I'actually so pleased and happy for the Holo figure. She wears a traditional dress from Alsace, the region I'm from in France and to see my local culture portrayed in Japan trough anime figures is amazing and unexpected ! Hope she turnes out great ! Love the video as always !
I feel like while other figure brands you can get away with deciding later (I'm 100% in the same boat as you with the Mami B-style, she looks great but 38k???? Hmm...) but Native is just too much of a gamble with the aftermarket. I think with Bremerton (the pink haired tennis one) the only thing will be if you regret it later as her aftermarket is likely going to shoot up but hopefully that won't be the case! As you said, you're sad about some but no regrets which is definitely good! :D Looking forward to part 2 and hope you have a great week out of town!
I'm of the same opinion with the 66k Azure Lane bunny. Way too expensive to buy now, but after market will just be insane so it is like not ordering it is the same as giving up on it forever. Also it is listed as "cancelling not allowed", to make it certain people don't pre-order and then drop it if they feel they can't afford it.

As a Naked Holo collector, I agree that they are important, and I am also waiting for the 1/4 scale. I was going to skip on her since I have 2 naked Holo's, but then I figured "When will they ever make another naked 1/4 scale figure?". It is going to be very unique in the market for a long time.
I think the Pre-Order of mine I'm most curious to see released and in real life, is the chest/mimic girl. I think she was moved up to around October/November somewhere last time it got moved. However with the lack of EMS shipping still, I would probably have to throw her into the 1-3 month surface transport. Unless it is a big month and the total cost is high enough to warrent a high DHL expense. (I never see DHL lower than 16k, which is insane. That is an entire figure in itself)

Your intro gave me an idea regarding discarded boxes! If you’re not keen on keeping boxes around or don’t mind getting rid of them but may like their art style or character pictures on the box; why not create a box wall art wall? Basically just cut off one of the 6 faces on the box (obviously the face you like the most with the character illustration or whatever) and then get some double sided tape and stick them to the wall! Similar to how some people do manga page walls, or how displate works pretty much lol. Anyways obviously it’d destroy the box but If you don’t need them but wanna keep a bit of a memento from them maybe that’d be neat! Basically a cool way to preserve a little bit of what you might like while cutting down on tons of space take up. Anyways always love watching your vids! 😁

Ya I've ended up throwing the inner plastics away for some of my stuff and just keeping the outer box cuz storage units are crazy expensive. I like 1/4 scales a lot so box space is a huge issue.

Trick or Miku is definitely one of my most anticipated figures of the year and I'm really excited about Mona too. I have Shuten Doji on PO too, but I'm not sure I'm as in love with her in figure form as I thought I was going to be so I may cancel her and try and pick up one of the other earlier versions... I keep going back and forth 😖💦
I have two big pre-orders left for this year and both are in November. One is the Rindo Kobayashi bare leg bunny. To be honest, I'm thinking about canceling her. With the plans I have heading into winter and the holidays I don't know if will have the cash for her. Plus, my standing bunny shelf is a bit more crowded then it was when I ordered Rindo (Both Shion and her base are huge. No regrets though). But when I look at Rindo's promo pics my resolve weakens and I can't do it. She's so hot. Damn it. Lol And the other big pre-order is the Portrait to Pirates Yamato by Megahouse. ...If you are up to date with One Piece (or at least heard about it) you probably know why I'm sort of dreading this one. Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful looking figure. But when the last chapter of the Wano arc dropped, I felt like I was scammed out of $310 ($255 + shipping). So now I have to decide to either eat that cost and keep it or attempt to sell it (Having never resold anything like this before).

And when is the second figure in that line up for preorder? Because that’s amazing, is that her hair in a huge ponytail? Or is that a tail? That’s one of the coolest looking figures I’ve ever seen, the clothes are amazing and the 2 long swords are just amazing.

The Violet Evergarden figure is very pretty! But coming bjd collector’s point of view, I’m curious as to why resin seems so disliked among figure collectors? My resin bjds always feel so sturdy and nice, so is it perhaps a different type of resin or maybe something in the production process?

