POWERAGE and FLICK OF THE SWITCH are both criminally underrated
Hell yeah brother. fots is kiler
yup
Is Powerage really underrated though? It has Down Payment Blues, Riff Raff, Rock and Roll Damnation and Sin City, four of their very best songs...the rest of the album is awesome, Gone Shooting, Up To My Neck In You etc. Flick of the Switch is underrated though, I remember it was considered a bit of a let down following For Those About To Rock.
@@marioguti9887 Powerage is not underrated. It was quite good.
POWERAGE is their best album to me.
What a solo - Sin City, Back In Black, Nervous Shakedown, Guns For Hire - these guitar solos totally blow me away every time.
Flick of the Switch has some of AC/DC’s best guitar work.
Shake a Leg needs to be mentioned
If you want blood
@@CZACHA88_ you got it
Every AC/DC song is underrated cause there's only like 4 songs that get played on the radio
Because there are only like 4 chords they toss randomly through their 50 year career and listeners just don't tell it's a new one or good old back in black highway of hell bells
change the word underrated by "I love it"
Every acdc song is amazing
No they are not Average White Guy....sigh.
stop listening to crap radio stations, theyre out there!
For me one of the best AC/DC songs ever.
I don`t know , they have many the best songs ;)
This is one of the best songs, because every song is even nice
Fax
Should be for everyone
Agreed.
Gotta love and admire the way Malcolm plays. Not only his sound, but his style, his whole stage presence during play. He never tried to pull off any fancy shit, just rock n roll, no b.s. yet still looked so damn cool and authentic, just keeping the groove, true and steady.
From start to finish of his career, he never changed, and this was in fact the creedo of the band, in the words of Mal himself - "determined never to change".
He's like the little "BEAST"
I agree 💯 I just think he don't get the credit he deserves
Malcolm and Cliff didn't get the recognition but they were one of the best rhythm sections ever
Truth.

Such an underrated song. The main riff of this song has to be one of my favorites from AC/DC. For lack of a better term, it's just so epic.
Is it a good term for you like superb or astonishing ?
EFFIN AWESOME....MY ADDICTION
sadly selfproduced
the production is what held this song back
imagine this produced by mutt lang
@@jonasrmb01 I actually like the sound of this album that's the thing. I feel like with their self produced sound created the personality of the entire flick of the switch album imo
stop using the word underrated
What an underrated AC/DC song, first time hearing it and already it's among my favorites. Johnson in his prime.
I wish AC/DC would play this song in concert. Flick of the Switch is an underrated album.
The songwriting is somewhat lacking (it got so much better on Fly On The Wall).. but it´s got lots of energy and power!
@@fundhund62 Wrong! I am listening to it 39 years later, and it kicks ass! Not lacking in any way!
@@fundhund62 well I disagree, I mean acdc have never been particularly "technical", this album has some fast and fun tracks like this one, Landslide or Brainshake which I think are all amazing. I don't think anything is lacking on this album
I believe they opened most of the 2024 European tour with it!
Such a badass song. One of their best.
The best song on the album
Yep!!!
Yes I didn't know because I'm not really a fan. But I like it this song 🤘🎸
This band has changed my entire life . Everything is very simple after listening to them .
💪💣💥
Flick of the Switch was the Let There Be Rock of the 1980's, raw and energetic! It's a criminally underrated album and the last album that has Brian's voice still in tact. By the end of the Flick of the Switch tour in September 1984 his voice was SHOT.
Yeah I’d agree with that …it was noticeably more hoarse on fly
@@Hawkman1972-lb7jy
I guess you mean FLY ON THR WALL? Or could it be that album was poorly mixed?
Flick of the switch...... what an album!!!!!!!!!!!!
Flick of the Switch is their most raw and BRUTAL album!
Some serious bone crunching rock.
And this song is the most ballsy since songs from Powerage.
Shivoy Pandita Their most brutal album is let there be rock as that album is just an all out guitar attack
Dude, Spellbound was on For Those About To Rock, not Let There Be Rock. You probably got a bit confused there.
I think Ballbreaker is their most brutal album.. but Flick of the switch together with Fly on the wall are so fuckin underrated!!
True
Personally I'm here today to revisit a Fn awesome album. On the 40th anniversary of Back in Black. Because someone else called this Brians. POWERAGE.
