I went to under grad with this brother at Claflin University very humble brother.
He's an amazing dude. While I am not black, I'm mexican and 6'1 with the same body frame as him and complexion. He's my role model, I graduate next year and I'll be teaching like Mr White.
Great influencer to the kids!! They see a teacher that cares, so it gives them hope to keep striving through school, such as exciting to show up to school while being on time and participating in activities just because they had that ONE or possibly more to show interest in something they like and more modern.
And you see the deep responsibility placed on teachers because the families are failing. What you described here are the responsibilities of parents. When kids get that at home, they don't need it from others because their souls are full. Black people need to do better individually and not outsource our responsibilities.

God bless TODAY for showing Barry White, Jr some love for being a teacher that his students will NEVER forget. Because, he makes each student feel special, and that they matter. That's what any kids wants, to be acknowledged and know that they matter. What a great way to instill some self-esteem. I love the fact that Mr.White complimented the other Teachers at his school. Moreover, I like that TODAY also showed his parents some love. Videos like this is what the world needs more of.
