the sequence of this film in which this song plays. depicting the riots in 1968 in my hometown Detroit and a young boy dying in the chaos and his family grieving at his funeral......moving. powerful. beautiful. The scenes bring tears to my eyes honestly. Such a beautiful song and the movie was just great.
Riv Emma Rege , Miss Emma, Dear❤️ you weren't the only 1. I own this film, & I cry every time I view it. So I'm with you 100%. Thank you so much for sharing my 👼. Stay well.🌹❤️🌹❤️🌹❤️🌹❤️🌹❤️🌹❤️🌹
You never expect such a young person to have so much talent and influence in his singing... the fact that he can make you cry in less than a minute. Let it be.
being able to sing like this doesnt really come from training, the range maybe, the emotion, the art of it, comes from the person. comes from being able to channel the emotion in a more pure form than almost anything else in the world
this is the best song in the movie. It has the most passion, the most feeling. The scene is incredible, with a ton of intensity. And the amazing singing, both the young boy and the woman's, just make this one of the most emotional songs in the movie. I cry everytime i see this scene.
This song helped through alot. It used to not have any meaning to me at all, but with some of the things I'm going through right now, my parents divorce, and other things, it means so much.
Let It Be Lennon - McCartney When I find myself in times of trouble Mother Mary comes to me Speaking words of wisdom, let it be And in my hour of darkness She is standing right in front of me Speaking words of wisdom, let it be Let it be, let it be Let it be, let it be Whisper words of wisdom, let it be And when the broken hearted people Living in the world agree There will be an answer, let it be For though they may be parted there is Still a chance that they will see There will be an answer, let it be Let it be, let it be Let it be, let it be Yeah there will be an answer, let it be Let it be, let it be Let it be, let it be Whisper words of wisdom, let it be Let it be, let it be Let it be, let it be Whisper words of wisdom, let it be And when the night is cloudy There is still a light that shines on me Shine until tomorrow, let it be I wake up to the sound of music Mother Mary comes to me Speaking words of wisdom, let it be Let it be, let it be Let it be, yeah let it be There will be an answer, let it be Let it be, let it be Let it be, yeah let it be Whisper words of wisdom, let it be Let it be, let it be Let it be, yeah let it be There will be an answer, let it be
i just love this version so much, very touching and with the given context it just worked so well in the film its hard not to feel very moved by this song
One of the best movies ever an like us who lived through it, we remember the good an the bad. This song always makes me cry. I have always considered it a spiritual song..
Im wiping the tears off my keyboard at the moment Its so inpirational and full of soul It just makes you realize that life is more then just what everyone sees It takes you away from your problems and just alows people to "Let it Be" :')
i think....i need to ''let it be''...this song was a gift to come across...thank you GOD>.i think i can let it be...music truly is a gift from god to communicate to us...thank you so much...i truly do hear your words of wisdom...AAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMeeeeeeeeeeeeNNNNNNNNN haha...GOD BLESS!
if i hadnt been so young when my grandmother died this would have been the song i would have sang this song at her funeral, this song always reminds me of her and the great person she was....
During ATU my friends and I would sing along to all of the songs. Except for this one. Nobody is aloud to sing for this song because none of my friends can sing like this woman. :) She has an amazing voice!!!
Adding to my last comment, I'd like people to take this movie for what it is: A string of well-made music videos connected by a decent plot that reflected the times (despite another review I read). If you take it like that, it's great. People can't be expecting another Moulin Rouge! just because Julie Taymor directed. Although I'm glad she didn't get carried away with the ideas she mentioned in the DVD commentary.
This Song is originally song and wrote by The Beatles, The movie Across The Universe is when it was song by these powerful lungs you hear now and a young boy who also sings like an angel! The Beatles new all about good music although I do like most of the remakes because I like a bit more bite!
this song is very inspiring this is one of my favorites in the movie. i prefer the beatles but i really like the boys voice my other favorite is revolution and i really like that one because its faster than the beatles version but they are both great
I know! I adore this song! It reminds me that you should be thankful for what you have, because in the movie this is the part where Lucy's boyfriend dies in the war. And, Jojo's little brother dies too. AMEN
People express their sadness in different ways, just because someone doesn't cry doesn't mean they aren't sad, And it takes an even bigger person to not cry and do something
personally one of the best elements they put into this song was how it was sung. this boy who sings it doesn't have fancy swoops or anything. it's just a little black boys voice, showing how innocent he is. then he gets killed,,, this was the only part of the whole movie to bring me to tears, because it's still relevant. black boys, girls, and others of color are getting killed and no one is understanding. hands down, the best song on the soundtract
This soundtrack will always remind me of taking shrooms for first time and watching it. Sigh the good ol days. It's really sad when you sit and think about the past knowing nothing can be done to go back or ever exprience that joy you had growing up. That joy will be gone forever now. You can pretend to be happy but you know you're not. Because you are slaves to money and pleasure. your spiritual energy force is wasted every day.
this might be my favorite beatles song. (if not, its definetly in the top) if youre not moved by this song, your heart and soul are made of paralyzed kryptonite.< :' )
We are tested every day, not by God for Heaven, but for our own hearts to examine. In the Spiritual world, the lesson is, not what you get from taking, but how much more you gain by giving.. I am the last in the line of sailors, and fishermen. There are no atheists in a lifeboat. God loves his sailors, fishermen, and shepherds, for their patience in the madness of those vacuous hours in the dark, when it is only you with all your fears, tears, and bitter regrets, trying to bargain for God’s forgiveness, and mercy. Many times illusion, and or delusion, will mercifully substitute for hope, when real hope can no longer be found. Our humanity’s greatest hope is for tomorrow. Tomorrow is where Hope is forever young, strong, and is always magnificent in its power to seduce dreamers, and the wretched alike. “I believe in the sun even when it’s not shining. I believe in love even when I don’t feel it. I believe in God even when He is silent.” These three lines were scratched into a wall at Auschwitz As for me, I believe, above these clouds, the sun still shines, and there is a Heaven that hears our every prayer. I have learned that; the real beauty of Stars is that their message continues to be brighter than the darkness which surrounds them. I also believe that, in the frailness of our human condition, despite status, or station, we all share in this; We all stand naked in the cold and indifferent judgment of time. From the rails of our first cries, to the moans our last sighs, we are all lost in this life, a thin ribbon of time, to wander this road, to learn the greater lessons of this existence. One lesson being, Pauper or King, Victor or Vanquished, wounded, and weary, we are all just walking home, some richer for our "greater lessons" learned..

We need this rendition more then ever in today's crazy crazy world.
being able to sing like this doesnt really come from training, the range maybe, the emotion, the art of it, comes from the person. comes from being able to channel the emotion in a more pure form than almost anything else in the world
This rendition still rips my heart in two, no matter how old this film gets. A universal song.
amazing film, with amazing voices, an incredible version......the best one

Let It Be
Lennon - McCartney
When I find myself in times of trouble
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
And in my hour of darkness
She is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
And when the broken hearted people
Living in the world agree
There will be an answer, let it be
For though they may be parted there is
Still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Yeah there will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
And when the night is cloudy
There is still a light that shines on me
Shine until tomorrow, let it be
I wake up to the sound of music
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, yeah let it be
There will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, yeah let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, yeah let it be
There will be an answer, let it be
best performance of the movie.....goosebumps

the words and instruments reach deep into my soul and god its such a wonderful feeling to be touched that deeply.
