Good try lol
No one wants to live there already
Horrific climate
nice video
You have to love living in some States with more cows than people.
Love the sand hills , so unique❤
There is a lot of events going on in my city of Omaha Ne. Don't forget about the college world series and we have the number 1 zoo in the country. Nebraska does has one of highest tax rate in the country. Property taxes going up every year and don't get a new car here in Omaha. You have to finance the taxes just to pay for the plates.
Well people definitely aren't going to move there for the events. I'm sure it's fun to visit though.
Hello from Wyoming, outsiders don't like to settle here, because we believe in second amendment. That's why we don't have crime in Wyoming. And we like it this way.
Great content
I love sparsely populated spaces, small towns, snows, owning large lands, nature, lack of crime and lack of illegal immigrants. Many people think i am messed up because of that. I grew up in a big city while I spent vacations at rural estate of my maternal grandpa. Therefore I am a bit different than those that grew up in big cities. I might as well retire in AK, ME, VT, ND, SD whichever offers some IDPA matches.
I mean winter makes America slow.
The circular house at the very start, looks very nice. But would need Electricity, plumbed water n sewage and gas for cooking n heating.
I kind of gathered that each of these states "rank among the least populated in the US" just from the title - no need to introduce all but one of them with that line. In person, I'd respond to every single one of those with a loud and exaggerated "Ooooooh!" Add that to your inner monologue when writing scripts - it helps!
To hot, to cold, not enough water, no jobs.
Those were exactly the states I expected.
Because the climate is extreme, there is no industry (jobs), there is no infrastructure(roads, water, electricity) duh
There’s infrastructure ofc
That’s ridiculous
There’s no jobs or culture tho
And the weather is horrific!
The pictures do not necessarily match with the states. Some are shown over and over again no matter which state is discussed.
