Man you are a genius. I feel smarter just watching your detailed and in depth analysis. The user was kind of hard on that phone though. 🤕She got the last mile of usage out of it...😉
Hello, do you have more in depth troubleshoooting video about the smartphone charging system or basic phone motherboard troubleshooting about what might be wrong on the phone and where you commonly probe in the motherboard using the multimeter?
Yes I do have course on that on Udemy, check it out from the link below. www.udemy.com/course/mastering-phone-charging-system-repairs-from-beginner-to-pro/?referralCode=EE6FB3330CC4AB718F81
Thank you for this video. I've watched a couple videos like this and noticed that people seem to know what the correct voltages are supposed to be for each component before testing them with the multimeter. Are there certain keywords to search to find this kind of information online?
Yes you can find the correct voltages and all information from the device schematics diagrams, you can search the phone model plus schematics to get this information. You can also check out my playlist that teach how to use schematics diagrams
Hello,I have this Nokia C30 phone which shows a cooling sign when you try to charge it and doesn't charge completely. However,it powers on if the battery has power, what could be the problem?
That is usually a fault charging IC, However you should also check the battery and motherboard battery connector battery ID pin condition, it can also cause such a problem
PLATINUM PHONES, I'm very confused about how Fast Charging Chargers work because most cell phones use 5volts @ 1amp so if you use a 65watt charger it will doesn't charge most cell phones faster, any reasons why? All cell phones have a built in linear charger circuit which I'm not sure what the linear charger circuit is doing which I think is changing the Pulse Width of the current being charged into the battery. The Charging system circuit that is built internally inside the cell phones has to support fast charging? to be able to use a 65watt charger, any reasons why?
Thanks, Gram for this question, Fast charging in phones is actually 2 way, the phone should support fast charging well as the charger and USB cable, The phone should have a switching charging system Ic which uses PWM with an external inductor so as to create different current by adjusting switching frequency. Then most phone fast chargers a rated up to 9V, 2A equivalent to 18watt, well as a normal charger a 5V 1A, a 65W chargers a usually for laptops. You should check if your phone supports fast charging and it's mostly in Type C phones only. Linear chargers use voltage and current drop methods, they do charge faster but produce a lot of heat, are not safe and efficient, they are mostly built-in cheap phones and Tablets.
@@platinumphonesandcomputers If your cell phone doesn't support fast charging that means the cell phone internal charging system IC is a LINEAR charging IC? I'm not sure what the part numbers are for the charging system IC chips or what circuits is inside the charging system IC chips. The theory of operation is the cell phone takes the 5vdc @1 amp and the charging system IC will convert the 5vdc@1amp to a PWM signal to "tickle charge" the battery? I don't know any other things that use those charging system IC chips other than cell phones and tablets but they have LINEAR and SWITCHING charging IC chips. The Type C cell phones is the USB-C cable type which charges the cell phone differently because the USB-C has some type of bi-directional for sensing Heat I think because the more WATTS the heat will adjust the PWM signal to tickle charge the battery. I'm not sure if you can REMOVE the linear charging system IC chip for cell phones that doesn't support fast charging and modify it by installing a Switching fast charging system IC chip? not sure if you have done this before or not these types of modifications to NON-fast charging cell phones to making them Fast charging cell phones.
Hi, thank you for the video. I have a Samsung A40 which won't turn on or charge. I charged the battery manually just like you did, but when I try to measure voltage I get 0 volts. If the battery is dead, how come it draws amperage? Is that normal? Thank you again!
hello, if the battery charges but you measure zero when connected to the motherboard, you probably have a short on the motherboard. Check out my latest video about fixing short motherboard

I have a Moto One Fusion. It's not drawing any current at all when plugged to charging. Is it more likely the motherboard or the charging port board?

Thanks alot. I wish if you can help me with samusang core prime display is showing everything but unresponce you teach very nice
hello, thanks for writing me. If device displays images well but unresponsive to touch its most probably a fault sensor, replace it.
This is good work.
What is name of the tool you are using to test the charging Ams
Its called USB Current Meter
Good job man
great video....can you let me know about the device you used for soldering
Thank you, its a Gordak 868A SMD rework soldering station
On my iPhone 6 the when is charging the volts drop and I can see takes longer to charge any idea why
Where are you located in Kampala because I need to attain the training. Waiting for your reply. thanks
I do have courses online

That is usually a fault charging IC, However you should also check the battery and motherboard battery connector battery ID pin condition, it can also cause such a problem
Good day! Question re xiaomi mi max2, battery specs is 3.85V but when i multitester the battery reading is 4.18V?
Usually when phone batteries are full they read up to 4.4V, so 4.18V should be around 80%
Great stuff. How to contact for immediate help please? Happy 2023
Thanks, checkout my email on my about page
Perfect,, I like that technique,, I'll you it at my workshoy$it only that I lack that small meter,,
Yaa the small meter is called USB current meter, you can also download some app they somehow work the same
I have liked your video add more
