Toast chose a private location so definitely not that much would be able to come and see them. But if they went in to the mall like the roomies they may have the same treatment.
Me too I wouldn't have known any streamer if it hadn't been for Toast doing FB stream during the pandemic, coz I didn't even know that there was twitch for streamers at that time.
Because they chose a private venue for the event If they held the event in a MALL or in public place, they will get swarmed. And if they advertised it thru Facebook they will definitely have more fans will know the event.
she was in conquest lol, an event where people are actually aware of streamers toast's event was a pretty low-key event, it was still a whole bunch of people tho, plus people were pretty respectful
@@_desibees1876 I didn't say that SHE WASN'T ON CONQUEST. All I'm saying is if toast's event was held in a mall like in MOA or MEGAMALL events place, they will get some sort of celebrity treatment from fans just like Evon experienced during conquest.
@@JopethJaneri'm saying that people in conquest were there for a specific purpose and attracted certain demographics with intersecting interests even if they held it in a major mall, they wouldn't get swarmed as they would during conquest
My fiance and I saw Toast and his group at Shangri-La Boracay, we were just too shy to approach them lol. We casually swam in the same water as them and casually ate dinner next to them.
Tbf CONQuest involved way more content creator & companies, events, & days. I'm more surprised they had that much attendance for 1 day DSG/OTV event. I guess streaming in Facebook, being the "Among Us" guy, and 0.4% Filipino helped a lot.
the organizers of conquest were the same organizers for the dsg event, they just rebranded. they tryna not to make the same mistakes they did for conquest. That's why they scale down the venue and tickets. idk why you are surprised, but toast is pretty popular in the ph
The gang just went on a wrong timing, while rae and others are the re for the con where the weebs at, and by the way this (particular) March is one of the heaviest dull and busy month (worse than january) for most in the age group for some reason.
I used to be an yvonnie fan and I saw her at conquest. I was with my 12 year old niece and was at their hotel because we hung out at the mall below it. As we were about to go, we saw her & her friend. We approached her to ask for pictures because my niece was really excited to see her. We kept our distance, waited patiently as she and her friend started taking pictures of the sunset. When they were done, we said hi again but she just walked by us without saying anything or even waving hello. Simply put, we were downright ignored. We would've been fine if she said she couldn't do the pictures and wanted to rest. We weren't gonna push her but she completely ignored us. She didn't even look our way when she knew we were waiting for her. A smile our way would've made our day. Imagine ignoring a 12 year old fan. I was so disappointed I stopped being a fan and never watched nor supported her content again.
Or to put simply she was preoccupied with her friend and you were not vocal enough to grab her attention cause shes with someone. Kinda difficult to put the blame on her.
Also, she's not required to have pictures with you and the kid. It's not the place to do so as well as it's not during the event when they have to do a "job". And in my point of view, it's more like you are the ones who are ruining her day with her friend since at that time, I imagine it's their time to unwind, not do public service such as taking picture from random strangers.
Oh, and I don't say that because I like Yvonne or something (I don't even watch her streams.) This simply reminds me of that drama with a volleyball player where the fans waited and waves and the player did not say hi back, then posted in facebook about the experience. Same reaction as I gave you. It's not the time and place so the picture is more of a favor. Whether she does it or not is up to her. Although, not saying hi, is I think a bit too much, but she's not Filipino so saying hi to random strangers maybe isn't in their culture unlike here where if someone looks at you, even if it's a stranger, you nod as if to act that you acknowledge them looking at you.
We did get her attention enough because her bodyguard (yes all of them were given one) asked us to keep our distance and not stand too close which we did. They know we were there. We were standing 2 feet away from each other. And like I said my niece was so excited when they came out of the elevator when we were about to go. I didn't even notice yvonnie if not for my niece who shouted her name in excitement. And again, as they finished taking pictures we called her again but she reacted as if she didn't see us. Her bodyguard gave us an apologetic look because of her actions.
