I recommend "in the defence of Evermore" Its a 7 skirmish chain that always spawns just behind evermore, the final mission is aviable already in chapter 4 the good thing about these missions are that you will level up enought by doing those alone to prepare yourself to tackle the last mission in the chain. The 7th mission summons tons of commanders that give increased experience and the mission becomes easier and faster with the upgraded evermore defences research in the military headquarters(since it adds towers and canons, kills made by these count towards your experience gains). The thing about the "in defence of evermore" skirmishes are that if you kill faster you get extra enemies spawning and thus you get more experience with little downtime. As all the higher missions the overall lvl increase with each victory and the final mission have a hard mode. This mission aswell as both of the Joint training missions, are crowded primarly by commanders and thus will always have very high experience output, just skip the cutscenes.
Thank you very much for this video. I have so many squads but I had no idea how to level them up, plus most of the Skirmishes had really high LV requirements.
Ok nice one. I boosted myself from level 9 to 50 normal mode from just a single quest skirmish. You want to be in chapter 5 and go after the boss in Hydropolis to recruit Lycorias inside the palace of the queen. After that talk to her in Evermore for a skirmish quest. It will be a battle right outside the area where u go to fight Cetus. Now all u do is start that skirmish which is level 20 and u will get alot of help from troops. U will get 3k exp for each dragon and around 900 for some troops. You can kill 3 dragons but then don’t finish it. This is important! Just choose abandon fight and u will be right outside the fight and can restart it straight away. I got from level 9-50 in less then 3 hours. But if you complete it the quest is done and it will only be around like a normal skirmish and alot harder to find and grind. Good luck guys.
Level 9-50 is possible in 1 skirmish. The key is the game sets the level by the avg level when you ENTER the skirmish. Choose your highest level units (doesn't matter what they are) to enter the skirmish then after entering set hard mode and choose low level units for the fight. The skirmish in the calmlands is the best and easiest; I get over 500,000 exp each runthru. In 3 hours you shoud be able to get every unit you have to level 99.
You can always abandon the skirmish and restart it right before you take on the last objective. Then you won't have to look for a new skirmish as the flag doesn't despawn.
Never really got round to levelling in my skirmishes. My battle mobs are lv 12 or so and my characters are lv 49. I never even bothered with the special skills like the fly by with bombs which I just used a couple of days ago for the first time. I'll definitely give this ago and raise my skirmishe crew alot more now that I understand it more thanks to this video.

