You take pride in your work sir, nice to see. I drained the fluid on my ES330 and started to remove the bolts on the pan until I couldn't reach those few stubborn ones. Thanks to you, now I know how to raise the tranny enough to access those pan bolts.
You can also get Valvoline MaxLife Multi-Vehicle ATF. It's a red container, don't get the blue. Been using it in Lexus and 2 of my Toyotas, been flawless for years

Hello Brian, I have an 02 RX300. When I drive the car,it shift very hard,it feels like it kicked into gear, especially when come to a stop light and when starting to accelerate again, I feel the hard kick again.?can you describe exactly what it is ? Could be a clogged filter ? Thanks
@@corylee6158 I replaced a new filter, but there’s no improvement. So I sold the car,end of problem. However, I really like to tear the transmission apart, but didn’t choose to
I have a Lexus 2014, model Es250. Unfortunately, I haven't changed the transmission oil, since I bought the car. The car is a single owner, and it currently has 180, 000 km.. The agency says that if they change the oil, they won't guarantee the transmission or the repairs. Some mechanics say that I can change the oil with no problems to the transmission, others say that it is a high risk. What can you recommend? Thanks!
Hy brian, I drained my 03 es 300 out and it is about 4.5 quarts. Should I still put back 3.5 quarts like you mentioned or should I put back exactly how much it drained out (4.5 quarts) ? Thank you.
I would put the 3 quarts in started up run it through the gears and then check the level. It’s a level is low had it’s a level is on the money you’re good to go. It’s possible he was overfilled.
by the way i have the same vehicle and my mechanic said i should replace ALL the fluid (which would be 12L if im not mistaken). Is she out of his mind and should i just flush 3.5 L or should i take his advice. I have no problems with the transmission at all atm
Zack Salvatore I hear transmission flushed are bad for the tranny.. everyone I’ve ran into tell me if I do want to rid the old fluid out to do the drain and fill method. Drain old fill it, drive around for a bit and the drain again until it runs red.
Nothings going on. That’s expected in many cases. Typically one side will drain a lot and the other side might not drain any. I usually drain my ATF before doing my axles or have a bucket ready to grab it

It just feels like super reluctant to shift from first to second when I’m accelerating away from a stop or from low speeds. Also I am in Escondido , just had my car serviced at Toyota Escondido. Do you guys charge less than $50 for an oil change /tire rotation? If so, I’ll start bringing my car to you guys instead.

Just kind of snug for the 18 bolts that hold the pan up? That sketches me out. I guess I’ll feel it when I’m putting it back up.

Toyota

Can you use Toyota ATF WS fluid for 2002 Lexus ES300?
If you car came with T-IV, I think it would be a VERY bad idea to switch to WS, since the two are NOT compatible.
If you changed the filter and cleaned the pan, how come you didn’t flush all of the fluid?
You aren't suppose to. That's a known fact
Steve Williams I just flush out about 10-12 quarts and don’t mess with the filter.
