Sir, linkedin is a website Google is a website Facebook is a website and amazon is also a website and apple and Microsoft also related to software industry. So, how profitable is digital industry?
Neil, I would have used your service to boost my website but the cost is too much for a beginner. I guess you only deal with big companies. If I am paying that much as a starter, what is my gain?
When you refer to 'an old website', what do you mean exactly? Are you referring to the domain? Reason I ask, is when a company launches a new and improved website with better ux and cta's, etc. is it getting dinged as it is technically a new site? Or can you better explain? Thank you!
@@neilpatel Okay - so you are referring to domain authority, right? So even if you have launched different websites under that same domain and submitted to search engines, you are still maintaining domain authority and website ranking essentially.
Domain age is not a ranking factor, although new sites are dampened for a few months to combat spam. The coralation between domain age and rankings is only due to all the other ranking factors being multiplied across years of pages being internally and externally linked.
Question: my 70 posts blog has 50 article duplicate and 15 paraphrased using tools, (no visitors) do you advice deleting all duplicate content or paraphrasing it, or deleting it or making it "no index" or no index with no follow
So what do you do when you're dealing with a startup supplement company and after a year and half they're unhappy with the growth even though we've made great strides. There were mistakes made and we tried to make it right but they lost trust in us. I was crushed, I loved the product and the people behind it. At the end of the day marketing for supplements is soo hard and it doesn't happen overnight. I just wish I could have helped them understand it's a longer game than they expected. Any advice? Best regards... Rent textbooks, lol you might remember me.
I totally understand your struggles. I think as digital marketers we have all been in your shoes many a time. The thing about our industry is that people want fast results, but that's just not feasible in digital marketing. There is a lot of competition in SEO so it takes time. It's a marathon, not a race. I've lost many clients who have a hard time understanding that concept and just want results now. The best thing I've learned over time is to just set expectations early on that results will take time.
Consistency is the true brand builder. Thanks for sharing this Neil.

Websites that have been around longer because those typically have built up domain authority over time

No doubt, friend! The thing that can come with domain age is an increased authority because they've had more time to build up their authority.
Neil your posts are amazing!!
Thank you so much :)
