Gorgeous jeep! I had a 1975 CJ5 all fiberglass body, 304 headers, side pipes lifted on 35" Mickey's. Painted it 1981 trans am blue! Almost rolled it on the way to work one day then sold it. Wished i never did! You won't find many much cleaner one anymore like the one in video

Beautiful CJ7! Always admired the Scramblers of the same era. It looks really good in that blue. You are right, always gotta go with the white letters out. Hope y’all are staying warm.

Thanks! My dad has always wanted a scrambler. They are super hard to come by in good shape unfortunately.

Very cool CJ... brings back memories of my late Dads Levi edition CJ back in the 80's.

That's one beautiful CJ7! I would be careful with the front shackle lift. As you add lift using a shackle, the caster angle decreases along with the self-centering action of the front axle, causing wandering. The pinion angle also changes, which could cause drive-line issues. The ride will also be stiffer the closer to straight up&down the shackle is, so the increased length will stiffen your ride as well. Don't get me wrong, it's not the end of the world, just keep that in mind if you ever have problems you can't figure out in the future.

Stepdad if you could call him that had a red cj-7 with a 304 4 speed and it was cold in the winter. Cold air got in everywhere with the soft top/doors and the heater couldnt keep up. Ran good. 😂

I've done so much of the same on my 82 cj5. Same carb, same fuel pressure regulator. I tore out most of the wiring and swapped in an HEI distributor from summit and it purrs at idle about 650 rpms. I think mine was the same color and everything, but I sprayed it black.

FYI. Webers MUST see less than 3 psi or they will flood. The pressure regulator you have is almost garaunteed to start leaking at some point according to a lot of videos I've seen. Quality replacement fuel pumps do not exist anymore, some people have gone thru several in a year, myself included. Sooo, electric fuel pump is only way to go, edlebrock makes a 3 psi electric that can do away with regulator, but MUST be mounted under the fuel tank area, ask me how I know! Your 7 psi pump is now working even harder being restricted by reg., not likely to last long, so get ready, remember this info. I HAD TO LEARN IT THE HARD WAY, YOU DON'T! And of course, forget about rebuilding the carter, it was junk from the factory... $120 "redline" weber regulator seems to be the only one that lasts. Good luck.

The T5 and T176 were both available. in the later CJ's. 2.73 and 3.31's were the factory axle ratios in the later CJ's. 3.54 would have been swapped in. Very good looking Jeep.

Just acquired a 2003 jeep tj, black on red on black.
While i love your cj, i really love my tj, it's got 100k on the clock, but it's like an old man bought it, and drove it then this old man bought it.
It's like a brand new car. As if i bought it 21 years ago.

3:45 if you think 3;54s make for stalls, try the 2:73s I have in my `85. I would love to find a pair of diffs with 3:54s! 😑
