Explanation about MySQL Tablespaces

  • General tablespaces are shared tablespaces created using CREATE TABLESPACE syntax. They can be created outside of the MySQL data directory, are capable of holding multiple tables, and support tables of all row formats. By default, InnoDB contains only one tablespace called the system tablespace whose identifier is 0.
    Note:-
    ALTER TABLESPACE is not supported by InnoDB.

    I have goten an issue with a database of 7 tera where i'm working as DBA, this one has innodb tables and large tokudb tables.
    The database shuted down it self and wanted to start automaticaly but stuck on starting. when trying to stop or start all operations faile. Can someone help me pls!