This whole album is so good, i can listen to this everyday
Right on nobody has a clue
In my opinion this album is AC/DC's heaviest and it kicked ass! My favorite with Brian.
I'm listening to AC/DC again because of what happened to Mal. The world needs Rock.
It is not rock n roll but hard rock or just rock
And also what happened to George Young, Bon Scott, and others!
An astonishing album. The band came back at the origins and they did a superb album. Isn't it?
No matter if it is called hard Rock, Rock n roll or Metal. It is fucking enetgizing and grand music
In the words of the legend and founder of the band, Malcolm himself:
_“There’s very few rock n roll bands. There’s _*_rock bands,_*_ there’s sort of… metal, whatever...but there’s no rock n roll bands…there’s the Stones and us.”_
So, no AC/DC are not ‘hard rock’ or ‘just rock’ - there are tonnes of those out there and they all sound the same. AC/DC are a *Rock N Roll band,* pure and simple. Deal with it.
Reference for those who don’t believe me (and he explains WHY AC/DC are a Rock N Roll band, not just a rock band. There is a key difference):

Enjoy the video.
Flick Of The Switch (my fav. album in the entire AC/DC catalog) sounds like it was recorded on the same day as For Those About To Rock.
Flick of the switch my absolute favorite album hands down 🇺🇸
Flick of the switch is a brilliant album!
Love AC/DC's sound. No band like this on Earth. Classic.
you are a super fan when you find this song in RUclips and you just think how amazing it is.
POV: you were looking for the Arcane soundtrack, and you stumbled across this AC/DC song and decided to listen to it
No.
pov: you just watched Schnee's video essay on why guns for hire is the best scene of arcane, you search guns for hire on the hopes of seeing cool fanart, you found a there's an AC/DC song with the same name
you browse the comment section for 3 seconds you find a comment about arcane
@@matheussanthiago9685 No.
It was literally the opposite 😞
I was specifically searching for this song
I don't know why this album hasn't sold 100 millions copies...
This is probably one of the best songs I have ever heard!! It really gets the blood flowing!!!! Very creative and underrated!!
Yeah it has with me it was made in early to mid 1980s the strangest thing is why brian will no longer have this on their play set in concerts I dont know but it's a shame
'Angus and Malcolm' were BORN To play ' Guitar .. and 'ROCK ⚡n ROLL ""...
I just bought an original flick of the switch cassette with a sticker on it purchased out of sound shop on 12/15/1983. This is being played on a 1983 model cassette radio. Oh my God man, can't explain the sound that comes from these 2 combined. I'm 47 an it definitely brings me back to being that little kid again jamming to it. I've got it all from ozzy- samhain- motley- misfits- even Ole adam and the ants an everything else.
You’re making me jealous !!! Remember what it felt like to hike a cassette in your hands…it was like holding Thor’s hammer !
This song would mashup perfectly with "What Do You Do For Money?"
Pure,raw rock n roll.Brian at his best.Killer album
Brian is the most underrated singer of ever... But not for me.
Great malcolm great king of riff
At their peak ! amazing !
Cliff with the headless bass!
WOW WOW this is so underated song epic
Simon Wright had to be thinking “I have died and gone to heaven!”.
the whole flick of the switch album is brilliant
Love the way this song starts....
their hardest rawest in the johnson catalogue
They don’t have a bad song. Not one exist
Angus is boogie metal dance machine magic! He is seriously getting down in this clip. That's dedication and love for your craft!
Flick of the switch. Fly on the wall and who made who are the most underrated albums ever
If there was such a thing as assault rock, this song would fit. The band in the video looks like they're ready to assualt an enemy. Brian's mannerisms and power vocals come off like a general about to send his troops to battle.
Best intro ever
Fantastic song..
Good day all. Clearly and totally underrated and single-handedly pound for pound one of the greatest if not THE greatest rock band of all time period.
always liked ACDCs back up vocals, this song is a great example
Underrated album...vastly
This song would be good at river plate
Absoulutly Yesss !!!
Every song would be good at river plate.
These boys are the G.O.A.T
I loved Bon Scott, but OMG this band is at a whole other level with Brian!! 🤘🤘
First song, to whom I start headbanging. I was 13 and felt neck pain for another 3 days. Long live AC⚡DC !
Nobody cares
@@Mikemyers2948 i care!
my favorite song. together with whole BIB album.
