      It's a complete change to my normal camping setup no rooftop tent anymore I've just gotta pack smarter, not pack everything 😁

  • @tugboat8475
    @tugboat8475 День назад +1

    That's such a great sign up! You've got there. We still use the tent but that could be perfect for what we need. What you don't show? Are you standing in the pob or On your knees etc. not being rude, What was a full setup like that cost from brand new roughly? Cheers

    • @eds4wdcamping
      @eds4wdcamping  День назад +1

      Thanks, @tugboat8475. No, you can't stand up, and I was kneeling at the time, and I didn't hit my head, and I'm under 6 feet tall. The price I paid at the time was 31,000, saying that I'd had it for a year this week, and that's not giving me one issue at all. They're similar ones out there now, which is just a copy of this one they're going for less. The reason I bought this particular one was the suspension made in Australia. That's under it.
      Thanks for taking the time out a day to watch my video

      What push me towards this camper? Was it Aussie made suspension system, not the usual stuff you get from imports. And they are pretty good value for money.

    We are back in Victoria, sometime we will have to just go for a sneaky overnighter or twonighter somewhere for a vid mate, show off the hybrids we have. I was looking at the Sheoak as well when I was shopping around so it'll be good to see a side by side video I rekon on our 4x4 hybrids.

    Your outside lights above your doors. I bought red taillight repair tape. Took the light cover off (the black trim ring) put the red tape on then trimmed it and put the black trim back on. No more super bright white lights that attract every bug from miles away lol.

      You are an absolute champion never thought of doing this. Guess I'll be off to do shopping soon to get myself. Some repair tape thanks so much for the suggestion I'll get onto it this weekend. Thanks for watching

    Regarding the gas bottle problem, I didn't use swap-and-go on my old camper for that reason, just got mine refilled at BCF or Mitre 10.

    • @eds4wdcamping
      @eds4wdcamping  7 месяцев назад

      The problem with the camper was that it didn't come with a gas bottle, so I just had to take a punt gas bottle. Anyway, it's all good. Thanks, Shaun

    A quick fix I heard about on another channel for the white light attracting bugs… put a strip of yellow electrical tape over it.

      Off camping next weekend with the teardrop or going to test out a couple of things to see which works best for dipping down. Those lights picked up some pale light repair. Gonna give that a try. let us see how that goes. Thanks for watching

    My sheoak, is hunchback turtle mind you its got its own pronoun 😂 was looking at a few others and came back to the turtle, I changed the wheels to kings steel rims, never trusted alloy rims, have the 360 watt panel, threw the telly out day one 😂

    • @eds4wdcamping
      @eds4wdcamping  7 месяцев назад

      Well, I'm still calling it a teardrop because it sounds cool 😆 turtle is not a bad name
      and a TV that came with the camper is Just rubbish. A good idea to swap out the rims. May do that at a later date. Thanks for watching.

    Could you change the fridge to draw where barbecue is, have a microwave where the fridge is, very interested

    • @eds4wdcamping

      That's a very good question Kerry, I suppose you could if you wanted tears no reason why not. You would just have to install a inverter that would be the only thing. Thanks for watching

    What are the dust seals like if you do say the Oodnadatta track -- hopefully bed is not red

    • @eds4wdcamping
      @eds4wdcamping  5 месяцев назад

      I've done the Oodanadatta track several times in my other camper. I never had a problem with the seals. I've driven this particular camper, similar dusty roads and not a speck of dust got in which was quite surprising. The only thing you have to do is adjust the locks little bit tighter .Thanks for watching

    • @jerryrubinek8905
      @jerryrubinek8905 5 месяцев назад

      Great as I did the Oodnadatta track in a ford ranger last year with a ARB canopy and the whole inside canopy was caked . Never again in these type of canopies

    • @pajeroclubtripandsocial4604
      @pajeroclubtripandsocial4604 5 месяцев назад

      @@jerryrubinek8905 I feel your pain with all those canopies; they just vacuum. Cleaners for dust. The way I found to keep the dust down is to use a portable 12 V fan to create some positive pressure in the canopy give that a go and see if that helps you next time

      At the time I ordered the camper, they had a show special. That's why I bought it from a place in Queensland. I got it under 29 K. Thanks, the reason I bought it was the Aussie-made suspension. Thanks for watching

      At the time I bought it, thay had a show special at the dealer in Queensland I got it for just under 29K, a little bit more than I was expecting, but it has the Aussie mate suspension under it. Which was a big plus for me it will actually get used off road
