Hope you enjoyed this video! Only got out for a short amount of time this season but next year is looking promising. As always, help share this channel by liking, commenting and telling others. Shed hunting video in the works. Just hope I can find some of these bucks sheds!

Thanks so much for sharing your hunting lives and a little more. I've been dealing with Parkinsons disease for the last few years. I am 63. Watching deer and all of the other PA wildlife. I had to learn how to hunt and be a conservationist on my own. I'm desperately trying to instill those values on my children. Keep up the good work. Thanks

I am suffering from hunting deprivation and separation anxiety because the last deer season ended in the SE. Your videos help me decompress and re-enter society, thank you

Great video once again John! I happened to run into one of your costars at the Showmasters gun show today in Monroeville. I heard the voice and knew it was Ron before I even looked over at him. Great guy and we had a good chat with him. Keep up the good work in providing us all with valuable information and also sharing your hunting experiences.

Well John, you must be disappointed not to have had a better opportunity after the work you have put in this year, I guess that’s hunting! Really appreciate you sharing your experiences over the season and I hope looking back, you’ll enjoy seeing some of the great moments from 22/23, for me seeing Brendan’s and the Nugent’s great bucks were standouts and shows you have some high quality bucks around and it’s something to look forward to seeing how they improve in 23!

LOL That's how The cookie crumbles sometimes. It's hunting, not shooting for a reason. I still think you do the best job of everyone who does hunting videos.

That's cool hiw you have lots of options for the different seasons. I love flintlock hunting. No special season for them here in Alberta Canada sadly. Thanks for sharing another fun adventure with us.

Hey Johnny too bad you struck out but better than sitting on the couch they say ! I'm having tvm build me a 58 caliber leman flintlock so I can hunt the late new York and pa seasons when I go back to buffalo to hunt. I used to hunt in Bradford pa that's mckean county have some good spots there where the acorns falling sound like rain drops. Always like your videos keep em coming !!

John, seems like that bend in the road is a well traveled crossing. A tree stand for that point would be a killer. Get there early and stay late.

@@Leatherwoodoutdoors2 seems like work always gets in the way lol. Enjoy your channel so much. Especially the snake hunting. The timber rattler is a protected snake here in East Texas. I'm 77 and have seen 4 in my lifetime. Hard for me to grasp seeing so many rattlers in one place lol.

If the PA game commission has anything to do with it I’m sure they will try to crap on this tradition as well. They already crapped all over the traditional opening weekend festivities by opening on Saturday!

yes, usually a couple each year. most of the time we only see them in late spring, summer and early fall.

I agree. If it ever goes percussion it will kill more deer and the tradition aspect wouldn’t mean anything.

I agree with you. I hope and pray Pennsylvania does get rid of the late flintlock season where we can take buck or doe with our buck tag. It's a shame you couldn't get one and have it on video but we have this season coming up. Good luck. I'm ready for archery then regular muzzleloader for now but thinking of taking my flintlock out for muzzleloader and rifle then after Xmas. It's something about shooting flintlock. I don't have one like yours but I do have the 1:66 twist. 50 traditions deerhunter with wood stock. It does what it's supposed to do though. Lol.
