The drums and bass figures of this backing track were carefully performed and recorded in an attempt to sound as close as possible like the original song. Every single detail was faithfully reproduced, including the tempo, which is perfectly synced with the original recording in the Nevermind album.

Thanks a lot! I always record everything myself, for the drums I captured the natural feel and speed playing this while listening to the album and then I triggered the sounds using VST's and MIDI stuff.

Hey Fish! Sorry if this comment is too long but I need your help! I've read in your Facebook page that you're studying Audio Engineering. I'm actually studing Computer Engineering and I also love playing music (Nirvana has also been my biggest inspiration). I've been into Android app developing for two months now, and after a couple apps I decided to program a guitar tuner. I have some doubts about the Fourier Transform. So I thought that as an Audio Engineer you may be familiar with it. If you do, then here's my question... Do you know any way to handle audio frecuencies through the Fourier Transform (FFT) in Java or in C? I would need to do it in Java for Android. Sorry for this damn long crazy comment but I've been pretty much time looking for someone like you xD

I studied coputer engineering tech. I vegly remember forier transforms. You could treat it like a normal calculation. Use double veribles and a function to hold your programming for the calculation. If a double isn't big enough, you could make your own veriable using a class. I'm not sure how it relates to sound.
