I get pure Melodious is supposed to be a budget deck but I think the entire melodious engine could still be utilized effectively paired up with Ryzeal. Lucas Sacco made a vid on it but I think you could manage to fit a bit of a bigger melodious package in the extra deck. It's not the best Ryzeal variant of course but it'd still be a cheap variant that i think it's worth exploring more.
Yeah it's pretty solid honestly. While it isn't the fiendsmith engine. Ostinato itself eats hand traps like nobody's business. You can just let them take the bait and then play Ryzeal uninterrupted. Good way to play Ryzeal if you don't want to buy engravers

Where is the Mitsurugi Ryzeal masterclass? 👀👀
Herald is a good card but it's definitely overrated. People have made the mental connections to it with it having been used in Izhizu Tear & Drytron. However, there is a MASSIVE difference between just sending a fairy with no effect versus getting to send one of the Ishizu cards or an Eva.
You can use Eva to add Score, but that honestly isn't worth much besides fusion fodder, especially if you already have your battle protection set up, so you're probably only adding more Herald stuff with it like the Green and Purple balls. If you have a Normal Summon to spare, Diviner can dump a Bacha to use its float effect, especially if you discarded something useful off one of your Herald Balls. The Melodius Link-2 can use any Fairy, so you can unironically Link off Diviner or Eva if needed. These little niches are probably better suited for a Voiceless Voice variant though.
@@metalmariomega I wasn't meaning to use Eva in Melodious, it was for its OP use at the time in Drytron because of its double utility of adding more negates to hand for your on-field ritual as well.
I don't even think it needs to be stated how busted getting to discard an Agido or Kelbek was for Ishizu Tear to negate a monster effect.

Orange is so bad man! Don't play that guys, really. Besides going neg -1 the math never gets right with this card, going first you have 28.87% chance of opening orange+fairy, going second 36.07%, but if you open refrain+orange, and no other starter? It's just a blank card! Don't play please.
And don't fuckin play Nibiru, unless you gonna play Small world, than it's ok, it's never worth to waste your normal summon on just clear your field with lizardose, and this deck doesn't care about nib most of the time.
And btw bagooska isn't just a generic monster in this deck, it's a endboard piece!!! The best end board on this deck is Etoile, Bacha and Bagooska, if you have enough extenders can make sp or ip, Etoile can activate under bagooska thanks to Bacha. Jesse is the greatest, but he doesn't know shit about this deck...
All good points but L take on herald. Being able to play orange light, purge and the ton of other hand traps areall really good reason to justify even playing this to begin with
You say that you don't care about nib most of the time, but this is only if you open ostinato...and you don't always see it
