Wish the poles around here were that short. I have a 28 ft ladder and barely reach them around here...Bucket guys get pissed when I don't want to climb fully extended ladders, hanging on a strand. This made it look way too easy.
I train my technicians, that when setting an extension ladder against a utility pole, the strand hooks should face away from the pole. Too easy to damage and spread both strand hooks when they face pole. A lot of technicians incorrectly face stand hooks. Over the past 46 year, I have followed ladder manufacture standards.
I wish you do a video like this but with trees in the way haha over here I have to deal with that and company didn't trained me to do that I just figure it out myself with a rock in the tip of the aerial drop, nice video man
Grab a throw bag and some rope. Send it through the trees first, then tie the bulk head and pull. And never pull throw bag and string back. Good chance of it wrapping around a branch and you lose it. I just make a drop loop so I can untie really fast and pull rope back out.
I’m not a huge fan of those new midspan clamps. I was climbing the pole once and that clamp started engaging and was pushing my ladder away from the pole! They’re cool for being on the strand though.
Yes I go! All of my ladders are made by little giant. I use 3 of them. The extension ladder you see in this video A 6’ King Kombo A 22’ OG little giant combo And a 28’ little giant Best ladders for any industry hands down

Awesome ladder. I'm saving up to buy one. I'm spectrum contractor in south Texas rgv
I got it from a company called Zoro. Cost around $650
