My first mandala turned out pretty neat thanks to your video. I didn't have the tools you used, so I had to improvise with various sized circular objects and a ruler, but it still turned out pretty good.

It helps to draw the circles over in marker if you put the marker in the compass thingy.
Innessa Tsuber I figured that out in my later videos. this compass couldn't fit a pen. got a new one. yay !

The beginning part is where I rage 😂 I can't draw a straight line with a ruler.
Kat LOLOLOLOL I used a different set. align horizontal of the tool with one end of the page and it will help you draw a straight vertical line parallel to the edge. :) I guess we call this a set sqaure.
Sorry, I make a lot of mistakes too, but sometimes another eye can help us learn, you can always do that same line on all of the points
hello! I liked how you did it.. it's amazing .. I just have one question...I'm planning to draw a similar mandala on a galaxy using 50×60cm canvas .. do you think it's suitable ?

Check out Mandala Wall Art. She doesn't use a stencil or rulers. It's all free hand.

hey ! so it would be tough to find a compass big enough to cover a large portion on a wall.. I have seen labours in our area use a thread to achieve circles on different radius. To do so you will keep one end of the thread fix and to the other end attach a chalk or pencil that way you will create concentric circles. then use a small protector to mark angles and use a straight rod to make lines.
sounds cumbersome but then perfection needs hard work. if you come up with an easier approach I would love to know that.

Yes as already said use threads or rope, based on how big you will draw.
What pen u have used. Is that black perment fine tip acrylic marker?
It's Faber castle's superfine marker. Not acrylic. Just a normal CD marker.

Can we use a compass on a Canvas? Would it puncture the canvas or any tips to use it on a canvas without damaging it with the needle?
Harsh Ghai it might poke into the canvas. try using less pressure also it won't be that visible.
Harsh Ghai I have also heard people say that they put some tape where the point of the compass will be and that protects the canvas. Good luck with your project 😃

Creative Chhori yeah am an artist but I actually don't use lines but wow ur draw nice and neat but for me I don't use lines but I draw simple mandalas thank u☺️
You could make complex mandalas too if you used pencil guidelines. :)
I never use guidelines or pencils they aren't needed and I like making mistakes because finding a way to resolve them makes my mandalas better sometimes.

I just thought no one would want to watch an half an hour video hence sped it up. Plus as the title says it is my second mandala. I am just sharing what i made and the way I did it. :)