I like it when the instruments are collectively playing
Awesome song
Man i think flick of the switch album over looked. I love it
AC/DC is best band in the world !!!
Amazing song and i love the Miller lite in the background 💯💯
Malcolm is just a straight up bad ass rocker. This whole album kicked ass.... still does.
Need to listen to flick of the switch album...been almost 40 years since i listened to all of it
really love how angus starts this song out, just casually nervous like, then hangs on to a certain note, like ringing a bell, wearing it out. priceless.
whenever someone got a new stereo in their house or car this tune was the stress test,i literally seen a set of klipsch la scalas start to smoke half way through the tune lol .back in the day you were the shit if you had a set of those!
Idk man, they got something special, unique, nothing compares with them.
Kick ass and solid - Rock and roll
This album rules!!
Now that's how you start a guitar!
Angus moonwalking
This song should most definitely hit the air waves years ago! Should be on the air waves now!!!
Angus Young is just different...He was always sort of traditional and classic but well applied at a high level..
But on top of that he brings an energy that nobody in the business could match.
I think its fitting that most albums and decals, bumper stickers of AC/DC feature a picture of Angus with his guitar.
GODDS"
Best goddamn hard rock band ever! These ol' boys really know how to rock out! Fuckin love it
+Broken Promises of Poetic Battleborns the very definition of rockstar -ac/dc
hell yes!!
+Broken Promises of Poetic Battleborns Best band ever better Than The Beatles ,The Stones ,The Who or Zeppelin
There's no fucking doubt.
The word is out that I'm about
And I've come gunning for you
I'm a real entertainer, a mischief maker
A lover of no fixed abode
Quick draw on the floor
No law give you more
Sweet talker, lover of sin
You are what you got
You get what you want
Look out woman
I got guns for hire
Shoot you with desire
The guns for hire
Shoot you with desire
I'm a wanted poster
A needed man
Running right across the land
I'm a smooth operator
A big dictator
Gonna mark you with my brand
My gun's for hire
Shoot you with desire
Got gun's for hire
Shoot you with desire
(Quick draw on the floor, big shot)
Hot to trot, big shot
Take a lot
Never get the drop on me
I'm a real entertainer
Mischief maker
Lover in seven languages
My gun's for hire
Shoot you with desire
This gun's for hire
Shoot you with desire
Shoot you with desire
Shoot you with desire
A gun's for hire
Shoot you with desire
What you get, but shot
You can't get the drop on me, girl
Flawless Rock n' Roll Band Brothers...
Flick of the Switch is right up there with Back in Black And For Those About to Rock!!
You got that right boy
1, 2, and 3
This is a good night to lose control
I've been a fan since 78. I am just now finding this gem on youtube. Another favorite simple riff tune just the right breaks. This is going on my play lists.
One of the most kickass songs in existence.
This is some of the best guitar work by Angus
Brian Johnson during his prime in his singing career. Still rocks those vocal chords till this very day!
this was the last album he had his great vocal range in. everything after fly on the wall his voice sort of declined.
We know he had voice problems but He did an amazing job during his carrer.
This the real rock sound .
My favorite track off this album!
So frickin heavy.
Vastly underrated album!
God what a great, underrated song
01:29 Brian being a real "Smooth Operator" way before Sade.. ✌️
HOLY $HIT!!!!!!
ACDC kicks ass I'm 20 and I've been listening to ACDC since I was 7 and still haven't heard all of there songs but ACDC needs to be in the rock n roll Hall of fame. there the greatest band ever.
If they're not in the Rock hall of fame, then something's wrong with the world.
+Keneisha Gregory acdc are in the rock and roll hall of fame they were inducted in 2003 by steven tyler
They really need to kick this back into their live set if they ever tour again.
Probably my favourite solo from Angus. Epic !!!
UNDERRATED ALBUM!!! Great tune!
Guns for hire
Classic Heavy Metal \m/
Love it I think I was 13 when Flick of The sSwitch came out and I listened to it over and over again!
I like flick of the switch, and really dig the stripped down videos.
Nothing can come close to this. Pure AC/DC
this song never gets old
Masterpiece!!!
Happy birthday Malcolm🎁 Love you from sweden💖
Wooww, slowly! I'm 15 and i love acdc or green day! OLD MUSICANS NEVER DIE!!!!!
This one’s the hidden gem. Brilliant.
Amazing AC/DC song...
