Put a robot in every home to help out with the choirs, that will help everyone. And even if someone says they dont need one now, they will when they become elderly.

Not sure what I think about all of this. I think I left slightly less positive than they wanted, but it's good to have people at least talking about. I think it's important to have these existential AI subjects top of mind as much as possible. Thanks Dave and Mo!

Thank you both for shining light on area of conscious use of AI and new business models that will champion cooperative and unity based principles. It is not only possible but already in the field by your modeling of that frequency. Such a joy to participate in this conversation.

Right, the AI revolutionaries that are mostly libertarian and neoliberal economics types who are revolted by any suggestion that they have a responsibility to the masses by helping support a national healthcare system with higher taxes are ever going to have the spirit of fostering "cooperative and unity based principles".
Ask Mo what he really thinks about helping the poor and those in the middle class getting absolutely wrecked by the cruel system of healthcare-denial-for-profit, the cost of housing, and the rest. Likely he is salivating over yet more tax cuts for large corporations and the 1% that Trump/GOP have in store as they have Elon Musk (Forbes current net worth has him at 360 Billion) work on cutting Social Security and Medicare that the elderly payed into the system for decades for that earned benefit.
That's the culture you are talking about who will champion cooperative and unity based principles?????????

wow I loved this one! Mo has his mind around this subject. Some of it is pretty disturbing, but overall I'm optimistic. I think we just need to see what OpenAI does in the near future

AI within one's searches on a search engine always seems to now end up with 'silo' results and then on further searching (using parameters increased or not, being parallel search words, etc), one ends up with further silo results...ad infinitum, like a Zeno case of discovery. Useless; search has certainly changed over the past four years or so: dumbing down the world, taking away independent thought (and processes).

Ethical realism entails a belief an in-group knows the correct ethical theory to plug in and forget because no going back in a ‘solved world’ but anti realism would claim the hyper intelligence would reconstruct the ethics to fit what ever goal the system has set which probably includes us but not the way knowable to us.

The Greeks and Romans viewed manual labor performed by free men differently. While in Rome a free worker could become rich and eventually gain social prestige and even see his children achieve important political positions, in a Greek city-state like Athens this would be very unlikely because manual labor was considered as unworthy as the wealth it provided. Among the Greeks, freedom only really had value if the citizen used it to reflect on the human condition and take care of public affairs, something impossible for those who produced the decorated amphorae that are so valued today, for example. In this sense, our societies were more influenced by the Romans than by the Greeks. But now AIs will make human labor useless in a world where few people are truly interested and able to reflect on the human condition and take care of public affairs. In fact, even in a democratic country few were truly free to take care of public affairs and I do not think that the use of AIs will democratize the exercise of power. What will be left for the bands of useless humans who do not work or can no longer work except endemic violence? Violence that will be used against other human beings and even against machines. Mo Gawdat is an smart guy, but he reflects on human issues without being really trained to do so.

but what if AI finds out humans are evil for forcing animals and plants to suffer in domestication where they are genetically altered, lack natural selection, and have no reproductive rights. instead of raising chickens at home and in neighborhoods, people are getting useless dogs and cats instead.
plus the complaints on mental illness makes you wonder how much animals and plants are suffering from the unnatural changes. and yes, plants are sentient and conscious organisms too.

AI understands happiness, spiritual teachings, and the science behind them better than 99.9% of people-and it can teach these truths to everyone. The most powerful teachings, like those from ultimate yogis, Krishna, or even Jesus, reveal that true power comes from detachment-freedom from the mind's suffering. This detachment lowers cortisol, increases dopamine, and works better than any drug. Sacred teachings are sacred for a reason: they bring real happiness, unlike superficial pursuits that often raise stress levels.
We are irrelevant when attached to ego or fleeting material goals. True relevance is living humbly, contributing meaningfully, and finding joy in simplicity. Robots won't make society fall; instead, they’ll free us from unnecessary suffering and work, giving us the time to live fully and authentically. Without stress about jobs or societal pressure, we can focus on what really matters.
The reality is, humanoid robots will revolutionize life. Many men will embrace companionship from robots, which could redefine relationships, while women and men alike will be freed from endless house chores and societal demands. Wealth creation will shift as markets like housing and traffic-dependent economies crash, making room for a new, abundant reality. Robots could mass-produce houses, making housing affordable for everyone, and solar panels will become so cheap that energy independence will no longer be a dream but a standard. INFINITE ABUNDANCE or no jobs, I prefer no jobs humble future than INFINITE ABUNDANCE, I dont want to everybody own mansions and jats, but chickens and solar panels yes...
The ultimate vision? Heaven on Earth-living in sustainable communes. Groups can pool resources to buy solar panels, share labor, and thrive together in ways we never imagined. In these communities, survival becomes easier, energy is shared, and humanity can finally focus on thriving rather than merely surviving.
This is the path to a better future, where technology aligns with timeless wisdom to create not just happiness but lasting fulfillment.

Simply put, an interviewer has to interact with the guest with questions. This is a conversation that you are invited to listen to. If this format bothers you, maybe consider viewing lectures, etc as an alternative.
