- robertkeeley.c... The Keeley Delay Workstation is a powerful, dual DSP processor delay and reverb machine. Combining Keeley’s unique delay and reverb patches in an incredibly small package, the Delay Workstation is an extremely creative tool.
With the Delay Workstation you can combine vintage slapback and multi-head tape echoes with Spring or plate reverbs to create some instantly classic sound spaces. You can set the Delay Workstation for warm sounding analog delays and then use the chamber or hall reverbs to create a huge warm and endless space. Need rhythmic delays with some shimmer? It’s here. Always wanted to have the perfect ducking delay? One that backs out of the way until your done with your notes, then the echoes fill in. “Ducking” is a very intelligent way for clearing the clutter in a sound that would normally be overrun with delays and echoes. Wanna get twisted? Try the Pitch delay into our Flanged Reverb.
The Reverb side of the Delay Workstation contains all of the most common reverbs and some delays. The Morph control allows users to put creative twists on the reverb patches like spring tension, shimmer, and random flanging. There are two delays included in the reverb bank. You can use these to setup very cool ping-pong delays and many other creative rhythmic patterns.
Two banks of eight legendary effects. Super Fidelity. Super Compact.
The Delay Workstation has on-board tap tempo on the Delay side and external expression control on the Reverb side.
The "knob turning section" is my favorite of all the ones you've done for me. It's so amazing to watch you find the best of each setting. Really satisfying Mike. Thank you!
So is there anyway to have the tap "always on" so to know what tempo you have it on before engaging delay. That's my only gripe right now. In the middle of the song I engaged the delay and it was a random tempo so it took me a minute to get it on track before it was too noticeable.
When i power my pedal at the energy the delay time always starts different of the knob position. :'(
Hey Mike, your demos are great, there is a moment in which I forget about the pedal and just enjoy the music.
Shocked again after Mod Workstation.. I think this may be the final choice for a reverb/delay in one pedal. Hats off to Mr. Keely and Mike!
I've been a long time fan of Keeley. One of the first modders and "boutique" guys that I can remember, along side with Analogman. Been going strong since but it's good to see him make such a badass pedal. Only know 1 pedal that is as equally as amazing but they both have different strengths. These 2 pedals are going to be long time musicians favorites.
this is the best demo...can't say enough how much hearing the sound with the settings shown means...VERY NICE THANKS
Count this video as successfully selling at least one unit - to me! Great job! And it's turned out to be a fantastic pedal. Thanks.
Nice work, Bond.
Excellent demo Mike.
Thank you.
This pedal is on the top of my list to get,
muse!!!!! sold this thing to so many people with that.
FINALLY. been waiting so long for this video.
Paganini /Steve vai that song still haunts my dreams. Guthrie Govan transcribed it in 94 and I thought everyone could play it so spent months on it.
What song??
This is pretty damn awesome.
Thanks for the demo!
quick, and probably stupid question, can you tap in a tempo before engaging the delay? So you can set the tempo whilst play without delay then switch it on at the tempo you've tapped in?
Very usefull effect!!
damn, Muse and Thom Yorke who wouldn't like that!
Best demo. Even than the Dennis Kayzer one. Congrats. Thinking to buy one. But anybody knows if it is true bypass? And heard about signal lost. Is that procede? And finally, im between this one and the Empress superdelay. Wich is the best one?
hey mike i was wondering when you are going to a demo of boss dd500? i would love to see it!!!
It appears this pedal is out of production now, gone from the Keeley website? I know there are still out there as new old stock and closeouts.
I find it deeply disturbing that Robert didn't include reverse delay in this machine
Probably because it sounds shit, And has not much use.
Wonder why he skipped 6 on the delay side?
Three thumbs-downs? What is not to like about this demo?
Can this pedal do what the Hall & Collins echo does? (ie, get that Hank Marvin sound).
Yes 😁 even it's 6 years ago
Duh . . . with a name like "Delay Workstation" I didn't know reverb was also included. :-)
Suhr SG? 3:32
Is this an analog or digital based pedal?
Digital.
If you have to ask, does it matter?
Yes its matters because there's a huge difference in sound between analog and digital. In fact, finding out that fact was the reason I came to this video.
I just prefer an all analog signal path. From my fuzzes to my compressors to my speaker emulators.
EverettDudgeon138 I agree 100%. There's no comparison.
does anyone ever do a god dam high gain demo of delay pedals I mean WTF really??? I want to hear what it sounds like playing hard rock and metal.
