Another splendid video of the beautiful countryside. You’re doing an amazing job filming Julie! I’m always eager to see what you two are up to in your vlogs, you always deliver…👍
Hi Martin & Julie, that was a beautiful. Julie your filming and editing is a joy to watch. Thank you for filming the ducklings. We will only be on the canals in September and they won't be tiny then. Great to see Malcolm and Cruising Crafts. We have ordered the same windlass holder. Looking forward to next weeks adventure. Bryan & Donna
Aww thank you Donna and Bryan, that’s a lovely compliment! I do try not to jerk the camera too much, so your comment really means a lot 😊 I can’t believe the sound went out of sync when I saved the video, I tried all sorts to get it sorted, but had to leave it in the end, hopefully it didn’t spoil the viewing too much 🫣xx
Watching this vlog was like ‘coming home’. My shared boat was based at Stone so have done that stretch so many times. Such a shame about the diesel spill, it looked so bad on camera so must have been worse for real. See you both next weekend 😘 xx
Lol 😂 it’s an age thing! 😂🤭 Yeah, the diesel was awful, couldn’t really show the scale of it on camera 😞 Can’t wait for Crick, see you next week!!! 😃 xx
Your camera was pointing to the right when you passed the Stafford Riverway Link project, to restore the link into the town centre. There's a huge marina in build just off the canal.
Martin, you always give me a laugh, and I definitely needed it this week! I loved seeing those fields of striking yellow flowers; do you know what crop that is growing there? Thank you both for another lovely journey this week!
Hi Chris, haha I never know what Martin’s going to do as I turn the camera and sometimes only see things when editing, like the wiggle lol, he is funny and he’s chuffed that you enjoy it. Those yellow fields are the Rapeseed flowers, that rapeseed oil is made from, it’s usually a sign of summer when the yellow fields are out in bloom! 😃 Thanks Chris xx
Lovely tour 👌 Wonder how the fuel got in the water 🤔 oddly enough i was over at Overwater marina today and a chap was explaining the difference in 2 pack and blacking lol nice film 👍 regards Glyn
Thanks for the tip Diane, but the diesel was across the whole width of the canal and went on for a mile and a half, it really was a job for the C&RT, hopefully they dealt with it after we reported it 🤞🙏 Thanks again xx
Hi Bob, if there’s a lot of diesel, then they will put a boom around it to contain it before soaking it up. But for minor diesel spillages they will let it disperse. We’re not sure what happened to this one, as we didn’t hear again, but it looked like a lot of diesel! Thanks Bob! xx
Thanks Lore, not really many updates inside at the moment, but we are going to the Crick Boat show and we may be changing our curtain arrangements, so we’ll probably follow that up with a video. So pleased you’re enjoying our videos xx
you really know how to show the canal at its best "THANK YOU"

Yes, she certainly had a lot of babies, we couldn’t believe mama duck managed to get them all under her, it was so sweet. Thanks Julie xx

We don’t know, but there was a lot of diesel, feel sad for the wildlife 😞 We loved Overwater marina, thanks Glyn xx
You could of had a spray bottle mixed with washing up liquid to spray on if you ever see it it works there and then
Thanks for the tip Diane, but the diesel was across the whole width of the canal and went on for a mile and a half, it really was a job for the C&RT, hopefully they dealt with it after we reported it 🤞🙏 Thanks again xx
Good evening to you both, lovely and peaceful episode, how do the CRT clean up the diesel? Or is it left to disperse? Hope you’ve had a nice weekend
