- In a preschool classroom, Lead Teacher Cynthia DeJesús involves children in all aspects of planning and developing a new dramatic play center that is related to their center’s ongoing investigation of nature. After a field trip, the children create props and set up their play area. Teachers model the roles of the people who work in such a setting and then children are able to play out those roles with a clear sense of purpose.
