This was one of the more satisfying ends to a character on DS, even more so as Jason was killed by Barnabas and other than Willie, no one ever found out.
I watched the show as a kid in the early 2000s on VHS. I don't remember a lot, but this actor and his death stood out as amazing in an already great show.
This is brilliant storytelling… McGuire a guy that was only mere moments from being the patriarch of the entire Collins Family fortune to die in the basement of an abandoned house attempting to rob a coffin like some low life criminal… from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows.
@@libertubey2199 Well Reverend Trask should have been exposed as a hypocrite but his grandson deserved being locked up in Quentin's room by Judith because he had his wife killed and he was a real scum!!!
Jason got exactly what he deserved. Greed was his downfall, and Barnabas got him! (insert evil laugh here) So much for that character. ~Janet in Canada
Some of the characters in Dark Shadows were really stupid. All I know is that if I went into the cobwebby basement of some decrepit old house, and saw a coffin, I'd get out of there FAST!
both Willie and Jason are not all there are they. both honestly think the Collins burried their Jewels in the coffins. it ends with one a servant and the other one dead. Jason's look of shock seeing Barnabas in the coffin dispite being told by Willie he was in it.............what's the matter Jason what the hell do you think is in a coffin normaly a dead body...what is so shocking about that.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
My favorite episode is right before this one, 274. Check it out if you haven't seen it. Jason McGuire gives some of the greatest speeches in Dark Shadows. Both he speech to Willy and Vicky. He is such a smooth character. As he puts it, "It was a very, very daring caper; you'd have to admit that."
People open Barber's coughing at the wrong time when it's close to him to rise up from his grave and this is why s*** happens to them that's what's up with that

"Farewell, McGuire. You might have lived. But your greed destroyed you."
Learning Barnabas’ secret is like signing your own death warrant.
Unless you promise to keep your mouth shut and have something to offer. I'd offer my blood and be his girlfriend.
Unless you promise to keep your mouth shut and prove to be of use (like trying to remove the curse or being an easy way for him to get fresh blood)
To be fair he had it coming after stealing 18 years of Elizabeths life thinking her husband was dead.
he had it coming for a lot of the sleazy things he did.
Should have listened to Willie! Nobody listens to Willie Loomis!😆
LOVE how ole Barn kills the despicable ones. Ole Barn wuz a good one.
Good job Barnabas ❤

Agreed. Nathan Forbes was another good one. Haha!
AGREED🎃😇💖
Poor Willie Lomas he had so much to put up with on this show
He deserved it. Every minute of it.
One of my all time favorite scenes from this show.

Barnabas put an end to to him. He was a nasty character anyways and had it coming. His own greed is what got him killed.

Justice
*FINALLY* !!!
This guy should’ve gotten the Count of Monte Cristo method of revenge instead Barnabas was too lenient to this greedy worm.
Yes, Barnabas showed more leniency to Jason than to the man bricked up behind him, a certain fanatical witch hunter.

I suppose "Get the shovel, Willie" is the next line. Barnabas can't brick everyone up in the basement.
Nope, they carried him to the secret room in the Collins moseleum and buried him in an unmarked grave.
Great scene!!!
Just like when Willie opened Barnabas' coffin, his ring in on the wrong hand, it's supposed to be on his right hand (see Barnabas' portrait).
I cant Jason
Goodbye McGuire You might have lived... But you're greed destroyed you
2:33. Oh, Bleep!

If I saw the same thing, I'd wait until darkness would come so I'd be able to become a vampire.
@@josetteandres That is, of course, if the vampire wanted to make you one. It could just as easily decide to destroy you.
I remember this scene so well. Got chills! Ed

Or in this case, a vampire was in the coffin.

Willie was warned
Willie warned McGuire and McGuire didn't listen.
He was full of greed and his greed led to his demise.
Couldn't happ[en to a nicer fellow.

Whenever someone opens up Barnabas' coffin he kills them; what's up with that?

He's a vampire. That's what vampires do.

In the world of vampires trespassing is a capital offense.

Jason was the smartest one to figure it out about Barnabas.
