Perfect timing for this vid! When I just started my 2015 Equinox, it shook and the engine light blinked for 30 seconds so naturally i freaked out! But most searches are saying its plugs and coils, which is an easy job! Of course the Stabilitrak warnkng came on too so that worries me more now.
That’s good that you found this video. Now for the service stabilitrak warning, I have two videos for that. There are two possible causes that I cover between the two videos. They will be tight if they are original plugs and you have high mileage. Only advice I can give is do it when the engine is cold to prevent stripping threads. And hand tools only. No power tools. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe
That does not matter. They can put out in whichever cylinder and whichever order. They are all identical. It’s just an old habit for me when I do plugs I go from left to right. Seems quicker and more efficient. Especially when I’m filming. lol. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe
Thanks for watching my videos. Hopefully you subscribe to the channel. I have never installed the venting cap on my engine however they are a good backup plan. The cap will operate as a normal cap. However if the pressure builds that would blow the main seal, the spring in the oil cap will pop and the pressure will be relieved until you can get to a shop to clear the blockage in your pcv system.
@@BillOfAllTrades2016Thank you for the information. Very grateful to you. My equinox have rough idle when cold. It's a high mileage but no oil burn nor issues with the pcv as far as I can tell (the engine cap gets sucked toward the engine when open). I have installed a catch can and replaced the engine cap with the vented one, cleaned the MAF sensor and the throttle body. Im going to replace the spark plugs and their coils too. Hopefully this will solve the issue..
It was running tip top. I just did the video because a collaborative partner sent these as a free gift so I showed how to install. Didn’t actually need to. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe
If one is in need of replacement then changes of the other three failing is very high. It’s not a bad thing to just refresh all 4. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe
Yes they are great quality. It’s such an easy install. I’m collaborating with them with the equinox as the test subject. They are working on getting more equinox/terrain parts in their inventory. Please check out their website. If you can’t find the part you need please contact them and let them know. They are very good at helping find the right parts.
When do the ignition coils need to be replaced? Do they need to be replaced along with the spark plugs?

How do one knows how to locate from # 1 to number 4 ignition coils & spark plugs…tks
The cylinders start with #1 on the left and go in order to the left to the right: 1,2,3,4. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe
Looks so easy. My spark plugs feel very tight, scared to break 1 any tips

Love the Video!!! Do I have to worry about torquing anything ?
Spark Plugs go to 15 foot pounds. The coil packs are just hand snug. Thanks for the feedback. Please like and subscribe
Does the coil have to be in order or it doesn’t matter how you put it in I seen you went from left to right.

Hello. I thought you've had the venting oil cap. Im wondering if you have switched back to the original one? Thank you for your informative videos.

Did you put dielectric grease on your E coils?
No I didn’t. Never have on any vehicle I ever ever owned. Never had an issue.
Thanks for this excellent video😁
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the opportunity to demo your product. I’m very excited for my next video demo for you guys.
Nice set, will give them a try next time !!
