    The Yamaha Thr30ii wireless would have been a fairer comparison to the katana air as the Thr10ii is a much more scaled down version of the Yamaha desktop amps.

    The katana seems to benefit as the Yamaha THR10II guitar has a more muffled and suppressed sound in the box. The sound of the Katana is clearer, more present, it's a nice mix of studio sound and live performance. And in the accompaniment with the drum and bass, it's more studio than the Yamaha

      Sound is subjective and depends on so many factors.

    Great video !! It is really highlighting that the THRii second generation sounds great in isolation but in the Mix, the Katana air has the edge. On your lead part, on the Katana we can clearly hear your singles notes and it is very articulated. The mid range is punchy and makes the tone cut. When you play the THRii, it's like as if you did a -6 db to your tone. I absolutely love the THRii clean and crunch tones. But when it comes to practice with a backing track or a famous song it's complicated to cut in the mix.

      Hi! Is Katana Air better for practice?

    • @adilO.o
      @adilO.o 3 года назад +3

      @@vitalii1017 I would say yes. Because it has an EQ pedal included in the chain effects as well as a global EQ, when you want to learn songs using backing tracks, you can add bite and presence to your tone to hear yourself. With the THRii, the tones are really nice and full but sometimes the amp EQ available aren't enough to cut when you play backing tracks.

    Hi, Is there Single coil noise while using with Katana Air and Tele ?

    • @yetanothersuperstrat

      Hi, my Strat's neck and bridge mics are single coils, however the Jb jr in the bridge position is actually a humbucker. I haven't notice any special noise even with the single coil setup and Katana Air.

      Maybe you need a firmware update. Because I recently just bought THR10II and I have single coil pickups and when I performed an update the noise was gone the next day.