The goldpaw army skirmish pissed me off and made realize one of the flaws with these. I got to the end, i was level 7 going in. Had one unit left and only the 2 Wyverns to fight. Almost had one of them killed, until the dumbass ai for the trope leader got stuck running behind a rock leaving him vulnerable to the monster and got himself killed cause all other troops in to die automatically despite not being in harms way. Aggravating even more because i spent well over 30 minutes playing that damn mission and have to do it again all because my troop leaders don't know how to go around a rock
Dranka id suggest any squad you like with a speed stat above 52 pref. 58. since speed unfortunately is static and wont grow with levels. I use Alpha Females (quite late game ) gives the melee damage reduction passive. sword type. Gamma Squadron gives anti artillery training and high speed. Spear type. Lambda Force to buff air raid special tactic. Axe type. then i use the scurvy vipers. I really want a Archer but for now their really lacklusting so its better with two swords with double air raid.
speio, alpha female, for magic ranged and red sword.....the other 2 i use i can't remember but they are spear and hammer and they have a buff or debuff....all the buffs are 150 so you'll be wasting up to 300 per fight, and it really lets you wail on the enemy. Buff your attack and debuff their defense and switch the unit types...one shot....raise your defense and attack....run over those cannons/archer towers....raise your defense lower their attack for huge monsters....when there's like a huge brawl....get ready to activate your triangle and all buffs/debuffs on the major part of the enemy and just bulldoze them....
Im at Main Level 5-1, did side quests 1-36 minus 31 and 2, and have all subjects to get so far. My weakest troop is Lvl 16. I just do the first 2 skirmishes over and over again in challenge mode. Sure, there may be faster ways, but these mobs are so easy even 8 lvls below the enemy troops.
I love this game. A few criticisms i have are they got rid of mp and replaced it with this weird like overhaul of it where its totally limited. Also the whole RTS minigame I'm not too big of a fan of. I miss familiars and i wish we got them and higgldies, but higgldies are great on their own. Thanks for the guide, I'm about where you're at i think, just got to the island to slay the monster and the guys trashed me in the skirmish. I will say since then right now my kingdom is as high a level as 2 lets you get and all my guys are masters so things can only go up lol.
I don't miss the familiars at all. It was tedious leveling them up and 99% of them you will barely use by end game unless ypu want to excessively grind more on of building their relationship gauge.
It's probably to get the feel of a kingdom more by having larger scale battles like these. Personally the issue I have with it is that it's not utilized enough. the game mode sort of feels like it's been shoved into the game instead of part of the game itself. making the skirmishes more realistic or adding large scale battles into many parts of the story would really help.
I find it annoying that the ai can sometimes get stuck behind stuff. Have your squad leader attacked while stuck behind a rock trying to follow you? Congrats! The leader just died so all solders with you are now dead despite being no where near the danger, so now you have to start over because the AI doesn't know how to go around a rock
@@PerfectSouls1 it doesn't help that most up to a specific story portion are optional, so by the time you get to the story specific akirmish, you're severely underpowered. It makes it feel like a tacked on addition
I have not really found a method for fast farming Guilders yet, but I am trying different ways and keeping an eye on various internet communities so will post a video as soon as there is something worthwhile found!
Don't be stupid like me and drive around the map looking for "random" spawns of these. I "randomly" found 47 of them before I realized they are notated on your map and you can go straight to them one by one.
As far as I can tell, it is random. I have had a flag reset after doing just one more Skirmish, sometimes it can take a few more. Just have to keep checking the good ones each time you complete any other.
By increasing influence, you KG income are based on your influence so any research or building makes your income count higher. The Plaza, Tavern and Cathedral gardens sort of only have this purpose. My tip, just build stuff... order dont matter much since everything gives you influence. Id only recommend that you focus on the institute for the cheaper construction, upgrade and research cost upgrades. Other then those its quite simple; just build stuff. As long as you visit evermore from time to time and build stuff you should gain more then enought to build everything by the time you hit city rank 4. At the 10 milion influence mark you earn a bit over 350k a hour.
yes just build stuff as fast as u can and have enough citizens to upgrade it to get more influence. If u have a turbo controller just leave it on and spam the X button if u are on PS4 and leave it on overnight , the max KG you can have is 9.999.999 in your inventory and you need about 3 times that to fully upgrade everything including the costs to speed up the process.
Roberto Austria go to your menu screen it should be in muster forces n click on any squad to replace n you should see a list of available members and their lv. Hope it helps
I was wondering the same thing, so you just have to look at the level of the troops. Not the overall recommended skirmish level (at the beginning of the skirmish match) that is what confused me.
can u suggest what is the best troops for recruiting that would be very helpful. so far i have all i think , but i want to maximize the one that are good.
Most likely too late by now, but I've found Helena's Hellraiser's Toxic Trap to be very powerful for your ranged group. My other groups are Alpha Females for lowering enemy defense, Hydropolites for powering up your units, and Lambda Force for Air Raid aoe damage. Takes just 1000 Might to pop all 4 at once and you can down pretty much any group in like 5 seconds. Hell, I don't even use Air Raid half the time. Everything else combined turns your team into a destructive wall.

Does this still work
@@vyper1126 no :(
Once you get a certain vehicle there is a great skirmish for spear leveling since all enimies in it are swords. The skirmish is in dry lands.
You can always abandon the skirmish and restart it right before you take on the last objective. Then you won't have to look for a new skirmish as the flag doesn't despawn.
Nice tip! Didn't know this one.
Update for this. Its not working anymore with the new update

How does expert mode compare for skirmishes?
where do I go to get the martial system?
The skirmishes you recommend have al turned to higher level different ones in my game!

Must be a keyboard command? I have practically danced on the controller to get through those slow text bubbles (to no avail).
