The south east and central area of brazil has an ultimate advantage: 2 harvest a year. Its impossible to beat.
3 harvests closer to Brazilia region. Soybean, corn and cotton that's what I heard anyway

How's the corn yields in south Brazil though where they have better soils than Mato Grosso? Like in Paraná and Rio Grande do sul.
Not as large, but considerable - also, the South are more focused in rice and cattle raising, so...
