god tip culture in the states is awful. especially now with the ipads - literally paying $9 for a cup of coffee sometimes. even in the drive through some places ask "how much do you want to tip" and you gotta respond out loud. i hate it so much. it definitely wasn't like this 10 years ago. so sick of it, wish staff were just paid a wage that they deserved instead of having to rely on tips. but I really can't believe they walked up to you and said "you didn't tip enough"... I've never heard of that happening before. insane