Seriously, I don't think the Violet figure is authorized, even for a GK figure, and it seem illegal for this Chinese Prism studio to sell a Kyoani character figure. Although I understand and I am also waiting for a Violet scale figure.
In a world where no official Violet Evergarden scales exist. Also purchased a Violet resin figure too from E2046. Looks good but not sure how it will turn out either...if it even arrives.
I didn't buy any of those. That said, I have considered the Hayasaka, Zero Two and Revy. For Hayasaka, I decided to wait for the bunny to complete my set of bunnies, I don't like Kaguya sama quite enough to get more than one figure per char. Though I might end up eventually picking up this one, it is quite nice(and the most attractive out of the three for me). For Zero Two, I already have two, and even if I were to buy a third one it'd be the Aniplex one. I still think the Max Factory one I have to be the best one that captures her personality the most. The other one I have is the Kotobukiya(red) which is kinda meh. Only good point of that one is how little space it takes up. Indeed, figure collecting is very space intensive and I'm running out too. Revy I like decent as a character, but I just don't know if I like her enough to pay for a bunny, which are always expensive. It seems that a significant portion of your orders are the OC variety, I generally don't go for those. Because there is almost no end to figures that just look good. So I try to collect figures that I like the character of and looks good. That's not to say there are no exceptions, but they are very rare. For Holo, there are three traits I associate with her: apple, nudity and wheat. I think there are only two figures with all three, I've the Alphamax one. Indeed, a lot of her figure looks weird on the face, especially for the mouth. It is rare for one to come out right. I bought the F:Nex Anya instead of the one you showed. I think many of the Anya(and there are quite a few) are super cute, it really depends on personal preference. I prefer the more dynamic nature of this one.
too bad you canceled the eren because the studio after getting the complains ,they destroyed the hair for making new ones and fixing it to ship it correctly , so the hair is no longer chonky/ugly
I'm a holo collector and I unfortunately cancelled her 1/4th. I just can't justify the price for how inaccurate the face is. To me it just doesn't look like holo at all
i wish GEM figures were scale figure quality 😅 as a collector of the Digimon GEM figures, I've found their quality is hit or miss, tho Anya's price is a lot better than most of their other lines. Fingers crossed they do her justice!

Hiya! While you’re not in the US, i wanted to know generally how much the shipping was for Amiami? I’ve been looking into figure collecting and I but the shipping kinda terrifies me LOL
For Canadians like us, if ordering from Amiami, which is generally the one I preorder from the most, we can only ship with DHL, and with that we can expect to pay around $170 to $270 average depending on the number and size of figures. And that's not including the customs from the States to Canada. It should be a fair bit cheaper for you though since you guys have more cheaper shipping options, as well as little to maybe? no customs to pay after the fact.
Also keep in mind, the costs I listed are in Canadian dollars which in conversion rates is higher than American dollars. That should also help reduce the shipping that you pay in comparison. This hobby just hates Canadians and is far more brutally expensive for Canadians like us...

The Violet Evergarden figure is very pretty! But coming bjd collector’s point of view, I’m curious as to why resin seems so disliked among figure collectors? My resin bjds always feel so sturdy and nice, so is it perhaps a different type of resin or maybe something in the production process?

I didn't buy any of those. That said, I have considered the Hayasaka, Zero Two and Revy. For Hayasaka, I decided to wait for the bunny to complete my set of bunnies, I don't like Kaguya sama quite enough to get more than one figure per char. Though I might end up eventually picking up this one, it is quite nice(and the most attractive out of the three for me). For Zero Two, I already have two, and even if I were to buy a third one it'd be the Aniplex one. I still think the Max Factory one I have to be the best one that captures her personality the most. The other one I have is the Kotobukiya(red) which is kinda meh. Only good point of that one is how little space it takes up. Indeed, figure collecting is very space intensive and I'm running out too. Revy I like decent as a character, but I just don't know if I like her enough to pay for a bunny, which are always expensive.
It seems that a significant portion of your orders are the OC variety, I generally don't go for those. Because there is almost no end to figures that just look good. So I try to collect figures that I like the character of and looks good. That's not to say there are no exceptions, but they are very rare.
For Holo, there are three traits I associate with her: apple, nudity and wheat. I think there are only two figures with all three, I've the Alphamax one. Indeed, a lot of her figure looks weird on the face, especially for the mouth. It is rare for one to come out right.
I bought the F:Nex Anya instead of the one you showed. I think many of the Anya(and there are quite a few) are super cute, it really depends on personal preference. I prefer the more dynamic nature of this one.
Where did you buy your figure shelves and how much were they? I've been looking for an affordable clear shelf like that for my figures
too bad you canceled the eren because the studio after getting the complains ,they destroyed the hair for making new ones and fixing it to ship it correctly , so the hair is no longer chonky/ugly

I'm a holo collector and I unfortunately cancelled her 1/4th. I just can't justify the price for how inaccurate the face is. To me it just doesn't look like holo at all

i wish GEM figures were scale figure quality 😅 as a collector of the Digimon GEM figures, I've found their quality is hit or miss, tho Anya's price is a lot better than most of their other lines. Fingers crossed they do her justice!

Hiya! While you’re not in the US, i wanted to know generally how much the shipping was for Amiami? I’ve been looking into figure collecting and I but the shipping kinda terrifies me LOL
For Canadians like us, if ordering from Amiami, which is generally the one I preorder from the most, we can only ship with DHL, and with that we can expect to pay around $170 to $270 average depending on the number and size of figures. And that's not including the customs from the States to Canada. It should be a fair bit cheaper for you though since you guys have more cheaper shipping options, as well as little to maybe? no customs to pay after the fact.
Also keep in mind, the costs I listed are in Canadian dollars which in conversion rates is higher than American dollars. That should also help reduce the shipping that you pay in comparison. This hobby just hates Canadians and is far more brutally expensive for Canadians like us...
