You were commenting when the scene happened. After Stoic basically disowned Hiccup, he stumbled back for a moment when he was alone. The weight of his own words hit him hard. He regretted what he said immediately, but as the chief he couldn't show weakness at the moment.
there are two more movies and they get better and better every time if you are interested, I love these animated movie reactions you always understand the message they are trying to show which is great

This movie holds such special memories for me. I have 3 boys and when they were little we saw it in the theater and my middle son (who is 17 now) fell in LOVE with this movie! I bought it for him on DVD and he begged to watch it every. single. day. for MONTHS. I bet I sat through it 100+ times over the course of a year. I got sooo sick of it lol! But eventually it ran its course, and while he enjoyed the 2 sequels and the animated series that came out later he was too infatuated with Harry Potter by then to share his affections. It's probably been 10 years since I last saw this movie, but watching your reaction today made me remember it like it was yesterday. In my mind's eye I could see that beautiful, blond haired, blue eyed, 7yo boy so clearly, perched on the edge of the couch with his face full of wonder. That little boy is taller than me now and almost a man. And even though I love this version just as much, I still miss that little boy. So thank you for bringing him back to me for a little while. 😊❤

The best father/son relationship an animated movie ever gave us.
I always get moved by this movie because I see a lot of me and my father. This movie can be interpreted as so many things, in my case it was my sexual orientation. Having a secret to keep from your father, that goes against what society accepts. It's my whole story distilled into an animation movie. And dragons! What can you ask for more?
Have you ever seen any Ghibli movie? If not I really suggest you to do it. Like "Spirited away", or "Kiki delivery service".
This is one of my favourite animated movies, it's amazing!

This movie was in 3D during it's run and my god it still up there for 3D movies.
I really hope you get to watch the rest of the series. They really are amazing, and you do get some answers to some of the questions you had. I won't say more than that, but I 100% recommend continuing with the series.
Should totally watch the other 2. The second made me cry twice
Awe... it is super cute isn't it? The other 2 in the series are equally sweet you should check them out. I just think the animation on these are top notch... the eyes... whoever animated Toothless's eyes did an amazing job... Just is a great movie.

NI love the HTTYD films and your reaction was great. Please give some thought to doing a reaction to the 2002 animated film The Wild Thornberrys. It deals with similar themes about protecting nature and wildlife and is a must see if you like animals such as rhinos and elephants.
It is about a young girl who must stop a group of poachers in Africa from targeting the local wildlife and carrying out a monstrous poaching scheme. I really think you will like it and I would love to see your reaction to it

The only movie like this that is better is Soul. Soul always makes me cry. I strongly recommend that.
